as Bucky walked up to your apartment, he was nervous. it had been 8 months since Steve had gone back to the past, and you hadn't been in contact with anyone. Bucky had called and texted you over a dozen times, but had never received an answer.

he knew that your father abandoning you would mess you up for a while. it messed him up too. if it weren't for Steve neither of you would have been in the 21st century. on the other hand, if it weren't for Steve, he wouldn't have met you.

he'd met you briefly in HYDRA, but he never really interacted with you. he'd been introduced to you by Drekov during his time in the Red Room. he barely recognized you when Steve freed him, but after a short conversation, he was shocked that you were still alive, not many people survive the gruesome and rigorous training.

"smelly fucker." you said, and grabbed your gun again before running off in the opposite direction to help Natasha and Okoye. Bucky laid against the rock he was shoved against, and breathed heavily, trying to get his nether regions to behave. it wasn't the killing that turned him on -he wasn't a sadist- it was seeing you protecting him, and more importantly how easily your arms strangled that creature.

"you're in Madripoor?" he asked, stunned. "baby, i was there like a month ago!"

you sniffled. "i know. i t-told my aunt to not tell you i'm here." Bucky sighed, his eyes closing in frustration. not with you, though. never with you. with himself, for not seeing the signs of you living with your aunt.

a plane ride later, and he was in Madripoor, and walking through your aunts museum to get to her apartment. he took a deep breath as he approached the door. he turned his head to either side, satisfying cracks filling the quiet space. he knocked on the door, the metal of his hand vibrating against the wood of the reinforced door.

the door opened moments later, and Sharon appeared in the doorway. she smiled knowingly, and jerked her head to the side, allowing Bucky in the apartment silently.

"up the stairs, second door on the left." she said simply, before disappearing into the kitchen. Bucky took another deep breathe, and headed up the stairs. he found your door, and knocked.

a soft 'come in' sounded from inside, and he grasped the door knob, turning it in his fist.

he stepped in the room, and smiled when he saw you. the bed frame and headboard was upholstered in a calming light grey, while the bedding was a mix of white and cream, the pillows having some grey specks on them to add some diversity. his eyes were drawn to an upholstered sheepskin chair next to the bed where you were curled up. he took off his shoes, and walked across the cement floor, the coolness going away as they met the warm cream coloured rug that sat underneath the chair and the bed.

you smiled up at him, and placed your book that you had been reading on your wooden bedside table that held a small succulent and a white lamp that was casting a warm yellow light on you in the chair.

he sat on your bed, and you immediately stood up. he wrapped his arms around you, and pulled you into a hug. his hands traveled up and down your back as you relaxed into his hold, which made his heart soar. you had never been so open to touching him before, and having you in his arms was making him feel like his life was complete.

"why'd you call me?" he asked, and you listed your head.

hey, y'all! so since my harley quinn inspired fic i've been talking about is turning out to be a lot longer than i originally planned (i hit 12k today) and it won't be out a little longer, i thought i'd give you a sneak peek!! this is the opening of the fic, and i hope you all enjoy!! “Stupid fucking bad guys,” Bucky muttered to himself as he leaned against the wall of the elevator. He was heading down to what Sam had so fondly dubbed the Alcatraz of Avengers Tower, watching the floor numbers flash above the door as he got closer and closer. The level he was called to was way below the lobby of the Tower, way below the streets of New York City. The few floors that the prison occupied were rendered indestructible, surrounded with concrete, steel, and vibranium for good measure. The only way to get to it was to go all the way up to the Avengers Command floor and then take a separate (secret) elevator down.

It was possibly the most secure place in New York, and the most confidential. There’d been a plethora of villains kept there that the Avengers had stopped before the public had even gotten the slightest hint about their existence.

It was better that way, he supposed. And it wasn’t like the villains didn’t get a trial.

Just… a secret one.

