“and who’s this?”
levi stiffens as your eyes find his, boring into his skull with an intensity he’s never felt before. what is thus feeling? what are you looking at him? “i’m leviathan, avatar of envy,” he stutters out, wishing he could flee back to his room.
“he’s the third-born, just under me,” mammon says with a lazy wave of his hand. “but really, he’s just a boring otaku so it’ll probably be best to leave him alone.”
your eyes sharpen at this. levi doesn’t argue, knowing it’s the truth. he’s much happier surrounded by his games and figurines and doesn’t want to get involved with you. shouldn’t want to get involved with you.
“nice to meet you, goodbye,” levi says quickly, turning on his heel and hastening back to his room. he can still hear you and mammon talking, and out of some morbid curiosity he pauses out of sight, wondering what you have to say about him.
“see,” mammon says, “boring. and good for nothing.”
“that’s rude,” you say, and levi wishes he could see your expression.
“what? c’mon,” mammon wheedles. “levi’s just a gross otaku. he’s got no social skills, his only cool power is summoning lotan, and asmo said he was the ugliest out of us all so he doens’t even have good looks.”
“jeez, you’re mean,” you scoff. “while i can’t say anything about the first two points since i don’t know enough, i can tell you you’re wrong on that last part. he’s not ugly. i’d say he’s pretty fucking hot, actually. is he always like that?”
levi can hardly hear mammon’s sputtering over the sound of his blood rushing. not only did you stick up for him but you also thought he was-
he was having an embarrassment overload!
quickly making it back to his room, levi falls into his bed, smashing his heated face into the pillows. god, he was melting. hopefully, you’d continue to feel that way even if you get to know him better.
