The day you noticed Lucifer was using his wings to court you.

You were always fond of birds, and you dedicated much of your life to helping preserve endangered species. You studied them, spent countless hours learning about the hundreds of species, a lot of diets and their behaviors.

This didn’t seem to stop once you found yourself in Hell; in fact, once you discovered there were a bunch of sinners with bird-like features, you just seemed content to be there.

When you arrived at the Hazbin hotel, you claimed one of the spare rooms as your personal studio, and after what you have called "the toughest battle in your life," you convinced Alastor to let you have a camera "as long as you never get that frivolous technology box near me."

Husk had to ask you not so politely to stop when you first met. Before you could even take his hand, you had started to ask questions about their wings; sometimes you even wrote on an oh-so-worn notebook of yours; it became a common topic of discussion between the two of you. When you forget he has work to do and start to take multiple pictures of his wings and even try to take one of his wings when he is not looking, Angel starts to think that your bartender friend is about to lose it, and you will end with a scratch or two.

Besides that, one could say that your presence in the hotel was appreciated; you could be found watching some funny shows on TV with Angel and never saying no to Vaggie when she asked for a favor. Soon, you started to feel part of the hotel, and the rest of the staff agreed with that.

Lucifer was nothing like any man you had met in life or hell; he was, to put it simply, an awkward guy, always so silly yet so elegant. He had managed to get you longing for his presence more often than you would like to admit.

You are not sure how you and Lucifer became friends, but having a shared interest in ducks seemed to help. You gave him all kinds of facts about them, and he would step by your room every so often to show you the new rubber duck he was working on. Not that you're complaining, but one of his ducks set your courtains on fire on an occasion.

Charlie says that she is proud of his "social advances,” as she used to call your interactions. Seeing him out of his office more often and having an actual conversation with someone seems to make the princess happy and less worried about her father, and if that someone turns out to be you, it is so much better!

The first time you noticed this weird behavior of his was the day you two met. You couldn’t help but mention, after his bickering with Alastor over who was Charlie’s father figure, that you found his wings precious. Lucifer, being the prideful man he is, wasted no time on extending his wings only for your delight, a smirk on his face as he saw your eyes wide admiring that part of him; they were so magnificent, you could swear they were shining in the light of the room, and you'd die to see if the feathers were as soft as they seemed.

Just a simple touch, please.

Before returning his wings to their place, there was a flutter of his wings, so slow that there was no way someone could notice.

But you weren't just someone; you knew it. What a coincidence! You could recap an article about some birds courtship.

The second time you saw it, you were in your room minding your own business. He came to you with a smile, but your eyes were looking past him, his wings on full display as he greeted you. There, his wings started flutter again, now lasting more than the last time. Now there is no way it was just a coincidence. “My eyes are up here, darling,” he said, that smirk on his face turning into a pout as you were not paying him enough attention. You just shake your head, focus on the man before you, returning your full attention to him, and the pout on his lips dissapears immediately as your eyes are on him.

You are getting crazy; every time you get a glimpse of him, you find his wings moving in an oh-so-familiar way that you could swear it was a courtship dance, every time bolder than before.

That is when you decided to confront him, getting just a chuckle from him. It made you think maybe it was just your imagination, and you finally lost your mind.

While sitting on the hotel balcony, Lucifer was telling you one of his ideas for this new rubber duck. He said it would be the best one he would work on so far, even though you doubted that. Then you stopped listening, your eyes fixated on his wings. Every time he looked at you, they would flutter not so subtly, distracting you from everything around you. Your head rested on your palm, almost feeling bad for not listening to his rambling.

"Luci, you're courting me." It was supposed to be a question, but by the way the king of hell stopped his rambling and, looking at you with wide eyes, you found that maybe it was not.

"And what would make you think that?" He said mocking you, he also rested his head in one of their hands.

"Your wings, the way you move them," you pointed to his wings; they stopped his movements when you mentioned it; he just chuckled, then started to laugh. Was he laughing at you? It made you want to hide yourself from him; was it your imagination? No way.

