I Need Help For My Next Fic: In Your Opinion, If Shin Had Been A Formally Trained Jedi, Would Her Lightsaber

I need help for my next fic: In your opinion, if Shin had been a formally trained Jedi, would her lightsaber had been green (mastery over the Force) or blue (exceptional aptitude in combat)?

There Ain't a Drop of Bad Blood - a Wolfwren fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! Day 3 of @wolfwrenweek I can't believe we're already halfway through! Today's story is based on an idea that I've been toying with for a while, Rebel Shin. I hope you'll enjoy it! Here is the beginning and the link for the rest of the story will be at the end!

The instant the windows shattered in front of her, Shin knew the operation was impossible to salvage. She blamed it all on Sabine Wren. In fact, Sabine had thrown the explosive which had caused the windows to blow. As Shin fell on her back, pain corkscrewing her stomach, her hatred toward the other Rebel only grew.

“Shin, come on. We don’t have time for a nap.”

Shin huffed and did her best to get up with the Mandalorian’s help. If she looked down, she could see a piece of glass buried in her stomach. She was fairly certain they didn’t belong there, though, as her head swam with warm anxiety, she wasn’t certain of anything anymore.

Blaster shots zipped past them. Sabine whirled around to fire back at the stormtroopers while she guided Shin to the trap through which they had infiltrated the warehouse. Shin expected one of the shots to hit her back and burn through her, but the pain never came. Either Sabine was doing a mighty good job keeping them at bay, or the stormtroopers were even worse than usual.

As they reached the trap door, Shin couldn’t find it in herself to bend and climb within. All she could do was let herself fall. Thankfully, the drop wasn’t too long. Unfortunately, it was concrete. She fell on her side. The air was knocked out of her. She coughed up as she struggled to get back up. She had to check that the glass was still in her stomach, because it felt like her belly was wide open.

Sabine climbed in after her and shut the trap after them. She shot at the seal, securing the trap so none of the stormtroopers could follow. Then, she jumped off the ladder to help Shin up on her feet again.

“Come on. We can’t linger here.”

How in the Force had their mission gone so poorly? Shin was supposed to retrieve supplies for the Hidden Path. It should have been an easy get-in and get-out situation. But then, the Rebellion had decided to help by sending one of their members to escort her. First off, how dare they think Shin needed an escort. She had accomplished many missions on her own. She didn’t need anyone. Second, of all the people they could have picked, they’d had to pick the most aggravating member they could find. The one person Shin wanted to avoid. Sabine Wren.

Sabine dragged her through the service tunnels. Shin could hear banging coming from behind them – or perhaps it was the pounding of her panicked heart in her ears. It didn’t matter that this exit was sealed. There were many others, and the stormtroopers were sure to catch up with them. Shin’s feet shuffled on the ground as she tried to keep up with the speed Sabine was setting for them both. The stabbing pain in her stomach was making her dizzy. If she stumbled and crashed head first and pushed the pieces of glass fully into her stomach, would the pain stop? Sabine didn’t allow her any chance to slip and fall, as she kept a firm grip on the sleeve of her shirt.

Pull Me Out of the Water, Cold and Blue - a Caitvi fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! I haven't be able to get these two out from under my skin since I watched season 2, so I thought I'd try the method that works best for me. I wrote the fluffiest, most sugar-sweet fic that I could. Here is the beginning and if you want to read the whole story the link will be at the end! Enjoy!

Vi was not surprised to find Caitlyn reclined on their bed when she came home in the early evening. Neither of them had had a day to rest since the battle and their day wasn’t over, as they had a fundraiser to attend in an hour. Vi didn’t blame her girlfriend for taking a little nap. If she’d come home sooner from Zaun, she would have done the same, but the reconstruction had taken longer than she’d wished.

Vi lingered by the posters of the bed, arms crossed and a tender smile on her face as she watched Cait sleep. Her girlfriend had only removed her boots and was still wearing her pants and a black turtleneck. Her hair was down but her eyepatch was still firmly in place. She was reclined on her back, one hand over her chest, head turned toward the crackling fireplace. Its golden flames danced over her face like butterflies, and Vi watched as the light and shadows clung to Cait’s features.

