Chapter 21

He was heavily panting though no one could really blame him as what he had just achieved took him months and a tremendous amount of willpower, he was no Hailey but he was able to pull through. He had to move quickly before him mother noticed he had disappeared from the manor. He had at most an hour, he had done well in getting her used to him ignoring her for a small amount of time but she would eventually notice. Without looking back he ran as far as he could away from the manor to avoid his mother hearing him. As soon as he felt that he was a good distance away he apparated to Diagon Alley and headed straight to Gringotts to finish what his father had started.

***a few hours later in Mystic Falls***

What was once a quiet and tranquil abandoned mansion deep in the forest was now an area subjugated to the ranting and complaining of one Lucius Malfoy. He was berating the original mother for having thought of such an unstable plan and internally himself for even thinking that with all her years she would have some sort of wisdom. A fat load of dragon dung did her wisdom help in deterring the Potter family! If anything this could be seen as a minor setback to the family and just make them come closer together.

“Arghhh! Worthless vampire! She couldn’t even do any actual damage what was the point of even using her?! A compulsion spell should have been enough to cause at least some bodily harm. I thought you said that the boy was younger than her, shouldn’t he have been weaker?!”, it was quite the unattractive look for Lucius, his face was red with furry clashing terribly with his platinum blonde hair. Esther was of the same state not caring to being talked to as if an underling but needing the abominations momentarily put up with some of the undermining talk. But she needed him to know or at least think that the plan wasn’t entirely pointless.

“He is younger and he should have been weaker than her! No doubt that my abominations have something to do with it. But fret not dear Lucius, now that they’ve dealt with that waste of space their guards are let down.”, her face was set in displeasure at the thought of her mistakes but turned into a sinister smirk, which Lucius hesitantly copied.

“Which will be the perfect time for us to get them. That harlot Potter just had to spread her legs for that undead filth. Now instead of having to just get rid of her mate we need to rid her of those filthy halflings! She’ll be distraught enough that my son can easily swoop in and claim her.”, it was considered absolute sacrilege to even consider harming a child of the magical community, but to find out that his son had lost his chance to impregnate Potter made him absolutely mental. Even more so with the ridiculous creature protection laws but Lucius Malfoy is determined to have Hailey Potter under his boot or at the very least gain her position of power in their community. He’s willing to even do the world a great service by getting rid of the plague of vampirism. He was thinking up a plan and voicing them to Esther when Perseus ran in.

“Malfoy! I have some news from home! It’s terrible, your son is rebelling!”, Parkinson said while In between pants. Lucius had thought ahead in keeping up with the news back home and got the Prophet to deliver them. He rushed back to their dingy base once he had read the news, Draco had been able to break out of his father’s imperious orders and get to Gringotts to declare his father unfit to run family affairs. Lucius had never before whipped around his head so fast and had never turned red so quickly.

“What?!??!”, after reading the article his face once again became red with anger but it was more intense and clashed even more horribly with his platinum hair. He ripped the paper to bits and shouted out. He then proceeded to break anything in the room the muggle way. Esther sat back on a recently transfigured chair and rubbed her forehead tiredly as she watched the damage unfold. Things had gotten a lot more difficult.

Everyone was on edge even though Katherine had been dealt with, it wasn’t enough to ease all their nerves. The Originals were told about how Hailey’s immortality worked. Like Klaus they assumed that it worked similarly to theirs: eternally youthful but still very much killable. When in fact hers was true immortality: She was unable to stay dead. But it still made them worried, Stefan had felt the bond tear painfully and then mere minutes after become somewhat mended. He had gone feral and Klaus worries about his mentality if Hailey died again but came back again. One thing was for certain, the couple didn’t want to be apart and clung onto each other harder than before and everyone was happy Katherine was gone, well almost everyone.

When Damon and Elena came to everyone was gone but Katherine had been left behind. Seeing as how she was still breathing made the Originals question why they were just leaving her free. The wizards then explained the terrifying powers of the dementors, in their mere presence you shall fear the coldness of death and relive your worst memories. Their kiss, however, was much worse. A dementor kiss meant that your very soul was to be sucked out and it leaves the victim as nothing more than a living husk. Bill tried to say to make them understand is that she was like a brain dead patient: living but no chance whatsoever to recover. That gave the barely enough assurance they could leave her…she’ll eventually just die on her own.

Damon was more erratic and frantic than Elena had ever seen before. They had heard the whole explanation of what Potter did to Katherine. While apart of her is horrified of what Potter is capable of another part is silently thankful that Katherine won’t be able to harm her anymore. Damon, however, looked absolutely distraught. He was kneeling near Katherine and holding her close but she was just…there. Damon had thought to bring her blood to maybe get some reaction but nothing he did had gotten her to even flinch. Internally, Elena was sneering at the scene but outwardly she had a look of remorse. How dare Damon lead her on when he still had feelings for Katherine. (Pot calling the kettle black)

She stepped forward to put her hand on his shoulder when he looked like he had given up but she was unpleasantly surprised and terrified when Damon had stood up quickly and hissed at her. “DON’T TOUCH ME, ELENA!”, it’s as if Damon’s golden image that he had been carefully crafting was breaking apart. He had tried so hard to play the bad boy turned good to get Elena. Katherine had long made her decision and showed that he was really nothing to her other than a plaything but Elena…she looked just like her and to Damon that was enough. He was even planning to slowly turn her and change her personality to be more like Katherine. But seeing the real deal practically dead at his feet cause everything to start breaking in his head.

“Damon?!”, she was startled and flinched back, she didn’t notice the flash of remorse in his eyes but was immediately replaced by anger.

“She gone Elena! Everything I have ever done was to have HER and now she’s gone!”, he was started to let angry tears out.

“But, Damon you still have-“, she tried to appeal to him, if anything to calm him down.

“You’ll never be her! You could never replace her! I can’t believe I was stupid enough to believe that YOU could ever be enough!”, his chest heaving he sped out of the house. He needed a drink, a strong one and maybe a few sorority girls. He left Elena alone and for the first time she really realized that she was alone. Everyone had either distanced themselves or turned on her, she was alone. A small creak came from the entrance and her heart leaped maybe Damon had realized that she was not a replacement. But her look of hope turned into confusion… and a hint of fear.

“Who are you?”

*With Hailey Potter*

The Potter mansion had been filled to the brim once everyone one decided that there was safety in numbers to if anything to ease paranoia. It turned out Katherine had fed from a member of the pack, just as Hailey feared, but Katherine luckily just drained him and then snapped his neck. So long without appropriate amount of blood would have made anyone look appetizing to a vampire. The Originals got to see first hand how much their brother’s pack meant to him. Klaus had went into a slight panic but was placated once the young hybrid had recovered.

It had been about a month since the incident. The pack, after learning what Katherine had done and was planning to do to the twins, had become a bit more protective and took their patrols a lot more seriously. Hailey was thankful but she didn’t want to spend time away from her new home. She had just gotten everything to feel like home, moving portraits of her ancestors were hung up, family heirlooms were placed in their respective areas, and most importantly the final extension to the mansion was finished. Since even before becoming the mistress of death she had a connection to Thestrals that she couldn’t explain. It was only until after it made sense why the Thestrals had practically herded themselves around her in CoMC and why they would even go as far as to allow her to touch their wings and ride them.

She had gotten an extension to the mansion property that was completely invisible to the muggles. She had decided to keep a herd of thestrals and they had just arrived and was bonding with her and the others but the the whole fiasco happened. She didn’t want to just leave her herd. The hybrids and the originals let her know that they understood completely. Next thing she knew she was opening the door to let them in to indulge their protective nature.