"So you finally notice," he then said. Once his laugh was gone, he adjusted himself on his seat. Now, with both of his hands holding his face and looking at you with a smirk, his wings started to flutter once more. "I thought it would take you less time, may I be honest"

"Actually, I noticed it long ago; I thought it was just my—" You felt the air leaving your lungs once he got on his feet and moved closer to you. "...Just my imagination." You were not strange to his proximity, but this time he just looked so imponent, wings on full display and fluttering around. Now it was definitely a courtship dance, and you were on the receiving end.

"Now, what do you think?" He hovered over you who still sitting, a hand resting on the back of your seat, taking one of your hands on his and kissing your knuckles. The kiss lasted longer than you thought was the average time for one, and even then he didn’t let go of your hand. "Was my dance enough to impress you, darling?" Now, looking into his eyes, you could only see adoration, awaiting your response.

You couldn't speak; you can't imagine the king of hell pulling up something like this for you.

"My dear, please talk to me," he pleaded, a sigh leaving his lips as he hid his face in the crook of your neck. You could feel his warm breath in your skin, burning like hellfire.

"It was," you said, Lucifer now turning his face to look at you. You took his face in your hands and moved him closer, he gave you an inquisitive look but with no intention to move from your touch. "I should have mentioned it earlier; it was quite impressive." You smiled, and he did the same.

Now, how long you two kissed, you also don't remember; what you remember, however, is how he held you against him as if you were just about to disappear right then, and that when you finally got to touch his wings, you were proved wrong.

His feathers were much softer than you have imagined.

This idea came to me yesterday when my dad showed me a reel of a lady bird who epically ignored the male who was dancing to her, I felt so bad and immediately thought about Lucifer.

Being the wife of Goku is a daunting task

Cooking for him, cleaning up after him, and not to mention his libido makes him a hard man to keep up with

As a result, you take naps

You tend to frequent at least two a day, sometimes more if you don't have much on your to-do list

Your usual morning routine is typically to make breakfast, tidy up the house, take a shower, and then have a small nap, normally about an hour long

Goku's normally training during the day, so when you get in bed, you're by yourself

But when you start to come to again, the bed is dipped beside you and there's a solid mass slung over you, usually accompanied by snoring

You smile with a soft chuckle, a little yawn escaping your lips while you snuggle in further

He's got to have some kind of nap radar, because Goku is always here for naps

Goku likes tucking his face into your neck, in love with how you smell and finding comfort in it when he needs a little extra help falling asleep

He also presses small kisses to the skin there while he's falling asleep

You're thankfully only partially crushed by his thick, muscled body, as he keeps most of himself on the mattress instead of you since the last time he didn't mind his weight, he got an earful and didn't get to finish his nap

His arm is tightly around you, giving you very little wiggle room. Even when you fall asleep side-by-side, you always wake up in this position

A very low, quiet hum escapes you while you close your eyes and comb through his pitch black hair, occasionally scritching at his scalp with your nails

Goku nuzzles his face further into your neck, his lips brushing a soft kiss against you

Another yawn passes your lips and you squeeze him just a bit

"Mmm... Issit time to get up?" He mumbles every single time he wakes up beside you. He'd be content sleeping all day, if you'd let him

"Hmmm... Not just yet."

"Mkay... Good." He'll pull you just a bit closer to him, moving his head and nuzzling your sleep-warm cheek

"Soft... Warm..." He'll mumble rather adorably, his eyes still closed and voice cloaked with sleepiness

"Mhm." You hold back yet another yawn and lean your head against his, sleep slowly claiming you both again

You only tend to get another thirty minutes of naptime, though, before Goku's poking at your cheek to wake you

"Mmm... Hnn... Hm?" You blink away the blurriness, slowly realizing the wide-eyed, innocent look on your husband's face

"Can we have lunch now? I'm starving!"

At least you still have the 3pm nap

Bonus Headcanons: Napping with Baby!Gohan and Goku

When Gohan is born, the naptime routine is completely shot

The baby is up frequently for nursings, so you're always on alert for him to wake up, and lose out on precious cuddles with Goku, alongside those much-needed winks of sleep

Goku is not meant to be a housewife, as his attempt at sharing the household chores proves. Though you do appreciate his sentiment, and tend to saddle him with the baby so the dishes can be done without something breaking

Sometimes, though, Gohan's naps line up with yours, meaning you can actually do as everyone says to and sleep when the baby sleeps

