Genuinely and unironically my philosophy abt music has expanded to “stop writing off music because it’s from a specific genre” and I think that could be applied to most mediums actually
Totally in love with adventure time lore about deities, monsters, natural cycles, and magical items. The Adventure Time universe is one of the most interesting and complete I've ever seen and the only reason it's so underestimated is because it belongs to a "children's" show. I love how most of the lore of deities and such are similar to popular prototypes of legends and stories of gods and warriors from our reality. For example deity A (GOLB) kills the wife of deity B (magical man) causing him to lose his sanity and become a dictator in his homeland, then this deity (magical man) is kicked out of his land by other deities, creating disasters in the land he arrives in (Ooo). A human trying to save her lover from a curse crosses his path in Ooo and gains his powers making her lose her sanity. Then to escape the cycle of madness that encloses her and her lover this human decides to sacrifice herself by fusing with the deity that started all this disaster (GOLB) avoiding a new attack from said deity. And this is just a minimal part of the adventure time's lore, every magic object, god, monster and every character has its own lore that unite forming a very complete and magic, sad, crazy and fucking amazing universe.

I swap my appearance pretty often but I've got three that I always return to. The only one with lore is this green guy, I've taken to calling him Grotto. He runs a plantation on a boiling planet and likes to cook. I like to imagine that he's short with his words, but not impolite. It's also funny to me that all the bases I consider to be his are on the worst of planets. You're wondering through an acid storm, life support getting low with no hope in sight. When you round a hill and suddenly find yourself face to face with this homely little house. Somehow unphased by the hostility surrounding it. Grotto opens the door and invites you in without saying much, only guiding you towards the dining table and serving you a bowl of delicious vegetable stew.
"Magic is simple in concept but more complex in execution. All it requires is you focusing your will out into the world. However, your mind has to be precise in it's intentions. Emotions such as rage or sadness may increase or dampen the effect. Letting your thoughts stray in the middle of the cast may manifest an entirely different spell. And if you don't have the will power, if you don't believe you can, the spell will never be possible. Always remember that you are magic, you are powerful, but you must stay focused."

Sketched up some Estenians from my universe. Dressed in great kilts, they are a tall people with fair skin and grim faces. They are basically ex-vikings that grew to be so successful and rich, that they no longer needed to raid in order to survive in their homeland. Their first king had the wisdom to force some less than fair trade agreements that still fuel the economy till this day and provides luxuries that the people likely couldn't live without. There isn't a nation in the world that doesn't owe their empire tribute in some form.