Stefan was another story. They had been able to move them to their room after Hailey had passed out and the small family had been left to cuddle and just enjoy her presence and breathing until she could wake up. When she woke, Stefan had calmed down and was no longer running on instinct and the boys had taken the chance to start attempting to hold their heads up by themselves. She had unshed tears in her eyes as she drew them close to her, utterly relieved that she was able to save her boys and keep Stefan stable.

But she couldn’t help but chuckle at Stefan’s recent habit of following her around like a lost puppy. When cooking in the kitchen, he was seated at the granite island watching her until he decided he was too far and held her around the waist until she was done. When attending to the thestrals he would trail behind her and be holding her hand while she pet and primed them. The thestrals seemed amused by it. Even when just looking after Cedar and Caelan he can’t seem to help himself, it seemed Stefan needed a constant reminder that she was moving and breathing right in front of her. She didn’t know how to address the problem, she loved the physical presence of her husband but she was worried about his mental health. She knew that perhaps he needed a night to distract himself. Maybe a night out would do him some good, prove to him that they can still be out and about without worrying about her keeling over.

He’s hesitant about going out. At home he has his family and it was his safe place but he won’t lie it would be nice to go out, he’s beginning to go a little stir crazy. He just wants to keep Hailey safe, her whole life she’s had to look after herself and for others. He just wants her to know that he’s there and she’s his to take care of and look after. But one night out with just him and his wife won’t kill anybody…

He agreed and he was happy that he had said yes as his wife had smiled at him so sweetly. She didn’t want to start him off on something big like traveling out of town. She wanted to ease him into a safer mindset not full on catapult him, so she thought maybe something familiar would help. She advised a small night out, then said with a faint blush, “We could treat it like a date? I was never really with anybody before you and I was hoping to go on a real date like I used to see on the television?”, she rarely did it but when she was younger while sneaking out of her cupboard to swipe some food from the kitchen she would sometimes turn the tv on and put the volume all the way down to watch it. It was once the most thrilling did she did before getting into Hogwarts.

His heart melted at how excited she was for something so simple. “What kind of date do you have in mind?”, he smiled at how she perked up at his question.

“I’ve always wanted to go to the cinema! I was never allowed to growing up and there isn’t anything like it in the wizarding world! And maybe we could grab something to eat after, I always heard from my relatives at how ridiculous movie theater food prices were.”, his smile turned into a small frown when he heard this she wasn’t allowed to but her relatives had gone? He rarely ever hears her speaking of her relatives but there was never a kind story or fondness spoken of by Hailey. Before she noticed his frown he snapped his previous face back on. The Ripper in him wanted to personally meet with her relatives, he made a mental note to speak with Klaus about it.

“Sounds like a plan, movie then dinner shall I pick you up and bring you back by curfew to ensure your brothers we weren’t up to mischief?”, he said in a teasing tone to help ease his personal atmosphere. He didn’t expect for her to smack his arm lightly with a smirk on her face.

“What else kind of mischief could we possibly get into? Me lose my purity? I’m sure our boys prove otherwise, us getting hitched in Vegas? We’re already married!”, she said with laughter. It wasn’t long until he joined in as well. They assembled everyone into the drawing room and told them their plans on a night out. They protested at first until Hailey started to glare at everyone. Stefan squeezed her shoulder and stepped up.

“We know you just want to protect us but we’d like some alone time.”at the kicked puppy expressions on everyone’s faces he was quick to add in some comforting words. “How about if a few of you come along like a silent security detail? We still get a semi private time and you guys can look after us? But not all of you we still need babysitters for the boys!”, everyone agreed and started to draw straws at who can go and who could stay. He looked to Hailey who was just shaking her head fondly at the scene. It was set that four hybrids would come with them, with Tyler included. And two hybrids would be the main caregivers for the boys for the night. Main ones since it was impossible to say that any of the hybrids could resist coming up to play with the boys however short a time.

He was starting to get excited as he started getting ready, a date with his wife. He dressed in a pale blue polo shirt with his favorite black leather jacket over and wore a pair of dark denim pants. He was looking for his dark boots when his wife came into the closet as well to find a pair of shoes. He looked at her dress and admired how stunning she was. Hailey decided to wear the new dress Becca had gotten her, a black long sleeve clasi mesh insert square neck flare hem dress. She paired the dress with her now ever present family pendant and her recently found platform chunky high heels. She hasn’t worn heels since Bill’s wedding but it a special occasion might as well. She didn’t notice how her husband was admiring her when she bend down to get her shoes. She stood up and proceeded to her vanity to put her hair up, she decided to have her bangs on display and have the rest of her hair tied in a ponytail.

She smiled at Stefan when she noticed him coming up behind her in the mirror. He leaned down once she was finished and placed a kiss on her pulse point with his arms coming around her waist. She turned slightly to place a kiss on the corner of his mouth. He went in for a deeper kiss but was indignant when she placed her hand on his mouth. “Uh uh! We don’t want to be late now do we love?” He groaned exaggerating his dismay at not being able to have his wife’s lips. She smirked at him teasingly and went to get him his recently acquired pendant. She snapped it on his neck and tapped his nose. “In due time luv.” He smiled and extended his arm gentleman like. She linked her arm with him and they both walked down to meet with everyone. She hoped everyone would like the new movie she had chosen for them to watch. It was exciting from what she heard about it, though what a strange name, Fast and the Furious.

It was certainly exciting and Hailey was practically entranced. Since she was 11 she focused primarily on the wizarding world so seeing the movie was a culture shock. Stefan and her whispered during the film about how impressive the cars were. Stefan had enjoyed it as he got to see cool cars and snuggle with his wife in the dark. He also got to see how much of an adrenaline junkie his wife was at her smiling very hard in the race scenes. The hybrids wanted to give them some space so they split up into different corners of the theater where they had a clear view of the couple without interfering with them. Stefan’s only problem was that people kept staring at them or specifically his wife. He tensed up and it took Hailey giving him a kiss to calm him down. At seeing how uncomfortable Stefan was getting she glared at anyone who was watching them, Stefan relaxed as he felt the stares leave them. He smiled apologetically at Hailey but she just smiled and placed a kiss on his cheek for his troubles.

By the time the movie ended Stefan made eye contact with each of the hybrids and a swift head motion to show that they were about to leave. Hailey had the right idea of him not being ready to go to some faraway fancy restaurant and the Mystic Grill had good fries. He sent a quick text to Klaus and the others that they were fine and on the move. He got a lot of ‘be safe’ text from them in response, it brought a smile to his face. His overprotective family demanded a picture of them. He and Hailey posed in a typical teen fashion and sent it off. Hurrying to his car as his hearing had picked up her tummy rumbling. She was blushing since she knew he heard it.

*At the Mystic Grill*

It was a quiet night for once at the grill, Stefan was a little worried as he never had seen the grill this empty before. Hailey pointed out that it was a school night and Hermione had said it was also close to some sort of mid year test going on. So most of the usual occupants are home. He relaxed a bit at the explanation, he was glad the hybrids had came, it felt good to know that there was backup near. Hailey had chosen a booth to sit at, she was really going for a cliche date but he smiled at how cute she was trying to make it happen. A server came and took their order, Hailey immediately ordered some pie on the side of her burgers and fries and Stefan asked his burger be on the rare side. Stefan recently had taken an interest in what the wizarding world offered for creatures. He was originally mad at how his sons would be treated because of their lineage but he was glad that Hailey had people back home that were determined to make it fairer for them. After hearing that news he couldn’t help be curious about what was happening and he was insanely curious about the magical world in America. Hailey chatted about it excitedly, she hasn’t gotten a chance to really explore the magical world in America so she proposed maybe she could take him on a ‘magical’ date. The corny joke made them both laugh which slowly died down as there was a sudden bang coming from the entrance of the grill. Stefan saw the hybrids stand up quickly and soon he found out why. Damon was at the entrance of the grill and Stefan had never seen him looked so unhinged.

