Wearing Kippahs in the colors of the Palestinian flag…Jews rally in support of Gaza
We are from the Gaza Strip, which suffers from wars. I lived through 5 of these wars, and I lost my eyes and fingers hand , and my other eye was damaged. These were the previous wars until this 2023 war came and destroyed everything from my home and my workplace
Dear Humanity,
I'm Haya from Gaza , from a family of 8 people: my parents, two sons, and four daughters (two of them suffer from allergies).
I've witnessed the evidence of the tragedy that has struck our lives in Gaza, where my family and I have survived amidst numerous previous wars. But today, we face the most dangerous and fierce battle in the current war. The urgent need intensifies for us, as we have nothing left and are unable to secure our basic needs such as food, water, and safe shelter.
Here is our story - On October 7th, our lives changed forever, my family and I evacuated from northern Gaza to southern Gaza, hoping to return soon, but it wasn't meant to be. Our home was surrounded, burned, and then completely destroyed, Our home, once a fortress of hope, now lay in ruins, a stark reminder of our shattered dreams.
The night before we left from the north to the south was terrifying. Shelling sounds were everywhere, making a loud noise that felt like it went through our souls. Every explosions shook the ground like earthquakes, sending shockwaves of fear through our trembling bodies. filling us with fear. The air smelled of destruction and blood, making it hard to breathe. When dawn came, we saw the devastation around us, realizing our home was now a symbol of loss and despair.
We ran into the streets and with each step we took into the unknown streets, we felt as if we were plunging deeper into the abyss of our shattered existence, leaving behind everything we own in our home: Clothes, important official documents, the car, and literally it's almost everything - the enormity of our loss weighed heavily upon us.
Our home it was where we found hope, safety, and made precious memories. Losing it felt like losing years of our lives, leaving us adrift amidst the wreckage of our shattered existence.
A brief video depicting the devastation that struck our home and our entire neighborhood in Gaza.
Desperate Plea: Escaping Gaza's Allergy Nightmare
I, Haya, suffer from severe allergy to penicillin-derived medications, and my sister, Amal, also suffers from severe allergies to medications from my family such as Paracetamol and Ibuprofen.
These allergies create a deep sense of fear and anxiety for us, as we live in a constant state of tension and fear of anything that may require a visit to the hospital. We fear being given inappropriate medications due to the unavailability of suitable treatments in Gaza because of war or lack of awareness and not informing the doctor of our allergies, which could lead to serious consequences threatening our lives.
MY Father Income
Our dreams are heading towards oblivion in the labyrinth of an uncertain future
My story, along with my siblings, represents a united team of four individuals, three of whom are skilled programmers and one graphic designer. We work as freelancers in the world of freelancing.
As for my younger sister, she is a student studying at the College of Architecture. She has always carried a big dream in her heart, a dream of being part of changing Gaza, of making it more beautiful and better. She looked forward to the day when she would receive her degree and start building this dream. But the beginning of the war changed everything. The destruction of infrastructure and universities cast shadows of despair over her dreams.
When I think of my brother in Belgium, I can't help but feel deep sadness. He has been suffering from unbearable anxiety and insomnia since the outbreak of the war. Sleep eludes him at night, and his physical and mental health collapses under the weight of these heavy burdens, negatively affecting his performance at work. Problems and challenges pile up in front of him without the slightest opportunity for rest.
We all feel psychological pressure and extreme anxiety. The war hasn't been limited to external attacks but has deeply infiltrated our daily lives. We search among the rubble for a little safety and the basic resources for survival. Every day comes with a new challenge that we must overcome.
As we sway amidst the rubble of shattered dreams, our souls wrestle and our hearts beat strongly challenging the ravages of war.
Our parents earnestly seek a way to rescue us from this hell, feeling the heavy responsibility for every moment we spend under the shadows of fear and destruction. They dream of a safe place where they can build for us a better future, filled with security and hope, for we deserve life in all its meanings of comfort and peace.