You'll be nursing him in his rocking chair when he falls asleep, and you've got zero time to fawn over how damn cute your son is when he's asleep

You hurry to the bedroom, careful with Gohan as you climb into bed

Goku strips down to his undies and basically flies under the covers with you, taking little Gohan and laying him on his broad chest, the little bean snuggling in comfortably in his father's warm embrace

You lay on your side and curl into his muscled body, linking your fingers with his hand on Gohan's back, the both of you protecting your precious son from potentially rolling off of Goku's chest

Goku will drop a kiss on your forehead and then one on Gohan's before settling into the pillow

You all sleep for a few good hours, smiles on your faces when it's time to get up again

Goku will look down at you with that sleepy smile, blinking slowly with a noise of surprise when you kiss him full on the lips

Napping is his favorite thing to do with you

You were standing in the subway station after Five had blinked himself and you away from the family- or what was left of it, watching him at loss of words. You didn’t even have time to gather all your thoughts since there was yet another impending apocalypse on its way, so your mind was completely all over the place.

Five Hargreeves was not the same Five Hargreeves you fell in love with all those years ago. He was not the same man who had stolen your heart and made you feel like you were the most precious person in the world. He wasn’t your partner anymore, he wasn’t your lover. Your boyfriend wasn’t there. You looked at this person and there was a stranger, acting as if he was the same who had hugged you, held your hand, kissed you all those many times. You were questioning everything about him now.

“Take me back!” You yelled again, ignoring his same pleas, curling your hand in a fist, “I’m this fucking close to making you ash!”

Your six year relationship that was so merry a few hours ago. Now it was crumbled, trashed.

What hurt was that it was six years only to you. Five managed to block himself seven years away from you, only in the presence of Lila.

“This is so fucking stupid,” You scoffed, fighting back the tears in your eyes, “It’s fucking over! Do you want me to spell it out for you?!”

“I want you to listen!” Five didn’t give up on arguing, “I thought I’d never see you again!”

“You didn’t want to see me again!” You screamed, wailing your hands in the air, “Fucking save it- It’s over! I don’t want to ever see you again if we survive this apocalypse! You ruined our relationship, you ruined your brother’s marriage, family! For fucking Lila!”

You hated him absolutely. The mere thought of his infidelity, of the nerve to act as if he still loved you, it was all despicable.

You grew to love all of your boyfriend’s siblings, and also your nieces and nephews, even if you and Five were not yet married. You planned to be a part of the family officially, but still wanted to focus on your careers, you wanted to adjust yourself to your old life, back to your origins.

“Y/N, please!” He tried to step, towards you, but you started stepping away.

Thoughtlessly, because of all your anger, you just walked towards the first train approaching you, fully intending to be away from him at whatever cost.

“If you don’t want to take me back, I’ll fucking find my own way!” You hopped onto the train, watching as he tried to catch up with you.

But he was too late.

In hindsight, maybe it was not the smartest idea, but you were just so devastated nothing made sense to you anymore. You spent the past six years thinking that you are set for the rest of your life, now that the world wasn’t ending anymore. You reconnected with your family, you built a career for yourself and were living happily with Five, you had literally just finished settling yourself in the new house you bought together. You couldn’t understand how he could do this to you.

You couldn’t understand how Lila could betray your friendship either, especially Diego and their kids.

You tried to make it make sense, be reasonable- it was only a few hours to you, but they were lost in this subway system for seven years.

But then again, Five was lost in the future 45 years by himself and he didn’t give up on trying to return to his family once.

Now he did, he gave up on trying to return to you.

That’s definitely another aspect that stung.

“Fucking piece of shit,” You mumbled, as the train approached its first station, “How do I fucking get out of here?”

You stumbled out of the sub, taking in your surroundings. It was yet another crumbled down station, but if you were to be at least a tiny bit fair, it was maybe a bit better kept. You looked around curiously, trying to figure out where to go from now on. Your fire-based superpowers were totally useless in this situation, so you hated to admit that you were in a bit of a pickle.

You rolled your eyes, as Five rounded the corner and stopped in his tracks, watching you with widened eyes.

“You again?” You sighed angrily, “Take me back or get out of my sight, Five.”

Five raised his brows, putting his hands in his pockets curiously. He didn’t say a word yet, as a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips. He slowly stepped towards you, not taking his eyes off you once. For a split second, you stopped as well, sending that something was up.