Okay so, I had a burst of inspiration. Think of it as a second trailer for Task force: Tricksters.

Trailer: “ What do you think Voodoo, think I can swipe it without having that guy notice.” , Roady said trying to get at least one of his ‘brothers’ to back him up.The boys were on their rooftop looking down at the busy crowd. It wasn’t theirs but it was a abandoned building so they called dibs. When Roady said his ‘name’ he looked over to the guy that his brother was determined to pit pocket. Ever since they left ... the bad place, they refused to go by the names they were given to them by the bad men. So they just named each other instead.

Voodoo’s name came from when they had watched the Princess and the frog movie that a family had left playing after they went to bed. The boys had a clear view to the movie from the window as the family had forgotten to close the curtains. Throughout the movie the boys kept asking their magic using brother if he could the same thing as the Shadow Man since then they jokingly started calling him that until it just became his actual name.

The family had a bad habit of leaving their curtains of their living room open. With a clear view to their tv, the boys would ‘visit’ the house to get more cultured and gain some information about the world they were in. Roady got his name the same way but with a old cartoon instead. At first it was a name his brothers gave him to mock him as it seemed that a roadrunner was faster than him as he could not yet reach a speed that could reconstruct an entire street. But it did encourage him to train harder to get faster, so he didn’t mind it after proving to his brothers that he could outrun a bird.

Spinner had gotten his name in a different manner but a much simpler way. With his webs being the only constant fabric that the boys had access to he used it as much as he could to help his brothers. So, he would be constantly found by one of his brothers spinning a new web so that the boys wouldn’t have to worry about sleeping on hard concrete at night or trying to make blankets to keep his brothers warm in the winter. After the boys had snuck into a library once to gather some information into what time and place they were in, they had decided to look around and see what else caught their interest. The web user brother had seen a book that had a frightening creature on it that had his former name on it. Out of morbid curiosity he opened it and took it to his brothers. They had learned that every time their brother had been using his webs that the correct term for it would be that he was spinning his webs. So that day he was named Spinner.

Puppy did not hate his name, he rather prefers it than his former name. The name he used to have made him sound like a cold heartless leader and he was anything but. His brothers had always seen him as the brother that preferred peace than to the violence that they would usually have to do. But it did not mean that he would not hesitate to rip out someone’s tongue if they had even dared to harm his brothers. One day when the weather was good, the boys were wondering around the city when they came to a unusual place filled with people and had an unusual amount of nature in it. The boys were hesitant but the strange area seemed to be filled with life and had lured them in. Almost immediately a whole herd that had been on a walk with their hired walker had ran up to the brothers. They seemed mostly interested in their canine-like brother. Distantly they had heard a small child say, “ Mommy, look! All the puppies like that boy! That’s not fair, I want the puppies to like me too!” When the mother looked up to see what her daughter was talking about she just saw a pack of dogs look confused as a man with a bunch of leashes in his hand come running up to the canines. About a few blocks away the boys were in a alley trying to be invisible. After that the brothers had started to show their affection to their brother by calling him ‘Puppy’ as they knew how he hated how his previous name made him sound like a predator.

Spooky had gotten his name in an unusual way. After recently escaping they had made a sort of base/home in a, what they thought, abandoned building. What the brothers didn’t know was that it was actually a building that a resident gang had recently decided it would be a good place for operation. The last thing that the gang had expected was to find a group of teenagers. The boys were still recovering from their last encounter of almost getting taken again so they did not look so good. To the gang the group of teenagers looked tired, hungry, and dirty. The gang had thought that the brothers were just some street kids looking for shelter. The gang had sympathy for the kids as they knew how hard it was to live in the streets. When one member went up to talk to them, one of the kids had suddenly said something that shocked them. “I’m sorry for your loss.” You see the specter brother had the ability to see the dead, so everyone that had died that had been close to the gang, he could see them. He said so himself, at first the gang had thought he was insane but then only said information had been disclosed between gang members and close allies. The gang had started to call him ‘spooky’ as a way to describe him but the brothers just picked it up as an actual name.

Mushu had given himself his name. He was the one that gave the bad men the hardest time when trying to make him forget because he was just so different. He remembered his past a bit more than his brothers. What he remembers is that his mother had loved to show him the movie ‘Mulan’, as a way to teach him to not underestimate girls and get him more interested into his family’s culture. He would constantly ask his mother that if he were to transform into his other form would he look like the cartoon dragon. Though he can’t remember her face, his mother would just smile at him and say “Perhaps... but you will definitely be a lot bigger and not be confused for a snake.” When he first transformed into his other form it was after he and his brothers were able to escape. The first thing that he and his brothers noticed about his form was about how red his scales were, much like the cartoon dragon. Once that happened he had deemed himself to be called Mushu as a way to try and remember his mother.

“ I don’t know, Roady.”, Voodoo said in order to try and steer his brother away from mischief.

“ That guy looks pretty high profiled, not to mention I’m getting a bad feeling about him.”, from the alarmed look coming from his eldest brother, Spinner quickly added, “ Not as ‘them’ but, as someone that just might be hard to go unnoticed by.”

This still made his brother weary but more calm. The man in question that had no clue that he was being conspired to be pit pocketed was none other than ... Oliver Queen, Star City’s very own vigilante.

Chapter 2 of

Immortal Dillemas

He almost didn’t notice her but when he stopped beside her, how can anyone not notice. Though he can’t find it in himself to care. But what had made him stop all of a sudden? What Stefan doesn’t realize that with his humanity off his inner vampire has more of an influence over him. Every instinct in him was screaming at him to slow down his car and when he did he noticed her. Odd, he thought with his humanity off his instincts would just discard the safety and livelihood of others. He hasn’t had his humanity on since he was ordered to turn it off by Klaus. Right now he had just finished tearing through some witches to gain information as per Klaus’s orders. He had some downtime before Klaus needed him back. From what he could see of her is that she is a very beautiful girl. She had long black luscious hair, pale fair skin, full lips, and the most beautiful emerald eyes he had ever seen. From what he could observe she’s perhaps 5’5 even, a half foot shorter than him. She couldn’t be more than a year younger than his physical age. Though he doesn’t care, he was still curious. What was a young British girl doing wandering a lone road in Oregon? He didn’t ask. There was something about her that made something turn in him. He’s had his emotions off for a while now, his brother and ex-girlfriend has been looking for him but he doesn’t need them to save him. All he wants to do is make sure Elena doesn’t kill herself in order for Klaus to make his hybrids. Klaus still needed deeds done and witches kept in line so he was able to leave the longing and judgmental stares behind for however brief a time. Tearing and draining some bodies did help him relieve stress,a ripper as his species liked to call him. Once she was seated in his car he headed towards town, Baker City. He was originally planning to drain her dry once she was in his car but something inside him made him stop. They drove in silence for about five minutes before he broke it.

“Soooo, any reason for why you crossed the pond to Oregon?”, he said trying to gauge anything really something in him was yearning to know this girl. He has never heard of something like this happening with his species. Hailey was shocked. She was able to apparate another country?!? She quickly hid her shocked expression from Stefan. While he was contemplating his behavior Hailey was trying to find an excuse but what’s better than the truth.

