Hey y'all!
I've been planning on jumping ship from Adobe Photoshop (needed it for school unfortunately) to Clip Studio Paint for a while now. Now that I'm done with school, I figured now was as good a time as any.
I was hoping some fellow artists could give me some tips on using CSP? Especially people who used to use Adobe themself.
I'm particularly looking for some help with brushes. I'm hoping to find something similar to what I used with adobe (the basic hard round pressure size brush and hard round pressure opacity brush). And then of course anything to do with navigating CSP would be helpful.
I know a big part of me learning CSP will have to be me figuring out what I like myself, but any help (personal tips or useful online tutorials) would be much appreciated <3
Found this art meme and decided to give it a shot for some of my ocs. Warning for my really, really old art from when I first stated drawing lol.
Gonna be starting with Ebony Crow:
Ebony's stayed roughly the same over the years, with his main change being the vibe of his wardrobe. Death Omens was actually set in a completely modern world originally and magic users didn't lean into formal and/or old fashioned wear, so he got a simple hoodie and tall boots.
He's much more dapper now, which fits his serious and academic vibes very well imo, but he's always had his mainly grey color scheme, his eye covering, his long black hair pulled into a loose pony, and lack of smile.
The biggest change beyond his wardrobe is probably his staff. Originally the staff was meant to look like a twisty wizard's staff, now its design is meant to look like a cross between a magic staff and a white cane.
Also more red accents to tie into ✨Crow Family Colors✨.
"She was standing inside the Secret Garden. It was the sweetest, most mysterious-looking place anyone could imagine." - Pages 96-97 of The Secret Garden.
Another Illustration for class! We were meant to select a scene from classical literature and illustrate it. I chose "The Secret Garden", specifically when Mary finds the garden!
First time ever posting art in the Skullduggery fandom and its a joke
Context: Was talking with someone about how Kenspeckle's plan to fight vampires with sea water would work if he was given a water gun. New headcanon is that Valkyrie gave him a water gun later on as an apology for ruining his initial plan.
(Note: I'm not very far in the series, so be wary with spoilers if you interact please!)
Gonna be posting the drawings I made for artfight tomorrow btw!! They're all scheduled up in the qq :3
Art from this semester! I got to do a really fun project with my printmaking professor: I made a digital design (very right), had it laser cut/printed onto some plywood (center), and got to print it out onto paper (very left)!
The big mushroom in the center is based on a Fly Agaric mushroom (think the traditional mushroom with a red cap and white spots).
I hope he got some quality cat time before Ireland 😔
Finishing up the requests from November-January! Starting with a request from @nicstylus, who requested a drawing of Tesseract and his cat!