“I know you’re staring,” Cait said without opening her eye, a certain amusement in her voice.

“Is that a crime? Are you going to throw me in jail for staring?”

Cait huffed like she didn’t want to laugh but she could not stop the sound from rushing past her lips. She rubbed her eye, stretched, and took in a deep breath. Then, she looked at Vi.

“What time is it?”

“Six-ish.”

“Wake me up in half an hour… That ought to give me enough time to prepare…”

Cait rolled away from the fireplace, legs folding atop the covers.

“Hard day at work?” Vi asked her.

“When is it not?”

Vi glanced at the clock. If her girlfriend was going to take a nap, then she figured she would do the same. She rounded the bed to her side, sat down and removed her boots. Then, she laid down across the huge bed, and rolled until she was facing Cait.

A Big Mandalorian Wedding - a Wolfwren fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! The long awaited sequel to "I Can Wait For You at the Bottom" is up and as the title implies, it is a wedding :) Here is the beginning and if you want to read the whole story, the link will be at the end!

Sabine had sat in front of the mirror, back ramrod straight, for what felt like hours. Her wedding suit wasn’t the most comfortable suit she’d ever worn, but her mother had insisted on something regal, worthy of this wedding of the century. It was a bit too gray for her taste, though the gold pattern on the satin mostly made up for it. She’d been allowed to paint the only beskar on her, her pauldrons, however she’d liked. One was orange and green in a checkered pattern. The other was dark red, with a circular centipede curling up on itself.

Handmaids fluttered around her like a bunch of butterflies. They had done her make up, though she’d had to rein them in to a dark eyeshadow and pale lipstick, or else they might have gone all out and made her look like a clown. They had brushed her short hair and pinned a crown of silver with flowers knotted into the metal. Now that she was ready, they still lingered around her, as if afraid that all their hard work would melt off her and they would have only a few minutes to start again.

Sabine glanced at the clock in the corner of the Palace room. She wanted to slouch but her suit wouldn’t allow it. Half an hour left before she could make her way to the temple. She wanted to see Shin, wanted to know what she was wearing, how she was feeling, just see her. They’d barely had the chance to see each other when the Mandalorian delegation had arrived to Coruscant for the wedding. Sabine had been almost immediately spirited away to her own wing of the Palace. Her mother kept telling her that it was for good luck, but she didn’t believe a bit of it. She thought her mother and King Baylan were afraid that if they saw each other they would elope, wasting hundreds of thousands of credits on this wedding of the century.

A knock came at the door and Sabine sighed with relief, thinking that her time in handmaid’s jail was over.

“Come in.”

When the door open, her father stepped inside. He was wearing a suit similar to hers; the Clan Wren colors. His silver crown of Prince Consort was embedded with yellow diamonds. For his touch of color, he had painted his own pocket square, a spectrum of colors folded neatly.

“Wow…” he said as he saw her. “You look beautiful.”

He leaned over her, hands on her shoulders as he placed a kiss on the crown of her head. Sabine smiled.

“Thanks, dad. Where’s mom? Are we ready to go?”

“Your mom is dealing with some last-minute problem. She’ll be here shortly.”

A small frown appeared on Sabine’s forehead.

“Problem? What problem?”

Is It Casual Now? - a Wolfwren fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! I'm back with a new multichapter story, this one is a Firefighter AU. Here is an extract and if you want to read the whole chapter the link will be at the end!

When Old Jho pushed the glass back in front of her, Sabine took a sip then said:

“I don’t think I’ve seen you here before.”

The blonde’s attention turned to her. She had cold, piercing green eyes, almost blue in the dim bar. Her lips were set in a neutral line, as if she didn’t quite care to engage Sabine in conversation. Sabine added:

“New recruit?”

The blonde shrugged.

“Not really. Reassigned.”

“Bad captain or need for a change of scenery?”

“Neither. Don’t get used to seeing me around here anyway. It’s only a matter of time before I get reassigned again.”

The blonde picked up her drink and finished it. Sabine watched her with a slight frown. She assumed the blonde was a temp, shifted from station to station to fill in whenever someone had to take a leave.

“Well, I hope you enjoy your time on this side of the city.”