“ I just needed a chance to clear my head, and what better way than traveling and wandering?”, she wasn’t lying she just didn’t mention that she wasn’t exactly intending to travel to America.

“Something big happen to you and your family? I heard about those terrorist attacks and weird tornadoes happening over in the United Kingdom.”, he said in a curious tone. He was trying to gauge her reaction maybe she lost someone and decided to go across the world. She had a brief look of mourning before she said,

“ My parents died when I was a baby and I am not close to the relatives that raised me but I did lose someone to the attacks.”, she looks so sad, they were probably the reason for her traveling.

“ I’m sorry to hear that.” He said trying to convey human emotion without turning it on. But the look on her face told him that she expected his response. She must of heard it a lot. He should try to connect with her to open her up more. He still has no idea why his vampire was demanding information on this stunning girl… wait stunning? He shook his head and gave her a parody of his story, why he wanted to connect with her is still beyond him.

“When I was eleven my mom died and while she wasn’t the best mother she was still my mom. She would steal from and lie to my dad who in turn would immediately blame and punish me and my older brother. I don’t remember much from my childhood but I remember that my mom had stolen money from my dad. He thought my brother did it. He put out a lit cigar on my brother’s arm as punishment. One night my brother had told my dad that he was moving away with his girlfriend, and my dad just … he was so angry. He took his gun and started threatening my brother. I panicked and and wrestled the gun out of my dad’s hands. Next thing I knew was that my dad was dead and my brother hates me for putting in a situation that he has to live with and keep with him forever.”, he had to change the story a bit for why Damon hated him but it was the truth. Damon had hated him for so long because he forced Damon to become a vampire and for killing their father. What she said next would have genuinely surprised him if he had his humanity on. But he still let the emotion display on his face.

“ Your brother is stupid for holding this against you. From what I gathered you had to have been decently young when this happened. You were just a kid and acting on emotion, instead of protecting you and doing his job as an older brother he left it to you to be the protector. I’m sorry that you didn’t have family there to protect you and comfort you during that ordeal.”, while she was talking tears had started to leak through her eyes when she thought about the young boy having must been so terrified of having to protect his brother and hurting his father.

He… hadn’t thought about it like that. Back then he was already of age to have a wife and family, he was his own man. But she is right, he was only a kid when he was turned and transforming didn’t help with his emotions. With Damon it always felt like he was the older brother, he always had to be the one getting him out of messes and protecting him. It’s still like that to this day. He told he as much.

“I…never thought about it like that. Growing up it was more like I was the older one while he was the younger. Want to hear something kind of funny about us though?”, he was hoping he could break the somber mood they created, he doesn’t like seeing the tears on her face… he hardly knew her but she has such an affect on him.

“What? You two fight over girlfriends?”, she said with a slight chuckle at the end. A silence stretched through the car when she finished chuckling. She looked up with wide eyes, feeling a twinge of disappointment and jealousy surge through her when thinking of Stefan with a girl. She squashed that feeling down quickly, she hardly knows this boy. He finally answered.

“Not my doing I assure you. The girl Damon was going to run away with had some obsessive love for me that I didn’t return but she still tried to seduce me. Which added to my brother’s resentment towards me I’m sure. And my last girlfriend has started to develop feelings for him and he has had feelings for her since he met her.”, he tried pleading his case when he saw her expression. This girl has already made him show ten times more humanity than what his brother and ex had seen this past year. He felt himself settle when her expression cleared.

“Just…wow? I’m sorry that you have to deal with all that. I have never really had a relationship before so I don’t know what it feels like but I have a feeling that you deserve better than that.”, and she means it something in her was weeping for Stefan for being overlooked and poorly taken care of. She has never felt this way towards a boy before. She’s had crushes but she has never felt this strongly before.

Hearing her say that she has no experience with others made something purr inside him with satisfaction… he should really ask Klaus what the hell he’s experiencing. He needs a drink to clear his head but he also didn’t want to leaver her side yet.

“Well, I know I need to clear my head with everything you’ve given me to think about. But instead of traveling, how about you and me grab a drink? There’s a bar in town and the owner knows me pretty well that they don’t card me at the bar.”, he offered. She thought about it, while it may not be a smart idea to get a drink with a stranger and she’s underage, her and Stefan just shared their woes they could at least grab a drink together. She’ll trust him enough for tonight. She nodded her head and spoke her confirmation. Stefan shot an adorable grin at her that made her melt a little. Unknown to both of them Stefan had turned on some of him emotions to give her a genuine grin. Stefan pressed on the gas and made their way to the bar.

It was a weekend so it was pretty packed. Stefan made sure to hold Hailey’s hand to not lose her in the crowd. While Hailey was looking around and distracted by the loud music he used compulsion to order them drinks. He hadn’t been focusing on his hearing so it came as a shock when Hailey started gripping his hand and pressing herself against his arm.When he turned around to look at her, what he saw made him growl and snarl and nearly made him loose control of his vampire.

Hailey had a look of great discomfort and behind her was some guy who was leering at her as soon she and Stefan had walked in. He was making lewd gestures towards her and once her and Stefan made their way past him, he actually started following them towards the bar. She then felt a stinging on her butt and in her shock had started pressing herself closer to Stefan. When Stefan turned around to see what was wrong the leering man started speaking.

“ Damn! That ass feels just as good as it looks hun. How about you leave junior and I’ll show you what a real man can do.”, the man leers at Hailey and before Stefan could think about ripping his head off she spoke.

“ Oh please, as if you know anything about being a man if anything I’m pretty sure my friend here could show me all that a man has to offer.” She said with malice and not moving from her spot latched to Stefan. The man snarled and was about to speak when Stefan grabbed the front of his shirt and lifted him slightly and spoke with a growl.

“ Listen asshole, you are going to leave before I loose control and end up separating your head from your body if you keep messing with me and my girl.”, he hadn’t meant to said that last part but it felt right and it got the message across. It didn’t look like it bothered Hailey too much either, especially with how her heart was racing when he gripped his arm around her waist. The man looks terrified and like he’s about to wet himself. He took one step back when Stefan let go of his shirt and than he started gunning it towards the exit. They both laughed at the man’s expense and did a mock toast for the ordeal.

They spent the next few hours just drinking and talking. Getting to know each other through parody stories of their lives. For Stefan, unknown to him half of his humanity turned back on and he was falling in love, Hailey had brought out so many feelings. He felt awed by her and a lot of attraction to her. She was kind and understanding but still strong and put power behind her every word. For Hailey, unknown to her she was falling in love. Stefan had suffered so much and when he lashes out due to the pressure he’s met with scorn. He had to put up with all of that and he deserves to be a little brash and crazy sometimes. But just know with that creepy guy he’s shown her that he can still show compassion and protectiveness. She’s so used to being the protector that it felt nice to be protected for once. When they were slightly wobbling towards the car Hailey had a spurge of courage when Stefan went to open the door on her side. She felt very strongly for Stefan and when he opened her door she went up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. He stood frozen for a while and just as she was going to pull away he wrapped his arms around her waist. They had their foreheads pressed together and they were breathing the same air. Neither will remember who made a move first but soon they ended up sealing their lips together. For Stefan, he had never felt a kiss feel so electric and passion filled. For Hailey, she’s never been kissed before and was almost overwhelmed with the feeling. The kissed got more heated but they soon had to break it to breathe. Have it to mind that Stefan is forever in a seventeen year old body and Hailey in a sixteen year old body. They are in the physical pinnacle in which their hormones are… disorderly. That and the alcohol, smart decisions were not even close to either of their minds. Stefan did not want Hailey out of his arms anytime soon and he remembers that the bar is coincidentally only a short walk from a small hotel. He knew it was risky to ask but he had a feeling that the attraction was not one sided. He again did not notice that he had a gauge on his emotions. He looked into Hailey’s eyes and was reaffirmed in his decision.

