"Show how far your ocs have evolved via their first and latest image."

Part 2 of me using this meme for my ocs (Part 1 here).

Warning for my really, really old art from when I first stated drawing and also blood + cigarettes this time around!

Old art of op that depicts a full body drawing of their oc Thorne, who is leaned up against a tree and smoking a cigarette. She has light skin, long black hair that goes down her back, and various bandaged and bleeding injuries. She's wearing a light grey tank top, blue jeans, tall black boots, and black fingerless gloves.
A 3/4s body drawing of op's oc Thorne Crow. She has dark, messy hair that's pulled up into a messy ponytail, light skin, and various scars. She's wearing a greenish-grey cropped tank top, and is posed to be stretching her arms. She has a light smile on her face.
Drawing depicts a full body drawing of op's oc Thorne. She is wearing a tan top, a grey jean vest, baggy grey pants, and dark brown combat boots. She has various brown belts, black fingerless gloves, and a necklace with a tooth attached to it. She is drawn muscular, has various scars, and mouth piercings. Her hair is dark, messy and styled in a sort've wolfcut.

Off to the side are references for the badges included on her vest. These include a light grey badge with "sorry not sorry" written on it, a red badge with a crow design, and a black badge with "no fucks" written on it.

It's Thorne Crow's turn!

So of the Death Omens characters I'd argue Thorne has gone through the most change. When I first made Thorne I was really into making agile, assassin like female characters. She was supposed to be quick and nimble rather than an absolute powerhouse who brute forces her way through every fight. I also loved suppeerrrr long hair back then. It was about a year or so after that original drawing that I decided to give her a change. I wanted Thorne to be more of a brawler type character, for her to have a tough/rebellious vibe, and for her to look like she's gone through some rough situations to get to where she is today. She got a broader/muscular build, her signature vest, more scars, and her hair got chopped short. And all her following updates/redesigns would follow that same trend (with small changes to color palette and hair length; her first redesign gave her essentially a pixie cut in comparison to her current wolf cut, for example.)

There has been a few things that've stayed the same however. The hunter brand on her arm, for example, has made some changes in appearance and location, but its always been there. She's also always had her dark hair, a cigarette on hand, and a knack for gathering a concerning number of injuries during a fight.

(Also her long hair has made a comeback before, in an au design!! Ironically she is an actual assassin in this au lol)

A series of three drawings of an Genshin au version of op's oc Thorne. She has pale skin, messy long dark hair pulled into a low ponytail, and various scars. In some drawings she is wearing a white undershirt, and in others she's dressed fully in a red and black vest, large belts, and dark pants.

Left to right, Thorne is posed rolling up her sleeves, stretching her arm across her chest, and pulling up her hair.

Does anyone know of social medias that might be worth it to check out for art posting?

Preferably smaller stuff since I'm not huge on the big names sites (insta, tiktok, twitter, etc) but I'm willing to hear people out on bigger sites.

A full body drawing of an inkcap mushroom inspired witch design. The character has long, white hair and greyed skin with dark makeup/markings smudged on their face and hands. They have piercing white eyes. They're wearing a tattered cloak that comes down to their ankles; its colored with a grey to black, top to bottom gradient. They have an old fashioned white shirt with a deep v-cut and loose grey pants, both of which are smudged with dirt. There's a belt with rope, crystals, and tassels hanging off it at their waist and they're wearing grey boots.

The witch hat on their head has crystals hanging off the brim, and its colored in a black to white gradient similar to their cloak. Off to the side is a reference for a necklace-like item, with grey beads, black crystals, and potion bottles full of a black substance.

Finally get to share the character design I made for my illustration final! This is a witch based on/inspired by an inkcap mushroom ^^ it was a bit difficult deciding what direction I wanted to go in for them, but I'm really happy with how they turned out!

There's a second part to the final, which is a full illustration including the character ^^ I'll link it here in a bit!

An illustrated scene from "The Secret Garden", showing the main character entering the secret garden for the first time. The main character is depicted with brown hair pulled into loose ponytails, light skin, and pale vaguely victorian inspired clothes. In her hand is a golden key, and she's posed stepping out from behind a door with her eyes wide at the scenery around her.

The main character is posed in the center of the image. Around her are vines and moss climbing up old brown brick walls. Before her stands an overgrown and massive pile of foliage and moss, and flowering plants. The image is framed by two green silhouettes of trees.