She raised her glass as a welcoming gesture, then took another sip. The blonde motioned for Old Jho to give her another drink. While they waited, Sabine thought she’d introduced herself.

“I’m Sabine.”

“Shin,” the blonde replied curtly.

“Are you alone tonight? No welcome crew from the station trying to show you a good time?”

Shin shrugged.

“What’s the point? Like I said, I’ll be gone in a few weeks.”

“You never try to make friends with people in your station?”

Shin shook her head.

“How about people from other stations?” Sabine asked in a low voice.

Shin must have gotten her meaning, as her eyes roamed down Sabine’s face, to her plaid shirt and jeans. Sabine smirked. When Shin’s eyes returned to her, she was smirking too. Sabine liked where this was going.

Where the hell have I been

(And more importantly, where is that Warrior Nun/Ocean’s 8 AU I promised)

Back in April I said my next fanfiction would be an Ocean’s 8 AU, but that it would take a bit of time to write. I spent two thirds of April finishing up my Warrior Nun inspired novel, then, as I had planned, I began working on the fic. Then, trouble arose...

At the begging of May, I received an acceptance letter from my dream University and I got into their creative writing program. Awesome. However this university is in Canada, on the other side of the ocean, which means a lot of paperwork to get my visa in time, among all things.

Long story short, I spent a very stressful month of May, and June is only becoming better now. I have not been able to get any writing down, on the fic or any story for that matter. The irony isn’t lost on me. I get into a creative writing program only to forget how to write -_-

I’m sorry but I have no idea when, or even if I will be able to deliver the fic as I had promised. If that was something you were looking forward to, I hope you can forgive me.

I hope I’ll be able to post a new fic soon, but if I don’t, have a nice summer everyone!

Life Could Be a Dream - a RubyxChristina fanfiction

A/N: Hey guys! Here’s an extract from the first part of my new two-shot, in which Christina inherits a strange book. If you’re interested, the link to the full story is at the end!

"What are we looking at?" Ruby asked.

"A book," Christina replied.

Ruby rolled her eyes.

"I couldn't have guessed it myself. And something tells me this isn't the kind of book we want to open."

Christina touched one of the cogs on the cover, making it turn one notch to the right. They held their breaths, but nothing happened.

"We need the combination," Christina said.

She looked more closely at the mirror in the middle of it all, in case something was hidden inside. All she saw was her eye staring back at her.

"Again, should we open it?" Ruby asked. "It could be trapped. If those Butchers didn't really like your father but wanted him to have it, it probably wasn't out of the kindness of their hearts."

"I've thought of that."

Christina pulled on the straps lightly, but they wouldn't budge. She looked at the back of the book, but there was nothing. She was pulled out of her thoughts when she felt Ruby's hand on her shoulder.

"I know that you're excited about a possible new magic book, but it's locked for a reason. And I don't need to remind you that you're not as equipped to deal with magic as you used to be. The mark is one thing, but whatever's inside, it might be stronger than the mark."

Christina pursed her lips.

"What do you suggest?"

"I'm not going to stop you from trying, because I know then you'll go behind my back. Just promise me that you won't try to open it if I'm not there. I'll place a circle around the book, make sure whatever's inside is contained in case it tries to come out."

Christina looked at Ruby. Under her tutelage, Ruby had made immense progress in the past year, and she was now a very competent practitioner. Christina never tired of hearing her lover speaking so confidently about magic.

"What?" Ruby asked.

Christina pulled her into a kiss.

"Nothing. You get started on the circle, I'll go get some things that might be useful."

Show Me Family - a Wolfwren fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! I'm back at it again with a one-shot set in my Ahsoka season 2 universe. Here is the beginning, and if you want to read the whole story, the link will be at the end!

The sound of wooden swords clashing against each other filled the training room. Sabine dodged Shin’s lunge with a chuckle and struck back. Shin pivoted to counter, then took a step back.

“Maybe someday you’ll land a hit on me,” Shin bragged, the training sword twirling in her hand.

Sabine exhale, taking the short break to catch her breath.

“What would I get for touching you?”

“Moving on from training swords?” Shin suggested.

Sabine rolled her eyes.

