The whole crew entering Vecna’s domain: That’s right everybody. It’s your favorite boy
Vecna: Get the fuck out or I’m gonna shoot Will in the fucking face-
(Anyone who gets the reference is hot btw)
Anyways I’m gonna go rewatch Arcane to remind myself that I can get a queer ship this year (Caitlyn and Vi) and not get queerbaited. Also to remind myself of an actual smart show that does characters right and handles trauma better, I need to cope
I went into the Mike&ikes tag…
an erotic poem:
leg so hot
hot hot leg
leg so hot u fry an eg
Am I getting hope? Yes. I know my posts are very negative lately and I’m sorry for any negative vibes I gave to others. That’s on me.
But now looking back, I think it might happen. I still have that doubt of course, I don’t think that will go away any time soon, but after seeing more on social media, many people are noticing Byler and Will being gay more than ever. Which, if the Duffers were really going for a way to defeat Byler, why have the audience notice anything weird. The GA has been catching on.
I feel we were disappointed of this because it didn’t go in a way that we wanted. Which I get because Will’s feelings will always feel like a plot device to me this season, even if it was or not, I feel that the Duffers should have handled this better. However, they still did their job by having the GA notice something and questioning the supposedly endgame ship Melvin. Byler is a SLOW burn and I totally get being impatient about it.
I am not a huge fan of slow burn (however I also don’t like instant romance either) so I have looked back on myself and realized that’s why I was disappointed. (Well there are plenty of other reasons) So with that, hope has come back.
Again, I am sorry for any negativity and that energy I have given to others. Of course, you can still be negative about it, but I hate being the one to cause it, same with causing hope.
Byler nation, if we’re getting hopeful, let’s all take it with a bit of salt at the end of the day. Because our trust has been broken, and do not judge others for still feeling negative. With that, I shall see you all soon
(I still hate Volume 2 for plenty of other reasons btw)
Oh yeah, it’s all coming together
I know this interview is like a week or so old and I’ve analysed it before, but I just noticed something. Ross Duffer says how episode 7 has the big plot reveal with Vecna, which we all know about in the lab plot. However, he goes on to discuss how there are even bigger plot points and reveals to come. So it wouldn’t surprise me if somehow there’s a big plot reveal about Will and why he went missing on that particular day, correlating to time freezing in the Upside Down. Additionally, why he was the first victim taken and why he is so closely paralleled to Vecna.
It is also important to note how Ross says that there are not only big plot reveals but, also, “character reveals”. Byler? Revealing Mike confessing to El his love for her wouldn’t be a character reveal or a major plot point as that’s been done in season 3.
Recently there has been a argument in the fandom about why Mike can’t say he loves El. With some saying he’s gay or he doesn’t love El that way or he doesn’t know how to say it.
I am a believer that Mike is gay and doesn’t love El in a romantic way, but I also believe that a argument made by Melvin fans is also true and that is Ted and Karen’s relationship affecting their children’s view of love.
Most of them argue that The Wheeler parents are why Mike cant say he loves El because they never shown love to each other. I do think they are right on the part about Ted and Karen’s relationship affecting their children, but I disagree how it has affected them.
It is true that Ted and Karen are in a loveless marriage, and that has been shown to actually affect Mike and Nancy. Nancy has been aware of this fact and she even repeats their mistake, Mike’s is more subtext but it with him dressing exactly like his parents in S3. (Karen’s yellow striped shirt and Ted’s teal shirt or whatever color it is).
This has shown that Mike and Nancy have been affected by their parents’ loveless marriage but it’s not because they can’t say it or show it, it’s because they are repeating their parents’ relationship. Thinking they are in love with someone, but in reality, they aren’t.
Nancy is aware of the fact that her parents don’t love each other. She has a scene where she talks to Johnathan about it but there’s an irony to it, because she is in a relationship where she doesn’t actually love Steve. Which is why she can’t say she loves him, because she doesn’t. The way that Ted and Karen had met and got married are kind of exactly like how Nancy is with Steve.
Nancy: My parents never loved each other.
Johnathan: They must’ve married for some reason
Nancy: My mom was young, my dad was older. But he had a cushy job, money, came from a good family, and started their nuclear family
Really shows how Ted and Karen only got together because of circumstance and not actual love. Because of expectations. Which is where Mike’s relationship with El comes into play.
Throughout season 1, Mike’s friends keep on telling him he totally is in love with El. Basically expecting him to love her, when he doesn’t. Mike may seem to not notice or really care about his parents relationship, but like Nancy, it has him unaware of doing the same thing. He doesn’t love El, at least not romantically. Which can explain why he can’t say he loves her, he thinks or thought this is what love is, but it’s not.
Stancy literally broke up because Nancy didn’t love Steve and could never say it to him. Which is literally what Mike and El are going through right now.
Mike and Nancy are repeating their parents relationships, it’s not that they can’t express love, it’s that they mistook their love for something that wasn’t and learned to fall in love with someone else. This season’s message is about going against conformity, which is literally Ted and Karen’s relationship, and to break through it. That is how Ted and Karen have affected Mike and Nancy.
Comfort characters are just characters you want to comfort
Example: Will Byers
Guys “Space Between” from Descendants 2 is so Byler coded idc
Remember when Finn said:
“Probably a mutual understanding and acceptance”
This answer was regarding Will’s feelings, not his sexuality.
So there will be a confession in Volume 2 and it’s a mutual understanding. Which means he understands the feeling, and that it is mutual. Now, maybe I am stupid and that mutual does not mean you feel the same, but still, that wording gave me hope. Because it’s like “The feeling is mutual.”
I might be crazy and I probably am reaching who knows? But for the people who say that this was negative? That’s honestly a positive in my opinion
I use she/theyThe bisexuality is strong with this oneSonic fan dubs and Kurtis Conner are the only things I laugh at anymore
