Ed and Mustang’s relationship is really funny because Ed thinks they’re in an equally-matched battle of wills and it’s a matter of time until his inevitable victory and Mustang thinks that it’s an unfair contest and also that he’s the winner and the truth of it is that both of them are losers because one of them is a thirty year old man in a years long feud with a teenager and the other one is a teenager whose second biggest preoccupation in life is getting one over on his boss
I DON’T UNDERSTAND US SOMETIMES ???
Thinking about the absolute banger of a line we are sure to get with Eddie's love confession.
That man is THEE sappiest, THEE most unabashedly romantic of all of them. Can you imagine what he's going to say to Buck when an unrepressed Eddie finally lets himself say the words? After everything he's already said to Buck? Even while he was repressed as hell? We're not just getting a simple "I love you," that's for sure.
I am vibrating out of my skin thinking about it...
I can’t even think about it too much because it drives me up the wall. Eddie has such a way with words. He says things with so much sincerity and so much love that’s it’s impossible not to melt.
My favorite thing, too, is that everyone thinks he’s more or less put together, careful with selecting his words, etc., but when he’s with buck exclusively, he also does this little rambling thing that’s so disgustingly endearing. We’ve only seen a glimpse of it when he was with Shannon, but it’s magnified tenfold with Buck.
When he removes his filter, though??? We are, without a doubt, getting a whole ass love confession for the storybooks from that man.
Now let me tell you why
@astralgabriel posted this gif recently and I realized
Look who he makes a bee-line for
He doesn’t even look at anyone else, he just books it to Sam immediately and he jumps in front of him no one else. He looks almost worried, very protective.
He stops immediately in front of Sam and turns around ready to fuck shit up, knowing damn well he isn’t strong enough to take them, but he still planted himself in front of Sam and I’m emotional.
LOOK AT HIM SQUARING UP IN FRONT OF SAM
He only starts to relax when he realizes Lucifer killed the angels. But guys if you notice, everytime there was something major happening he always checked on Sam and focused on Sam. Just like he stared at Sam before he stepped up to Michael. He looked at Sam back in hammer of the gods. Sam always seems to be the most important thing in his mind in stressful situations. I feel like that little scene in exodus should get more recognition so here @softiesabriel please notice my post ahh. @letbuckyeathisgoddamnplums
Okay before I share this please realize changes like this is VERY normal this early in production.
That being said it is now:
6x03: The Devil You Know
6x04: Animal Instincts
rather than:
6x03: Animal Instincts
6x04: Evil
the thing about the way that eddie talks is that he doesn’t leave room for doubt or misinterpretation when it comes to telling buck exactly what role he has in the diaz boys’ lives. “there’s no one else I trust more with my son.” “no one else will fight for my son as hard as you.” “that’s what I want for him.”
it’s not “I trust you” or “I appreciate how much you love my son”, no. eddie has told Buck over and over again that he’s his number one.
“The hardest thing I asked her to do was something I never thought she would be able to do. She is like a human Swiss army knife who was able to flip herself backwards do this, watching this scene with her flipping backwards was just beyond incredible and I was so happy that it worked.“ “That was me, I’m very dexterous with with my toes. I could braid someone’s hair with my toes, I reckon. I could pick a lock no problem.”
James Gunn and Margot Robbie on this particular stunt
No cause seriously there isn’t a single song on the Atlas albums by sleeping at last that isn’t beautiful. Like each one lights up the soul and brings me to tears in its ability to capture and illustrate the wonder and beauty of the world around us.
Whenever Netflix gets around to doing something with the rights to the Chronicles of Narnia, I want them to know one thing:
One that begins right after the Pevensies’ coronation, and ends when they accidentally stumble back through the wardrobe.
We want episodes about adjusting to the responsibility of being rulers.
We want episodes about Peter subconsciously using WWII tactics when fighting the Giants in Ettismoor to the north, and being horrified with himself when he realizes.
We want episodes about how the Pevensies earned their titles—the Magnificent, the Gentle, the Just, the Valiant.
We want episodes about Susan receiving her first offer of marriage from a suitor, and struggling with the idea of ever leaving her siblings—even for love.
We want episodes on how Archenland was rebuilt, and about the disappearance of Prince Cor.
We want episodes about Edmund having chronic nightmares for their first couple of years in Narnia and trying to hide it, struggling to learn to forgive himself as Aslan forgave him.
We want episodes about how the apple orchard came to be.
We want episodes about the wars with Calormen.
We want episodes about Lucy getting tired of being cooped up in Cair Paravel and deciding to go on an adventure of her own—only for Peter to comedically misread the situation and believe she’s been kidnapped.
We want special episodes about the Horse and His Boy from the Pevensies’ point of view, possibly even tying in with a Horse and His Boy movie.
We want episodes where, matched in a battle of wits with a neighboring princess, Edmund is too busy trying to verbally destroy her to realize that he’s fallen head-over-heels in love with her.
We want comedic episodes where Peter and Edmund test their sisters’ suitors.
We want episodes where it becomes painfully obvious that Lucy is Peter’s favorite sister.
We want episodes where, when a sudden sickness strikes the land, Susan abandons all caution to help nurse her people, and all learn why she is called the Gentle.
We want episodes where the Pevensies first come to the Lone Islands.
We want episodes where, when visiting a neighboring country, someone in court is abruptly murdered and Edmund plays detective for an entire arc.
We want episodes where Lucy saves Peter in just the nick of time with a force of archers during one of the battles with Calormen.
We want episodes about Narnia healing from its time under the White Witch.
We want episodes about how much their people loved them—and how distraught they were in the aftermath of their disappearance.
We want Golden Age Narnia.
