We’re Not Eloping (Until Your Dad Is Dead) - A RubyxChristina Fanfiction

We’re not Eloping (Until your Dad is Dead) - A RubyxChristina fanfiction

A/N: Hey guys! Here’s an extract from my new story, about Christina’s father thinking William is Chris’ boyfriend and wanting to meet him, so now Ruby has to take the potion and pretend to be William for an evening. If you’re interested, the link to the full story will be at the end.

Christina was about to leave her house when the phone rang. Seeing as there was only one person who ever called her, she clicked her tongue with annoyance, then picked up.

"If you could make it quick, father, I have things to get to."

"It will only be a minute of your time," Samuel Braithwhite replied on the other side. "I only wanted to make sure that you hadn't forgotten about the fundraiser on Friday evening."

Christina rolled her eyes. It wasn't much of a fundraiser, and far more of a meeting of all the richest members of the Order, most of which, in her opinion, were absolutely untalented in the art.

"How could I forget," she answered coldly.

"Good. I shall see you then."

Christina was relieved that the conversation was over, and just about to put the phone back on the hook when her father added:

"I trust you'll bring that blond suitor of yours."

Christina frowned in confusion.

"Who?"

"Don't play dumb with me, you've always been too smart for your own good. Do you really think I would never find out about that blond man who keeps coming in and out of your house at all hours of the day?"

Christina was stunned. Her father had found out about William, except that he believed William was her boyfriend. She waited nervously for him to mention Ruby, but her father continued with William.

"If some of my business partners learned that my daughter was living with a man... So you will bring him, and he'll be introduced as your fiancé, and that is an order."

Christina pursed her lips, preferring to remain silent.

"Am I making myself clear?"

"Yes, sir."

"Good. I will see you on Friday."

Her father hung up, and Christina let out a long, drawn-out breath. She leaned against the armrest of the sofa. Her mind was racing. How was she supposed to explain to her father that William didn't exist anymore? She couldn't tell him. If he knew she had fully developed the metamorphosis potion, he would have no qualm stealing her research and presenting them as his. But if William didn't make an appearance on Friday...

She sighed again. There was only one thing left to do, but she was certain Ruby wouldn't appreciate it.

The Search for Wyrd - a Wolfwren fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! This is the beginning of the first chapter of my new fic, a sequel to "The Witching Hour". If you want to read the whole chapter, the link will be at the end! Enjoy :)

Shin remembered jumping in puddles after the rain and watching how the light shattered under her feet; the reflection of the nearby storefront interrupted, then, as the puddles became placid again, appearing as solid as the real thing. She remembered breaking a lightbulb of the already poorly maintained streetlights by kicking a ball too hard, and running home before anyone could spot the culprits, a gaggle of children laughing off their mistake. She remembered following her mother around the stalls, gathering ingredients for supper and ingredients for potions. Rarely had a place held so many memories for her, but as she walked down the busy streets of Swanpond, it all came flooding back.

Shin let her feet take her, as if after all this time they still remembered her way home. The stores had changed. Some of the houses looked the worst for wear. Time had taken its toll, added a few cables arching over the street, a few cracks in the walls and a few stains on the windows. Shin thought she would have to pull her map out, when, all too soon, she was standing in front of the right building.

Her heart skipped a beat in her chest, making her light-headed. What were the odds of her mother still living in that basement, waiting for her, after eighteen years? She could be anywhere in the galaxy. But a flicker of hope still nestled in her brain. Perhaps she had spent too much time with Sabine. With anxiousness in her chest and more optimism that she usually allowed herself, Shin walked up to the door and knocked.

“Coming, coming…”

The door opened to an old Weequay woman wrapped in a teal shawl. She looked up at Shin with a frown. Though Shin recognized her, she had forgotten her name. She remembered only that her mother had specifically instructed her no leave the old woman alone, lest she kick them out.

“Can I help you?”

“I’m looking for a Zabrak woman. Her name is Wyrd. She lived here last I heard.”

“You a client?”

“Not exactly.”

The old woman continued to stare Shin down with a deep frown, the folds of her leathery skin almost covering her eyes.

“She’s not in trouble, is she? She was a good tenant for many years, I’d hate it if she got into trouble.”

“No, she’s not…” Shin paused as she caught up to what the woman had said. “She’s not here anymore?”

Her heart seemed to stop then, to compensate, start up like a furious horse. Her hopes dashed against the ground of Coronet City. The woman hesitated another second. Then, finally, she opened the door wider.