You took in his features, trying to make sense of what was going on, realizing that he didn’t have a coat on him. He was wearing the exact three piece suit an black tie, he was wearing the same silver watch on his left hand, but he didn’t have his coat on.

“Y/N,” He smiled, stopping in front of you, “I never thought I’d see you again, more so here.”

“What the fuck is going on?” You calmly asked, over-analyzing the man before you.

His smile didn’t drop. It was a genuine one, a smile you hadn’t seen in a while. Things between you and Five were okay a few hours ago, but he hadn’t watched you with this look since you first met. His eyes were sincere, taking in every single feature of yours, traveling all over your body.

“I take it your Five danced the devil’s tango with Lila,” He sighed deeply, raising a hand to gently brush away your tears.

When did you even start crying?

Your mind was scrambled all over the place, but at that exact moment you couldn’t say another word. You just melted into his touch, feeling warmth. It really hadn’t been that long since Five touched you, but this touch felt different. His hand rested on your cheek, as his thumb caressed you lightly. His touch was so intoxicatingly sweet, sending shivers down your spine.

“I’m so sorry I’m a literal shitface in some other timelines,” He lightly shook his head, “I’m so sorry.”

“What is going on?” You asked once again, calmer this time.

For whatever reason, you relaxed in an instant. You couldn’t tell if it was because of his gentle touch or simply his presence. Ironic, since just ten minutes ago you were ready to set him on fire.

“Come with me, my love,” Five said, grabbing your hand in his, “I’ll explain everything.”

You didn’t fight his touch, locking your fingers with his. None of you said a word, as you watched you hands fit so perfectly in one another. How could your relationship be over when you were so good together?

You followed Five through the subway station, rounding the same corner he appeared from. You watched as he turned his head to give you a reassuring smile, lightly squeezing your hand in comfort.

After a few more steps and going down a couple of stairs, you widened your eyes seeing a literal deli tucked away in this godforsaken out of order subway system. The headlights above the front entrance were lit up, writing Max’s Delicatessen. You saw inside a huddle of people as you entered, gathering everyone’s attention.

When they all turned to look at you, you literally couldn’t tell whether you or the huddle of people was more shocked.

They were all Fives.

There was music playing inside, as the deli was full of different versions of your boyfriend, whether they were customers sitting at the tables, drinking coffee or having a meal, reading the newspaper or having a chat. There were also other Fives working around, waiting tables or cooking in the back.

Nonetheless, they all stopped to look at you.

“Yeah, yeah, Y/N is here, carry on, you guys,” The Five that was holding your hand waved the others off with his free hand, “She needs a moment, stop being creeps.”

“I can’t tell if this is a dream come true or my worst nightmare,” You said, looking around the deli, as Five guided you towards an empty booth.

You sat down as the other picked up again whatever they were doing, still watching you with the corner of their eyes. Five took a seat in front of you, still holding onto your hand on top of the table, using his other hand to rub small circles on your skin.

“I am not the Five that dragged you here, in case you didn’t tell yet,” Five managed to say, “But I’m pretty sure that you did, since I know you’re smarter than he gives you credit for.”

“He did mention that this subway system is the knot to multiple timelines,” You sighed, as Waiter Five set down two cups of steaming coffee on the table.

You watched him curiously, as he looked yet again exactly like Five, wearing just a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up, with a black tie, pantsuit pants and a server apron around the waist. He smiled at you warmly, setting down two small packs of sugar and a creamer.

“I’m sorry, my love, we don’t have any Irish Capuccinos around here, since you’re the first Y/N to set foot in here,” He apologetically smiled, “I can only get you a shot of whiskey, if you’d like.”

Of course they all knew your favorite coffee.

“Make it a bottle,” You said, cracking a smile for the first time, causing him to chuckle, before walking away to attend to your order.

“I can’t begin to explain how much I missed your smile, darling,” The Five before you said, as you turned back to him, “The Handler got to the Y/N in my timeline,” He added, as sadness took over his eyes, “I missed you so much.”

“I can’t understand how you’re the same Five that fell in love with Lila,” You said, before quickly adding, “I mean- technically, you’re not, but still.”