Perhaps this fundraising campaign represents a light in the midst of darkness, it is indeed the only hope we cling to firmly.
I appeal to the world as a whole to hear my cry and the mournful cry of my family in Gaza. We need the helping hand that reaches out to wipe our tears and build a bridge to safety.
Your donation is not just a donation; it's an opportunity to rebuild life and brighten a better tomorrow. Be part of our hopeful story, for we need your hand to start anew.
The purpose of the fundraising campaign
The goal of this fundraising campaign is to rescue my family - my parents, my siblings, and me - through the Rafah Crossing to Egypt, which currently requires $5000 per person. This campaign is our only chance to stay alive, and I humbly request your assistance at this critical time. I will provide you with a comprehensive breakdown of the expenses, committing to transparency and clarity.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
.جزاكم الله خيراً
yours sincerely;
Haya Alshawish.

Chapter 9 - Jungwon’s Persistent Migraine
There are three things Y/n knows for certain:
1.) Danielle is her best friend
2.) Her favorite color is pink
3.) And the seven guys showing up in her dreams are hot as hell
When y/n starts college at her dream university, Decelis Academy, her dreams start to fade into reality. Things that are hidden come to light and she starts wishing some would have stayed in the shadows.
Alternatively, you’re thrown into a world of supernatural beings. Are they friends, foes, or lovers? The choice is yours.

Sunoo had never found someone as curious as you and your friend group. Well I mean if you excluded his gang of friends, yours was definitely a runner up in the weird and strange category.
After you had messaged him saying that you had gotten into a bit of a tussle with a wooden ladder and a book, he took to finding you and checking on you himself. However just as he had gotten to the nurses office, he saw Mark Lee and what seemed like the rest of your friends going inside. He decided after his last encounter with Mark Lee to just message you and ask you how you were instead.
It wasn’t until Sunoo had gotten back to his shared apartment with Riki and Jungwon that he checked Twitter and saw that Jungwon was the one who caught you. He grilled Jungwon for as much information as possible after all you were his friend now so of course he was bound to be worried.
“She’s fine I swear. The nurse told her that she bumped her nose a little too hard but other than that she’s good to go. Besides I pretty much left as soon as I knew her friends were there.” Jungwon relented feeling the slightest bit uncomfortable by Sunoo’s stare. Sunoo could easily tell that Jungwon was leaving something out but he decided to ignore it for now.
“Oh by the way, did you run into her friends at all?” Sunoo asked. Jungwon looked like he was thinking for a moment before responding.
“I didn’t meet them per se, we sort of passed each other when I was leaving. Her one guy friend gave me a funny look but that was it.” Jungwon stated before going back to his comms homework.
“Oh jungwonie!!! A little squeamish around blood now are we?” Sunoo smirked sitting back in front of the boy. Jungwon jolted in his seat and refused to make eye contact with the older boy in front of him
Sunoos questions about Mark Lee were going to have to wait, after all, teasing wonie was his top priority.
Quick a/n: to explain how this section works: Anything in italics is any thoughts that Y/n has. Anything bold and italics is apart of the dream scape.
Y/n felt strange. It wasn’t necessarily a bad nor a good feeling just a strange one.
After the weirdly intimate moment she had had with Jungwon at the library, he could hardly look at her. Whenever he did manage to look at her, his eyes would make eye contact with her bloody nose before hurriedly looking at something else.
‘Maybe he’s just a little afraid of blood?’ Y/n thought to herself when the nurse began to check her for concussion like symptoms and checking up on her nose.
Sunoos confirmation of the fact made her feel a little bit better and yet a little worse about making him stay there with her.
After he had left, her friends got there and immediately did a once over of her for injuries that the skilled professional might have missed. They had all gone out to dinner afterwards before Yunjin dropped Danielle and Y/n off at their apartment.
