this was inspired by a GREAT fic ive read like a thousand times:

Haven’t collabed with @renconner in a long while for a mini comic (minus our big one, Instinct). We were talking about one of Stan’s lowest moments involving being outside with that damn sign, so we decided to make a comic with Stan remembering it. I’ve also kinda of assumed Filbrick would lie to Ford about what’s going on with Stan (Stan probably did too to some extent).

Ford’s looking through Mabel’s scrapbook while everyone else takes a well deserved rest

everyone else fell asleep while looking through the scrapbook. Mabel and Dipper practically fell out of the chair with Waddles, so Ford moved them into a more comfortable position and took a seat next to his brother. Ford is awake because of his natural insomniac tendencies and curiosity lmao

i love the idea of Ford learning about his family’s lives via the scrapbook and finding out about all the things they’ve done that he’s missed. Stan taking the twins fishing (on a Stan O’ War no less, showing that he’s still holding onto that dream), pics of everyone having fun during Summerween, pics of Wax Stan, etc… plus learning about Stan’s relationship with Soos (and Wendy)

Ford was gonna put his coat over Mabel and Dipper, but then he noticed Soos shivering in the corner. Mabel and Dipper have each other to keep warm (+ Waddles), and he himself is sitting next to Stan. Soos doesn’t have anyone, so Ford put the coat over him. (i just love the idea of Ford putting his coat on people like a makeshift blanket ok) (also i want some Soos/Ford bonding)