“Everyone around here is a different version of me, from a different timeline,” He said, “I’m one of the many that didn’t go down that road.”

“Thank you, I guess,” You laughed, making him smile again.

What a sweet smile it was.

“When I lost you, I was a total wreck,” He confessed, as you couldn’t help but place your other hand on top of his, “I love you so much, Y/N, I could never hurt you like that no matter what. This is all such a fucked up turn of events, but when I saw you coming out of that train, my mind froze.”

“I love you too, Five,” You said, “But I need to wrap my head around what is going on- Everything is insane, I mean I’m right now in the middle of yet another apocalypse, I just found out that you love Lila and there’s just so fucking many of you.”

“I know, my love, I know,” Five nodded, “I wouldn’t dare to ask you accept everything so fast, I know it’s a lot to take in.”

“Can you just… hold me?” You asked, watching as he didn’t waste another second and got up to slide ne t yo you in the booth.

Wrapping one arm around your shoulders to pull you into his chest, he used his other one to caress your hair. You nuzzled your face into his shirt, taking in his scent, as you felt a wave of certitude wash over you. Five held you tightly into his arms, embracing you after years of your absence. He was grateful to have you in his arms once again.

And he was not about to let go anytime soon.

The Five from your timeline watched from behind the window as you took comfort in his arms, but not exactly his arms.

This was only the beginning of his lifelong regret.

𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐉𝐈𝐑𝐎

Tanjiro, who at the end of a long day craves nothing more than your warm body wrapped around him. His wine-colored hair has grown out, tickling your nose as you bury it into the fluffy mass. Your arms cradle him protectively, allowing his body to press into the curve of your own as he snuggles himself ever closer until his back is pressed flush to your chest.

You can feel all the tension melt from his body as you sneak a kiss to his nape. He releases a long sigh that melds into a yawn as he finally wills his eyes to fall shut.

Tanjiro is so used to caring for others that it feels odd to be cared for in return. His knees wobble when you brush his bangs from his forehead to kiss the scar there. He leans into your every touch like he’s starved for it.

He crumples under your loving gestures, barely able to keep the sighs of pleasure from slipping out when you wash his hair for him or roll the knots from his shoulders after a stressful mission.

He can’t sleep well unless he’s tucked himself against you. It’s to the point where he tosses and turns without the comforting weight of your leg over his hip, your soft breaths against his neck, and the compression of your arms surrounding him, cuddling him so impossibly close he can feel your heart thump thump thump against his back.

And when he startles awake gasping for air, the vivid images of a nightmare still fresh in his mind, you always feel it. He hears your breath hitch, the scent of concern filling the air and a hand feeling around for his own to still the trembling. He turns in your arms to bury his face into your neck, comforted by the soothing circles you rub into his back and the sweet nothings you whisper to him, voice still thick with sleep.

You spoil him so heavily that he fears how he’d function without you.

On hard days it seems you can’t quite swaddle him into your arms fast enough. 

He’s just returned from a particularly grating mission, his head dropping onto your shoulder the moment he walks through the door. 

“Please, hold me,” he murmurs into your neck, taking the knife you’d been using to chop vegetables and setting it aside. You swivel around and gather him up in your arms, a hand on the back of his head to guide his face back to your neck. He breathes in your comforting scent and sags further against you. It pins you between his body and the edge of the counter (which is less than comfortable), but you don’t even think to move.

“Bad day, Tanji?” you ask with knitted brows.

“Mm-hmm,” he rumbles in reply against your neck, the vibrations tickling you. “Missed you. Missed your arms around me.”

“I missed you too. Can hardly sleep without you in them.” You feel him smile against your skin at that, pleased to know you needed him just as much.

Some days he expects you to just know when he needs cuddles. He’s subtly dropping hints that he wants to be held but they keep going over your head. Tanjiro can’t help but feel frustrated. He gets all cozy in bed, leaving space for you to crawl in, giving you the eyes when you meet his gaze in the vanity mirror.

"Something you want, honey?" you tease and he pouts, turning his back to you dramatically and crossing his arms.

"Aren't you going to hold me?" he grumbles, and with that you can't resist sliding onto the futon and wrapping yourself around him like he wanted. It was rare for Tanjiro to be cross with you, but he was serious about his cuddles it seemed.