“ There’s a hotel nearby, do you… maybe want to spend the night… with me.” he asked with some hesitation. He didn’t want to pressure her, he knew it would be her first time, he could smell the innocence on her and the lack of man that is not family.

Even though she was tipsy she still was sober enough to make a decision. She wanted to do it. After everything that she had gone through and recently learned she felt like if she didn’t do it now she may never be able to. She has never felt a connection of attraction and trust like she does with Stefan. Not to mention she knows at least that he isn’t using her for the title of having taken the “Girl Who Lived” virginity. She can’t say that she knows for certain that she’ll get this chance again.

“I would love to spend the night with you Stefan. I hope that you take care of me.”, she said as she leans her forehead back onto his, kiss his lips chastely, and watched as the tension in him go away slowly from her touch.

“Thank you. I promise to make this special for you and that you won’t regret it.”, for the rest of night while Stefan was with Hailey he had the whole of his humanity back on and the two took part in creating the Master of Death’s Heir.

You guys are probably going to think I’m a nut job but I sort of created a team based off that the character would get red eyes when transforming or when they are being controlled. With Harry we know that he got red eyes whenever Voldemort would take possession of him. With Barry when he was under the influence of the Rainbow Raider his eyes would turn red. Peter, I had once seen a fan art of him under the influence of venom and he had red eyes and then there is also Instant Kill Mode that I love to see on him. With Scott every time he goes wolf he has his red eyes shown, red eyes in his world signify the status of a alpha wolf. Danny had once been under control by Freakshow and during that he had red eyes instead of his normal blue or green. And Jake normally has his eyes black but for a split moment when he transforms he has flames in his eyes, so I just saw them as red instead. To be perfectly honest I had created this team because they are all characters I had a crush on while growing up.

Hydra had heard rumors that all over ,there are powerful forces that could even outdo what the super soldier serum could do. There were mentions of children having powers that make grown men keel over. A baby in London had made his house blowup when an intruder had entered. His parents were deceased but the baby only had a scar to show that he was harmed. It was said that only a pile of robes and ashes were left of the intruder. A boy barely out of elementary school had seen his parents get murdered and had suddenly entered a coma for a year. Rumors say that his body would vibrate suddenly and stop as soon as it happened. And when he woke up he was perfectly healthy. He had said that the person who killed his parents drugged him as all he saw that was attacking his parents where flashes of lightning. A boy who had just recently started elementary school had recently been displaying abnormal strength and unusual stickiness after visiting his parents (undercover) work place. The child was under Hydra’s radar especially as his parents had been SHIELD agents and recent targets. A boy who had recently started middle school had been displaying odd behaviors after he had told his parents he had been bitten by a big dog. His parents hadn’t believed him as he had no wounds on him, but afterward he had become extremely aggressive when upset and had strange reactions towards his senses. A rumor from another state that a baby boy had been would go missing constantly after his parents had found him in their latest invention. A scout that was sent out had reported seeing the boy’s eyes glow green when having a small tantrum. And finally, a source from China had reported that a family had been slaughtered in what seemed to be a gang war. But Hydra saw differently. The only survivor had been a toddler. The boy had said to the Chinese officials that his parents had taken a vacation to China to visit his mother’s family when the bad men came. His mother had hid him in a secret room in the closet and told him to only come out when he heard nothing. The young boy was sent to an orphanage but would display odd behavior. He would often growl when angry and roar when having a tantrum. The orphanage had reported that the young boy at the age of seven had blew fire out of his mouth.

It’a a work in progress but I just wanted to know if I should continue with this insane idea or just give it up and just have this task force doing their adventures in my head.

The ships I have in mind so far are Harry x Cedric, Oliver x Barry, Scott x Liam, Danny x Sam (Manson), and Jake x Rose. I’m not mentioning Peter because I am stuck on who to ship him with. As you can tell by my name I would normally ship him with Bucky but I can also see Peter happily in a relationship with Steve or MJ. So out of those three I don’t know who to ship him with in this story.

Chapter 5

Immortal Dilemmas

*Stefan Salvatore*

Stefan stood with his back towards Klaus shocked still. How did he know? But he was still stuck on the last part of what Klaus had said, ‘mated’. On an instinct he knew that he meant Hailey, it was why he was so determined to have her stay safe but it was the first time he was really acknowledging it. Klaus while more bearable than his brother was still an all powerful Original Hybrid. His vampire was recognizing that Klaus while an ally could easily turn into a threat to Hailey. But to his surprise Klaus had scoffed, as if Stefan had truly offended him. He turned towards the hybrid and he saw that there was a look of annoyance on his face.

“Honestly Stefan with how much we have gotten along I’m surprised of your hesitation. But then again…my past behaviors haven’t exactly shown it but I do enjoy having you around.”, did Klaus Mikaelson just say that in a sheepish tone? He and Stefan had gotten along fine with or without humanity involved. There was just always a conflict of interest. In the 20’s it was because of Mikael finding them and he couldn’t risk it but if it wasn’t for that Stefan would have stayed his best friend and brother. Recently it was being because of the doppelgänger but it was resolved with Stefan turning his humanity off. A vampire finding a mate was rare. It was considered sacred and it was one of the few rules that must be upheld in the community. Klaus being around for a long time had seen a total of five pairs of mates. Not everyone can pick up when a creature gets a mate, it takes a long time to notice signs. They all had the signs that Stefan showed. Change in scent and lasting claim marks. He’s had a thousand years to hone his senses to better detect it. Only when vampires reach five hundred years can they notice the bonds. He could still see a stiffness in Stefan, he figured now was a good time as any to finally let Stefan remember. He sped towards Stefan and held him in place by the shoulders.

“Stefan let me make this clear to you, I see you as a brother. And family means everything to me. You know this, but I think it’s time you remember it.”, Klaus had said his last sentence with his compulsion on. With it said everything came rushing back. Him and Klaus meeting because of Rebekah, the Original Sister. He remembered his brief romance with her. But more importantly he remembered that he and Klaus were like brothers.

When his flashback was over he looked to Klaus and rethought everything. From his memories he now knew that Klaus was more of a brother to him than Damon had been. Klaus had protected him, taught him, encouraged him, and acknowledged his talents. While Damon had always done the opposite. Damon left him unprotected and scared when he was turned, left him to learn his new powers by himself, put him down and made the same jokes about his character for centuries, and Damon was always jealous and angry when Stefan had something good in life. Damon was more of a threat than Klaus. Klaus was only perceived as a threat because in the past he was after Elena and was willing to paint the town red for it. Now though Stefan knew how desperate Klaus was to unlock his hybrid status. He had described it to Stefan as having a limb that he could always feel and move being tied behind his back. It was there but tied down for a thousand years. Anything like that would make anyone desperate.

He made a decision then and there, Klaus was a powerful ally and wanted Stefan to be his brother again and so did Stefan. Stefan needed and wanted Klaus to be on his side especially since Hailey is his mate, he’ll need help keeping her away and safe from the Scooby-Gang. They would not hesitate to use her to have Stefan obey them to take Klaus down.Klaus waited anxiously, watching Stefan.