Bucky rubbed the sleep from his eyes, fighting back a yawn. The distressed wakeup call from FRIDAY had been less than welcome. It was the first time in four days that he hadn’t woken up from a night terror. Plus, he didn’t really fancy heading to a team meeting in his pajamas.

“Can’t they wait to do their… their villain shit when it’s not two in the morning?” He asked the AI.

“Apparently not, Sergeant Barnes,” FRIDAY said, her voice warm.

When the doors finally opened on the second to last floor, way down in the basement of the Tower, he was greeted by the sight of the rest of the Avengers standing in front of the singular cell on this floor, all in various states of disarray somewhat similar to his, except for Natasha who looked pristine in her uniform. With the wall that they formed, he couldn’t even see who the occupant was. In the years he’d spent with them, he’d never seen the team so quiet before, but they were all completely entranced with whoever or whatever they were watching.

“What’s the kid doing here?” Bucky asked when he spotted Peter standing somewhat in front of Natasha. His mask was off, but he was still wearing his Spider-Man suit. “Isn’t it past your bedtime?”

He forgot that the two of them were on patrol that night, with Natasha training the kid in martial arts. They must’ve been the ones who called for the rest of them.

To his credit, the boy had gotten a lot better at recognizing that Bucky’s ribbing was playful and not meant to be taken seriously, especially his comments about him still being a kid. After all, he was in college now, even if he hadn’t moved out of his Aunt May’s place. He was wringing his mask repeatedly as his eyes darted over to the hundred year old man. “Y-You won’t be joking when you see this, M-Mr. Bucky.”

“I told you, kid. It’s just Bu…” He trailed off as he finally wormed his way to stand in between Peter and Natasha.

I think, somehow, p0rn has fucked up many people's head to the point that, if you see a man WITH A FLACID PENIS, AS IT SHOULD BE IN A NORMAL SITUATION, you're already calling out, feeling the right to say if it's good or bad or whatever. and I honestly think that the part that shocked me the most was that it was sebastian's fan accounts the ones saying this. if your expectations because of fanfictions were too high (and listen, I'm not saying fanfics are wrong, I read some of them too and even sebastian said that it was okay with him) but you need to separate the actor from the character in those fics... even when they use their real names, it's still AU! because you don't know how they truly are. so, it doesn't matter if you are his most hardcore fan or if you're a hater or his closest friend or whatever, you all shouldn't body shame, guys.

so, in conclusion, if you don't have anything good to say, don't fucking say it. nobody actually wants to hear it ✨

edit: some of you are really excusing yourselves behind the "he doesn't have twitter/tumblr/is barely active on instagram" so you all can go and trash talk and that's fucking disgusting and you should truly be ashamed.

and no, I'm not treating him as a "he's a handsome little baby who I must protect" but as a human being that deserves respect. that's all.

sebastian stan is a very attractive man, none of us are going to deny that, and a lot of people who watch 'monday' will do so because he is in it, we're also not questioning that - but if you watch it ONLY because of his nude scene and then choose to body shame him when it isn't even the main focus point of the film, then you need to get a life. mickey is a charming, attractive character who looks mighty fine smoking a cigarette and who licked a girls face in a scene i haven't stopped thinking about it, but he is that way because sebastian is a charming actor who is attractive but also talented and brightening and who struggles with body image, so if you go into the film only thinking about the nudity and coming out disappointed that his nudity didn't meet your standards (????) and literally zero thoughts about the characters, the script, the directing, absolutely anything else sebastian did in the movie, please question why you watch films at all

And after years of grueling school, training and fighting to earn your place with no one knowing the legacy in your blood line, you did it.

No, those weren’t tears in your eyes… it was just dusty in the bullpen, that was all. You could feel him everywhere. You knew this was where he lived and breathed and worked for so much of his life. Your mom never understood how you ended up being so understanding about never seeing him, while your brother spent so much of your lives incredibly bitter and angry at him for “abandoning” you both. You always told Stephen that dad spent every minute of every day trying to make the world a safer place for the two of you to grow up in. And now you could finally continue his life’s work.