“Oh sure, let’s fight with real lightsabers inside a ship. I’m sure Hera will be totally cool with that…”

Shin didn’t let Sabine finish her sentence. She lunged at her again, forcing Sabine to parry. Her defense was unsteady and Shin slid her foot beneath Sabine’s calf, sweeping her leg from under her. Sabine crashed to the floor with a huff.

“Maybe I should ask for something that will really annoy you,” Sabine contemplated from the floor before she pushed herself up.

“Like what?”

“I’m thinking about it.”

Sabine let out another breath, pushing past her exhaustion. She charged with a vertical strike. Shin deflected the blow and retaliated. They traded blows, the room echoing with the sharp thwack of wood on wood and their tired breaths. Sabine aimed for Shin’s ribs and she would have gotten her if Shin hadn’t blocked the blade with the Force. Sabine stepped back.

“Cheating.”

“I know from experience bruised ribs take their time healing.”

“I was just going to give you a little tap, cheater.”

Paradise by the Dashboard Light - A RubyxChristina fanfiction

A/N: Hey guys! This is an extract from my new Ruby/Christina story, it’s a high school AU in which Leti sees Ruby disappear in a mysterious silver car and decides to investigate who the car belongs to. It’s just a lot of fun. If you’re interested, the link to the full story is at the end!

Leti left school at four, and her desire for ice cream still hadn't subsided. She decided to make a stop by the ice cream parlor on her own. It was a sunny and warm day, probably one of the last few before fall settled over Chicago. It was now or never. She took a turn to the left instead of the right, forgoing the bus, and made her way toward the ice cream parlor.

She was halfway there when she noticed someone walking ahead of her. She had absolutely no doubt that it was Ruby. She recognized her outfit, the strap of her bag passing over her shoulder, and her walk. She had headphones on, so even if Leti tried to call her, she wouldn't respond. Leti wondered where her older sister was going. The study groups usually met at the school's library. Maybe she was going to the public library, but that wasn't the way to the library either. Leti thought it would be funny if they ended up one behind the other at the ice cream parlor. Maybe she could ask her then.

However, Ruby took a turn to the right, away from the ice cream parlor. Leti frowned again. She stopped at the red light where Ruby had crossed and watched her sister walk toward the nearby park. Leti couldn't help but wonder what her sister was up to. It wasn't like Ruby to lie to her or have secrets. When the light turned green again, Leti hurried after her sister.

She kept her distance, making sure that Ruby wouldn't notice her. Ruby was indeed going to the park, but she didn't walk in, instead, she made her way around it. There was a car parked beside the sidewalk. It was an old-looking silver car, with dark windows. It was impossible to tell who or if someone was inside. Ruby stopped by the car and knocked on the window. The door opened. Ruby slid inside, and Leti was very confused. Ruby was seating in the driver's seat, but shortly after she'd stepped in, the car drove away. Ruby didn't know how to drive. Marvin had tried to teach her but after she'd accidentally crashed his old pickup, they'd both given up. So Ruby couldn't be driving.

Leti watched the silver car disappear at a corner and drive away. She remained on the sidewalk for a moment, her brain full of questions. Ruby had lied, at least she was certain of that. But why? Who did this car belong to? Certainly, someone rich, to own such a luxurious looking vehicle. Leti pulled her phone out and called Ruby. She wanted to know the truth, and know why her sister had lied to her.

"What?" Ruby said as she picked up.

Leti couldn't find her words. What was she supposed to say? That she'd accidentally followed Ruby and seen her setting into a stranger's car? An expensive car at that?

"Leti? What's going on?"

Leti swallowed, and with the only voice she could find, she asked:

"Are you at your study group yet?"

"Yeah, we're kind of busy."

A cold bolt of betrayal struck Leti then.

"It's... it's not important. It can wait. See you later."

"Later."

Ruby hung up, and Leti lowered her phone. She couldn't believe Ruby had lied to her again. She didn't even want to get ice cream anymore. Instead, she made her way back home, deep in thoughts. Why would Ruby lie to her? Who was the man – it had to be a man, only men had nice expensive cars like this one – who'd picked her up? Could he be her boyfriend? She thought Ruby knew she could tell her if she had a secret boyfriend. They were sisters, it had to mean something.