“…Klaus, I want you to swear to me. Swear on your family that what I tell you about her, you won’t tell anyone. I am giving you the benefit of the doubt that you can still be my brother just…please…promise that you can help me keep her safe.”, he’s going to trust Klaus. The mere thought about Hailey being hurt, it was like he was human again and vulnerable to everything. His vision was getting blurry, he blinked and realized that he was close to letting tears fall. He was feeling again, Hailey always seemed to have that affect on him. Klaus was baffled, he knew that mating bonds were strong, but Stefan’s was able to make him feel while he was supposed to have his humanity off. As to Stefan’s request, he’ll help. Other than the fact that Stefan was like a brother to him, he didn’t ask for him to protect his mate he asked him to help. He squeezed Stefan’s shoulders to get his attention.

“Stefan, I Niklaus Mikaelson swear on my family name that I will help you keep your mate safe and protected.”, to Stefan it was as if a giant boulder was lifted up his shoulders. Klaus was planning to have Stefan turn back on his emotions but it seems he didn’t need to. Stefan’s humanity was back on due to the overwhelming amount of happiness and gratitude that he had.

“Now with that out of the way. Tell me all about this girl.”, Stefan had started to blush. Oh dear, his little brother was absolutely whipped over this girl.

“Her name is Hailey Potter. She’s from the UK. As you could guess we met on my way back from that coven, by the way they said there wasn’t anything in their magic that could help on changing the need for human doppelgänger blood. PS if anyone asks you sent me to Alabama to kill a coven that was getting out of line. Anyway she had gotten into a crash and was walking because she couldn’t call for help. I saw her on the side of the rode and I thought that as soon as she got into my car I would drain her dry but I just couldn’t.”, Stefan was a ripper so hearing that he was able to say no to blood was surprising. A bigger surprise was that Stefan’s mate was human. Out of the five pairs he had met, all of them were already turned. He stopped Stefan to confirm.

“Wait! Your mate is a human?”, Stefan just nodded his head not seeing the big deal. Deities Almighty, someone help these Salvatore’s.

“Stefan, since the beginning of vampires there has never before been a match between a vampire and human.”, though it could explain why Stefan’s mate bond feels differently than the others. With werewolf mates the bond feels wild and like instant love but contained with loyalty . Vampires mates bond feels mellow, patient love, and open. But Stefan’s feels extremely different, it feels like unconditional love tied with so many others, but the most obvious he could feel was the support. He can’t feel the complete bond without the other half not here, but it was still an impressively strong bond. He let Stefan continue.

“Well, I don’t know how it happened. I just know that hurting her felt wrong. We were in the car for a while before I decided to break the silence. I asked what she was doing in America. And the conversation just evolved from there. She had lost someone important to her due to all the crazy stuff that happened over there. I gave her my condolences but she looked like she was so used to hearing it, so I told her about my past in a human version. I don’t know why, but something in me wanted to connect with her. We did connect after sharing our woes, I needed a drink but I couldn’t stand the thought of leaving her so, I invited her along. There was this guy at the bar we were at…I almost killed him in front of everyone because he touched her.”, a little concerning but with Stefan’s past it’s not surprising. Vampires are known to be possessive not protective. Stefan, however, has had a past of violently losing the things he’s loved and his vampire recognizes that. Though if he was ready to kill in front of everyone,why didn’t he?

“Why didn’t you? At the time you didn’t exactly have the capability to care.”

“Because being with Hailey made me care. I didn’t want to scare her so I just threatened the guy…with decapitation.”, he added with a sheepish tone. Ah, again, the bond was strong enough to make Stefan care with his humanity off even before they were mated, intriguing. He let Stefan continue.

“I had to use compulsion so they wouldn’t card us but we started drinking together. When we were leaving Hailey…surprised me, she made the first move. As it turns out I was given her first kiss. And then we got a little carried away, and I ended up also…taking her virginity.”, Klaus had to struggle not to laugh at how red Stefan became. Most vampires do not wish to have a virgin human girl as bed partner, it could lead to them losing their control. He decided to tease Stefan a bit, it’s what brothers are for.

“Why Stefan you don’t mean that you two took part doing the devils dance?”, it was hilarious to see Stefan turn as red as a tomato. He couldn’t exactly do this back in the 20’s considering it was his sister that was with Stefan at the time. Thankfully, Rebekah has moved on to that human named Matt Donavan.

“So, how did she look?”, he said with curiosity and to his surprise, Stefan groaned. What happened?

“She is unfairly gorgeous. Everything she did was unintentionally seducing me. She had the most gorgeous black hair. Her eyes reminded me of emeralds. And her skin was fair and it was so soft to the touch.”, he should stop fantasizing about Hailey before he gets a…problem in front of Klaus. Klaus will once again think it, his brother was totally whipped.

“But that night when we were sleeping I had a nightmare, people kept showing up telling me I was going to ruin her, that if she stays with me it would be signing her death warrant. When I woke up she was still sleeping, I just couldn’t drag her into this but I still wanted to have something with her. I left her my ring and my phone number…also I need to get a ring.”, Stefan looked like a kicked puppy at the remembrance of having to leave Hailey. But he had made up his mind as long as Damon and the others have the drive to try and get rid of Klaus, she wouldn’t be safe with him. But if a day came that she wanted to come to him or him to her, he would at least know that Klaus has his back.

Chapter 10

Immortal Dilemmas

*Stefan Salvatore *

The last two and half months have been…eventful for Stefan. He made good on telling Rebekah his good news and it was met with mixed emotions. She had an infatuation with Matt Donavan but she was only woken up from being daggered a month prior. She was initially jealous and had lashed out a bit when she heard it. While attacking him her anger had became sorrow. All her life she had wished that she could find her one love and then she had heard about mating. A bond that meant to love the other through thick and thin, never to truly be away from one another. It was what she always wanted after learning about it and she had tried so hard to find it in multiple men over the last millennium. Her last attempt had been Stefan then she was daggered and put to sleep for over eighty years.

To hear that he moved on hurt, then everything else had happened and his humanity was turned off, she knew that side of his very well but he was always by her brother never giving her a chance to rekindle what they had. She went out one night to get her mind off everything and flirt with her newest crush, Matt. When she came back to the mansion she was met with a Stefan with his humanity intact and she noticed something different about him. Once she realized what it was she reacted violently, she threw him across the room. They could hear Klaus laughing in the background and after a an hour of Stefan being treated like a rag doll had the males noticed that she had tears on her face, and a sad smile.

“I suppose I wasn’t it for you, was I Stefan? What I had been trying to have for over a thousand years you were able to achieve. I’m happy for you but…I wish for more than anything to just have someone to share the rest of my immortality with!”, she had gone to the ground crying and Klaus had sped towards her and started comforting her. He had always picked fun of her for her failed romances but he knew that in this wasn’t a good time to do so, his sister is too vulnerable to make a joke. Klaus was right about her being jealous but it was more towards him experiencing and having the bond. Since then they became close but it was more of a brother and sister bond. She teases him over being head over heels for Hailey when he had tried to explain more in depth what the bond felt like. In all honesty, Rebekah was grateful to Stefan for sharing something so intimate with her. With that problem dealt with now all he had to worry about is his brother and the rest of the gang. They have become very suspicious and even more into his business once summer had started. They had seen Stefan looking friendly with the Original brother and sister and they didn’t like it one bit. Elena in particular didn’t like Rebekah being so chummy with Stefan. Damon didn’t like that Elena was still hanging off his brother while he was trying to get her to notice him more.