Danielle had immediately gone to her room and crashed for the night leaving Y/n awake with her thoughts.
‘I have a psych class tomorrow I really need to be sleeping right now’ Y/n thought. She placed the ice pack that she had been icing her nose with on her bed side table, closed her eyes, and fell asleep.
Seven boys sat around a wooden table their eyes focused on the boy who sat in the middle, a cake placed in front of him.
‘Not this again’ Y/n gulped as she put herself in front of the scene. She could always move around when these dreams happened. As if she was a ghost watching it occur in real time. She remembered when she was little trying to look away from the actions but no matter what she was always forced to not look away.
The scene changed just as quickly as it had started. The boy who was sitting in the middle previously was now sitting on the floor with his eyes closed. The boy next to him gazed at him with hooded eyes, leaning over directly next to him and placing his mouth by his neck. The sound of skin piercing and pain always followed.
‘I don’t wanna see this anymore’ Y/n trembled. No matter how many times she had tried to call out for the boy, get him to move away, her voice was nothing more than a ghostly whisper in a world of silence.
The scene changed rapidly as new faces appeared by the boy. There was seven of them in total. They always ran from an ever growing darkness. But no matter how fast they ran and how intensely they tried to get away it always consumed them one by one. They boy who had been subjugated to the spotlight of every other scene was always the first to go.
‘It’s always so hard to watch him struggle no matter how many times I’ve seen it. It just gets harder and harder to stomach. At least it’s over now’ Y/n said finally being able to turn around and find her way back into the darkness of a dreamless sleep.
However there was no darkness this time. When she had turned around she was met by a world full of color.
A white staircase loomed over Y/n almost dauntingly. ‘This is new’. She remarked. The girl could feel herself moving towards them with little to no thought behind why. Y/n walked up the stairs one by one taking in the essence of this new world. It was beautiful sort of what she pictured the garden of Eden to look like.
As she reached the top of the stairs she saw a porcelain altar waiting in the middle. On it was a black shape that upon further inspection looked like a heart.
Y/n hands reached out to touch it as if they had a mind of their own. As soon as her hands made contact the heart turned red and began to beat back to life.
A hand appeared on her shoulder as she held the heart close to her chest and turned her around. In front of Y/n was the boy who had been the main subject of her dreams since she was younger.
‘Holy Christ he’s even cuter up close’ Y/n thought her grip tightening on the heart in her hands. The boy closed the small gap between the two. His left hand grabbing her waist and his other hand finding rest at the bottom of her chin.
Y/n could feel her heart rate pick up as well as the heart in her hands. The boy lifted her chin up, gazing deeply into her eyes and leaning even closer. Y/n gasped and shut her eyelids tight just as the boy changed trajectory and leaned his mouth towards her neck. Y/n could feel his hot breath tingle against the juncture between her neck and her clavicle. And then without warning two sharp teeth dug into her skin.
The heart dropped from her hands and collapsed to the ground beneath the two and then Y/n woke up.
Y/n gasped as she sat awake from her dream. Her hands reaching for her throat to feel if there was any puncture marks. ‘That’s never happened before’ Y/n shuddered. Y/n threw the blankets off her body and shoved her feet in her slippers. The walk to Danielle’s room felt longer than usual and Y/n knew it was probably because she was scared. When she knocked on Danielle’s door her hands shook frantically.
Danielle opened the door and grumbled something under her breath groggily before taking in Y/n’s full appearance.
“Danni can I sleep with you tonight? I just had a huge nightmare and I just can’t be alone.” Y/n spoke her voice shaky.
Danielle grabbed Y/n’s arm and pulled her inside letting her crawl under the blankets before her. Danielle hugged Y/n close and waited for her to fall asleep before letting her eyes close too.
‘Why did that boy look so much like Jungwon?’
Not too far away a boy lay awake, scrolling through his phone, waiting for the night to be over; his heart beginning to rumble a little below his chest.