"She was standing inside the Secret Garden. It was the sweetest, most mysterious-looking place anyone could imagine." - Pages 96-97 of The Secret Garden.

Another Illustration for class! We were meant to select a scene from classical literature and illustrate it. I chose "The Secret Garden", specifically when Mary finds the garden!

Updated Reference For My Oc Bryn Mac'Tire (They/He)! Bryn Is A Character From The Ever Expanse And Is

Updated reference for my oc Bryn Mac'Tire (They/He)! Bryn is a character from The Ever Expanse and is basically a very grumpy healer who just wants to be left alone so they can live in their cabin in peace but also can't bring themself to turn anyone in need away (cause they're nice).

They are also a werewolf (specifically the kind that's part man, part wolf in comparison to the traditional "turns during the full moon" type) to explain some of their features.

Hey y'all!

I've been planning on jumping ship from Adobe Photoshop (needed it for school unfortunately) to Clip Studio Paint for a while now. Now that I'm done with school, I figured now was as good a time as any.

I was hoping some fellow artists could give me some tips on using CSP? Especially people who used to use Adobe themself.

I'm particularly looking for some help with brushes. I'm hoping to find something similar to what I used with adobe (the basic hard round pressure size brush and hard round pressure opacity brush). And then of course anything to do with navigating CSP would be helpful.

I know a big part of me learning CSP will have to be me figuring out what I like myself, but any help (personal tips or useful online tutorials) would be much appreciated <3

An illustration of a witch standing in dark woods. The witch is surrounded by trees, foliage/grass, and mushrooms. The background is misty, and the scenery is colored a dark grey-ish blue. There are barely any leaves on the trees, and nothing living aside from the witch can be spotted.

The witch is dressed in a tattered grey-black gradient cloak which billows around them, a grey-black gradient witch hat with gems hanging off the brim, and a white shirt and grey pants. Their arm is outstretched and a necklace-like object is resting in their hand. They have black makeup/marking smudged on their face and arm.

The second half to my illustration final! I thought an eerie forest setting was fitting of the witch I designed ^^

A full body reference of op's oc Harrowed Omens. They are a lean, olive skinned character with fluffy, dark asymmetrical hair. They have heterochromic eyes (gold on the left, dark brown on the right), and a soft smile. They're wearing a flowing v-neck grey-brown top, dark brown pants, a dark double belt, dark gloves, and light brown shoes. All their clothes are heavily embroidered with sigils. They're wearing a gold necklace, a long dangling purple crystal earring, and a loose gold belt/chain.
Another version of the prior image except the sigils are now highlighted gold for easier viewing. The image description repeats below:

A bunch of doodles of op's oc Harrowed Omens.

In the center is three different headshot/portrait doodles. One has Harrowed with their shoulder raised and their head turned towards it, the other has them turned to the left and looking off in the distance, and the final doodle has them facing forward and looking disgruntled at someone. Each one is wearing a different outfit and has a different earring set.

Towards the top are two hand doodles, showing a close up of the sigils on their gloves.

At the bottom is a doodle of a notebook/sketchbook used for their sigil studies and an embroidery hoop.

Sometimes you really get into a book series and you end up making an oc for it.

Anyways. Skulduggery Pleasant oc! This is Harrowed Omens (Harrow to mortals, Harry to friends). They/Them. Adept Sorcerer with a Signum Linguist discipline. Around 70-80 years old chronologically probably? Maybe a little older.

They wear ornate clothes and accessories covered in sigils, all engraved and embroidered by their own hand. Sometimes they keep extra accessories on hand in case they need other specific sigils. The left main reference is what the sigils actually look like, and the right reference has the sigils highlighted so they're easier to see.

I. do not know what all the sigils do lol. I've only decided what most of their glove sigils do.

They're the owner of a lil cafe. Its a warm, cozy place primarily visited by Ireland's magical community. There's food to eat, drinks to sip, and books to read a plenty. There's always an old record player playing music in the corner and warm lighting.

They're not fond of people who disrupt the peace of their cafe (even less so if the disruption is destructive), its a sure-fire way to end up on the "do not serve" list.

Harrowed takes studying for their discipline very seriously and enjoys it a lot, its very much a passion of theirs. They also hold a lot of respect for masters of their respective crafts (Signum Linguists, magical Embroiderers/Tailors/Seamsters).

That's. about everything I remember thinking up for them lol. Big thanks to @nicstylus for listening to me talk about Harrowed and helping with some ideas for them! ^^