The gang was convinced that Klaus was still oblivious to Elena being human and they still thought that Stefan would never tell him as some part of him “will always protect Elena”. They were in quite a shock when Stefan had decided to finally get Klaus what he always wanted, doppelgänger blood. Stefan figures if he does this it will finally put it in Elena and Damon’s head that he wasn’t a damsel in distress and that it would help with Hailey in the long run. Stefan came up with the idea of forcing Elena’s hand, they needed a way to force Elena to be in debt to them and accept terms. The only way to do that: put her friends in danger. He had heard about senior prank night and decided that it would be a perfect setting. The gang would be in one place and with a certain teen werewolf, who would happen to die if the plan doesn’t go accordingly. Kidnap Tyler and Elena separately, give him Klaus’s blood, snap his neck, and tell Elena exactly what she would need to do in order for him to survive but she would need to agree to follow the terms that Klaus lays down. From seeing that her blood holds the key to all of Klaus’s dreams he is willing to make a deal, similar to what his older brother had once offered. He would let Elena live a full human life and not harm anyone important to her as long as every week he receives two pints of her blood for the rest of her life.

The plan was put to action and all went accordingly. What was better for them is that Klaus has taught him some mild control for human blood and unlocked a lot of memories. He had taught Stefan how to fight and come out on top when dealing with older vampires. He was a lot stronger now and could handle a vampire that was Katherine’s age easily. The plan went a lot smoother because of it and of course having Rebekah’s help. Klaus had posed as an adult catching them in the act, told everyone else to leave to prevent too many causalities. He knew that the gang would stay behind so he promptly put the humans of the gang to sleep with some sedatives he snagged from the hospital. Rebekah handled the vampires of the group by breaking their necks, which should give them a good hour to get things done. They had already gave Tyler Klaus’s blood and snapped his neck, Stefan had carried him in the school and ignoring Elena’s badgering and disappointed gazes…that still has that infuriating longing in them.

At that point he just wanted to shout out loud to the entire town that only one woman had his heart for the rest of eternity just for Elena to stop, but he needed to keep his ‘no humanity’ face on. He and Rebekah knew Elena would be infuriating to convince but at least she wasn’t stupid…unlike his brother. He could hear Klaus proposing the deal after Tyler had come back a hybrid and had his neck snapped once again just to have him out of commission, from outside the school from the roof. He and Rebekah were there just to keep an eye out for Damon and Alaric. She heard them before he could and gestured for Stefan to get ready, he already told Rebekah about Damon having a habit of very badly influencing Elena to do the dumbest things. It was better to catch them by surprise, quietly, and quickly. They jumped down and quickly snapped Damon’s neck and Stefan made sure that he saw Alaric wearing the Gilbert ring and snapped his neck as well. There wasn’t anymore possible outside interference so they both waited quietly outside and shared a smirk when they heard Elena very grudgingly and hesitantly agreeing to the deal. Klaus opened the doors in a flourish with a triumphant smirk, he turned around to face Elena with a still unconscious Tyler in the room when Stefan and Rebekah flanked him on both sides.

“Pleasure doing business with you, luv! We’re just going to head on out and don’t fret just keep up your end and you won’t have to worry about me delivering a horrible ending to your loved ones! Have a great night Ms.Gilbert!”, the trio walked away. Stefan could feel Elena just staring at him, but he refuses to look back. Looking back in her eyes would just give her hope that he could come back, but he’s never going back to her no matter how much she pines and begs for him to. He’s moved on from emotional manipulating doppelgängers to a beautiful emerald eye war goddess. He could hear Elena sniffles but he’ll leave it to his brother to comfort her, he just hopes that Damon won’t try something that’ll ruin the deal. The deal was that Klaus can’t hurt anyone Elena loves, it never mentions him or Rebekah. If Damon tries to cross Klaus, brother or not Stefan will make sure Damon is dealt with. He’ll do anything to ensure Hailey can have a safe future with him and Damon screwing up the deal messes with that plan, so Stefan will feel no remorse in…removing the threat to his bonded. The thought alone of his brother ruining is enough to boil his blood. After that Klaus took a box of Elena’s blood and sent off to find a pack that one of his witches notified him of. He came back with about 20 hybrids, all having a sire bond to Klaus similar to Tyler.

Originals and annoying drama aside, he was in a constant state of yearning. Klaus had looked into searching for Hailey but came up with nothing after a while. The only record of her lasted until she was eleven and then it was like she went off the grid. When he wasn’t preoccupied all Stefan could think about was her. Was she okay, was she safe, was she mad at him, and what is the deal with her records just stopping? He made so many scenarios in his head that Klaus had to tell him to calm down and grab a drink. Elena and Damon while trying to interrogate him assumed that he was just ignoring them, left in a huff. When he slept he often had dreams of her and his brain was coming up with such a strange story. In his dream he is often with her at the boarding house just snuggled on the couch when he moves his arm around her waist and feels that her stomach was bigger than what he remembered. His dream self is calm and looks to Hailey and she smiles and puts his hand on a particular spot and he feels a little thump against his hand.

Then he wakes up confused and sad, he doesn’t understand why he’s having that dream and he’s sad because he’ll never be able to give that to her. But his dreams don’t stop, he’s either feeling for a kick, listening for a heartbeat, talking to her stomach and laying kisses on it, or he’s just there with his arm around her with his hand resting on her baby bump. Then one day in his dream she no longer has a baby bump and they’re just on the couch, he’s so used to seeing her with one that he wants to ask so badly what had happened. Then he hears something that leaves him with a strange feeling, a baby crying. Hailey stands up, heading towards the direction of the cry and he’s about to follow her when he wakes up. What does it mean, why did he have a dream for so long about her being pregnant than for her to have had the baby? What was his subconscious trying to tell him?

He doesn’t know, the only thing he does know is that he’s worried out of his mind over not knowing where Hailey is and what she could be doing. He asked Klaus if the mating bond makes her miss him just as much as he misses her and Klaus responded that he didn’t know as Hailey was human. Everything about their bond is unheard of and new, Klaus doesn’t know how different the bond could be. It worries Stefan but it doesn’t wane his want to find her, it wasn’t enough for his vampire anymore after his last dream. His vampire demanded their mate back and no amount of being told her being safer away could quiet it. He was getting angrier and more anxious everyday that he goes without seeing her, Klaus send him out as he was afraid Stefan would rip off a few of his hybrid’s heads. He didn’t want to deal with his brother so he’s been in the Mikaelson mansion, he finds it strange that the closer he was getting to town the more his anger was waning. Then he felt a pull, his vampire took over and he was left viewing everything as if it was a dream. The pull lead him to town square and it was then he finally snapped out of his daze.

He looked ahead and he had to wonder if he was dreaming again. Under a tree, sitting on a bench was Hailey Potter. She wasn’t alone as she had two babies in a baby wrap carrier on her chest. Two babies…that scents make Stefan dumbfounded, they had Hailey’s scent to prove them as her offspring! Stefan didn’t know how to feel as a whirlwind of emotions slammed into him. How was this happening, it shouldn’t be possible?! Stefan knows for a fact that he was her first, her scent when the first met was completely pure! He could catch her scent from where he was, what he smelled from her elated him but just made him more confused. She smelled as she did before: floral fragrances with roses being the main scent…but he could also smell himself on her.

The babies she’s holding could be a day old from how fresh they smelled. The babies were her’s, scents don’t lie. But it didn’t make sense! He had been her first, it’s been only two and a half months since he seen her, and he definitely would have noticed if she was pregnant when they were together! A small part of his brain had made itself known when he thought of the possibility of them being his. It couldn’t be possible…could it? Vampires have been having sex with humans for generations and there has never been a case of a vampire procreating! But then again…Klaus did say that there has never been a case of a human-vampire mating bond, what exactly can he consider possible for them? He needed answers and his vampire was tired of waiting to have contact with their mate. He was about to move towards her when he saw something that made his stomach wrench in fury. Why the hell was his brother going towards Hailey?!

So ,just an idea, how about a new fan fiction?

I’m thinking the avengers are on a mission against Hydra who has started to dig into the realm of invading multiple universes. And as usual once the avengers think they have everything solved and have everyone already incapacitated, there’s that one stubborn agent who wants to hit the self destruct button (but accidentally just hit the on button). And so there’s a big blast and when everyone wakes up their in a different universe. A universe in which mutants are separated from normal humans. They are treated like second class citizens and like criminals. If you guys have ever heard of the Jim Crow laws, think of it like that. Mutants were given only the worst of everything and humans wanted them to not rise up to power. If a baby is born with the mutant gene they are disowned, even if it’s a dormant gene, and are sent off to the mutant section of the city. The mutants/mutates are given a small section of a city to reside in, the section is usually only made up of old broken down buildings. When babies arrive there are usually adults waiting to come and get them. The mutants have a system that in order to live they needed to rely on their powers, so as soon as someone starts to develop them they get sorted into what they could do to help their fellow mutants.

In this universe, Universe XY, the Avengers where comprised of humans that had technology that made them on par with a mutant. Instead of being a team for all of humanity, they were a team that was made to keep mutants in line. This universe’s Avengers only had Iron Man, Hawkeye, War Machine, Black Widow, Ant Man, and Wasp. So,when what looked like to be the Avengers landing in mutant territory, the mutants ran away and went into hiding which confused our normal Avengers a lot (Captain America, Iron Man, White Wolf, Black Widow, Dr.Hulk, Hawkeye, and intern Spider-Man). When Tony had tried to ask a kid, barely 11 years old, that was too scared to move where they were, he almost got his eyebrows scorched off. The kid he was talking to had a fight or flight response when , what could be considered to mutants, the Iron Terror started walking up to him. He was about to yell at the kid to be careful with his powers when suddenly a women had swooped in and stood in front of the kid with tears in her eyes.

She was bawling out, “Please have mercy, he’s only a child. He doesn’t know how to control it yet, if you have to punish someone punish me. I am responsible for him.”

And then like it just hits the Avengers like a tidal wave, these people were afraid of them. The mutants in hiding slowly come out and say the same thing as the women. Until suddenly, a group of people walk up to them, a very familiar group of people. The group had Steve Rogers, James Barnes, James Howlett, Victor Creed, Ororo Munroe, and  Anna Marie LeBeau.

I’m thinking of there being a huge misunderstanding, but eventually the Avengers explain that they were not the Avengers of Universe XY. The group of mutants were only convinced whenever Bucky and Steve had taken of their cowl and mask. So the mutants while still hesitant showed the Avengers to their home. And there the Avengers find a Peter Parker, one that has some exciting news to tell his friends and husband of two years. Peter Parker of Universe XY, 20 years old, husband of Steve Rogers, was ..... pregnant. In this universe a mutant man is fully capable of bearing children.

And of course as usual I have no clue how to proceed. I get frustrated at myself for coming up with an interesting beginning of a story but have no clue as to how to end it.

Chapter 7

Immortal Dilemmas

*Stefan Salvatore*

“Well, first thing we need to do is-“, Stefan wanted to listen to what Klaus was saying but his thoughts were running wild. He just had an epiphany with the hybrid, he trusted Klaus enough to tell him about Hailey, and Klaus had just sworn on his FAMILY name that he would help Stefan. Family is everything to the Originals, the fact that Klaus was swearing on his name made it bluntly obvious that he truly does see Stefan as family. The only thing Klaus ever wanted was to not be alone, to for once not be left out for something he couldn’t control. He had to tell him about Elena, Klaus may react violently but he deserves to know that the answer to his dreams was still alive with human blood coursing through her veins. Klaus swore to protect Hailey, the girl that Stefan loved to the ends of earth and would gladly go through hell for, despite only being able to spend a night with her, he knew that she was his and he was hers. This is the least that he could do for Klaus. Good or bad reaction it’s going to end in one of his brothers, biological or not, throwing a hissy fit.

“-and we’ll likely need to find your mate to make sure she’s guarded but I don’t think normal vampires are going to cut-“, at the mention of needing something stronger than an average vampire Stefan gathered it was better to say it now.

“About that…Klaus there is something I need to tell you…”, he tried finding the proper wording but how can he put it gently that Elena’s real father had decided to exchange his life for hers and as consequence she is still alive and human, capable to be of use to Klaus?

“SHE’S WHAT?!??”, Klaus had said suddenly. Did he just say that out loud?

“Yes! Stefan, you did!”, he gulped as his throat had suddenly ran dry but he refused to look away from Klaus’s eyes. What felt like a thousand years to Stefan ,in reality was only thirty seconds, Klaus’s thunderous and gobsmacked expression quickly melted into a devilish grin. Stefan knew that look and it did not bode well. Klaus’s siblings feared it as it was a sign that he was going to cause chaos and embarrassment for whoever wronged him.

“Klaus I’m sorry, I really am but at the time-“, Stefan was caught off by Klaus’s delightful yet bone chilling laugh. Oh deities above, Stefan was in for it!

“Oh Stefan my sweet baby brother, I’m not angry, I’m just…disappointed”, Klaus said in a faux parental stern tone and trailed off with a sigh. Klaus had officially entered his brooding (pouting) mood, in which at every conversation he is going to have he is likely to rant. And in those rants he will reveal an embarrassing event that Stefan had done or an embarrassing fact about Stefan. Stefan winced, there was only one way to get Klaus out of that mood and it was to do whatever Klaus needed to be done but doesn’t want to do himself. He had to do whatever it is, he needed to uphold his reputation as the Original Hybrid right hand ripper. People aren’t going to take him seriously about him and Klaus being as close as family if whatever dirt Klaus has on him gets out. He’s a forever seventeen year old, he’s done a lot of stupid stuff…especially in the 20’s with Klaus’s influence.

“Klaus…please. You name it and I’ll get it done, just please!”, Stefan begged with his puppy eyes, Klaus figured the task he was going to assign Stefan shouldn’t be too terrible but it will definitely teach him a lesson to not withhold important information from family.

“Alright Stefan, I’ll forgive and forget as long…as your the one to tell my sister about recent developments as soon as she comes home!”, while Rebekah was infatuated with a human named Matt Donavan currently, she also has had a tendency to not let go of the past and be very jealous. Stefan who had recently gained his memories knew this and groaned. He knew it was going to be hard but hopefully after telling Rebekah, Klaus will have pity and restrain her until she can calm down…somewhat. He nodded solemnly and looked like a kicked puppy.

“Now while you figure out what to say, I’ll contact one of my witches and get you a new ring. Rebekah is likely to stay out until tomorrow and by then you’ll definitely need that ring.”,Klaus said with a chuckle. Stefan let out his own sarcastic laugh and quickly sped to Klaus’s liquor cabinet to pour himself something strong.

“Just think of Hailey.”, he muttered to himself. Hailey was the only thing he could think of that could possibly make him happy in this situation. No doubt as soon as he said it his thoughts were flooded with her emerald green eyes and her midnight black hair. Memories of their time together ,whether talking or being intimate, flashed across his mind. An instant goofy smile came to him. Off to the side Klaus had heard Stefan and witnessed his mood changed. He sighed with an exasperated grin, the strong bond between his brother and that girl was stronger than anything he has sensed. If something happens to her and Stefan senses it, then there would be a strong possibility of seeing a feral ripper. Absolutely nothing short of death would be able to stop the carnage until the origin of what caused Hailey pain was destroyed. Hopefully, he can help in keeping her safe enough that Stefan doesn’t loose his mind and that Stefan and her could remain happy together.