Pull Me Out of the Water, Cold and Blue - a Caitvi fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! I haven't be able to get these two out from under my skin since I watched season 2, so I thought I'd try the method that works best for me. I wrote the fluffiest, most sugar-sweet fic that I could. Here is the beginning and if you want to read the whole story the link will be at the end! Enjoy!

Vi was not surprised to find Caitlyn reclined on their bed when she came home in the early evening. Neither of them had had a day to rest since the battle and their day wasn’t over, as they had a fundraiser to attend in an hour. Vi didn’t blame her girlfriend for taking a little nap. If she’d come home sooner from Zaun, she would have done the same, but the reconstruction had taken longer than she’d wished.

Vi lingered by the posters of the bed, arms crossed and a tender smile on her face as she watched Cait sleep. Her girlfriend had only removed her boots and was still wearing her pants and a black turtleneck. Her hair was down but her eyepatch was still firmly in place. She was reclined on her back, one hand over her chest, head turned toward the crackling fireplace. Its golden flames danced over her face like butterflies, and Vi watched as the light and shadows clung to Cait’s features.

“I know you’re staring,” Cait said without opening her eye, a certain amusement in her voice.

“Is that a crime? Are you going to throw me in jail for staring?”

Cait huffed like she didn’t want to laugh but she could not stop the sound from rushing past her lips. She rubbed her eye, stretched, and took in a deep breath. Then, she looked at Vi.

“What time is it?”

“Six-ish.”

“Wake me up in half an hour… That ought to give me enough time to prepare…”

Cait rolled away from the fireplace, legs folding atop the covers.

“Hard day at work?” Vi asked her.

“When is it not?”

Vi glanced at the clock. If her girlfriend was going to take a nap, then she figured she would do the same. She rounded the bed to her side, sat down and removed her boots. Then, she laid down across the huge bed, and rolled until she was facing Cait.

Big Iron - a Wolfwren fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! I'm back with a new multichapter story, this time it's a cowboy AU! Here is the beginning, and if you want to read the whole first chapter, the link will be at the end!

Sabine wiggled in her saddle as she struggled to find a comfortable position. She had been cleared by the doctor back in Lothal but that didn’t mean that she didn’t feel any pain anymore. The knife wound in her abdomen flared up every so often, especially after a long day on horseback. That was also why she rode behind Bo-Katan, so her partner didn’t notice that she was uncomfortable. And anyway, they were almost at Nevarro.

The city’s entrance was marked by a rectangular arch. In the letter Bo-Katan had received, they had been instructed to cross the town then follow the road into the mountains. Sabine didn’t know what to expect out of Nevarro. The town seemed animated enough, with people going about their business on either side of their horses. She spotted a group of children rushing out of the school. She heard the sharp ringing of a hammer falling on metal coming from the direction of the blacksmith. Jolly music echoed out of the bar. It seemed a typical mountain town, with ranches spread out all around it.

A notice board by the sheriff’s office caught Sabine’s attention. She recognized most of the wanted posters on there. Once upon a time, she would have gone hunting for one. But since the accident – Bo called it an accident; Sabine thought it was just the risk that came with the job – they hadn’t taken a single job. Right there in the middle was the wanted poster for the White Wolf. She had been this close to getting them too, she thought bitterly as her horse walked on by.

They left the town and Bo took a right, up into the mountains. They trotted past fences. Wine seemed to be a prominent Nevarro business, if all the vines were anything to go by. Each vine had been grown in the same T shape, all side by side, so they looked like rows of dancers holding hands.

Sabine and Bo climbed higher still, until they reached a plateau, the entrance of which was marked by an arch. Mudhorn Range was written on top. The ranch was made up of large pastures for the horses, a stable some ways away from the main house, which sat in the center, at the end of the dirt road. Beside it was the barracks for the stable hands.

They approached the main house. It was one-story, rather small for a ranch home, with a porch shadowing the front door. A little pond sat near it. When the two bounty hunters arrived, a little boy stepped away from the pond. His face was shadowed by a hat so big it looked like he had huge pointed ears. He was holding a little frog he had probably found in the pond, as the amphibian struggled to jump out of his grasp.

Bo-Katan climbed off her horse and turned to the boy.

“Your father’s here?” she asked.

“Da,” the boy yelled.

Mando'a Lesson - A Wolfwren fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! This is the sequel to my halloween High School AU that a lot of you enjoyed! You will find the beginning of the story below but if you want to read the whole thing, the link will be at the end!

Shin unlocked her front door like a thief. She passed her head through and listened to the quiet home, waiting for Baylan’s calm strong voice to ask her if she was back from school. But he never spoke, because he wasn’t home yet. She had chosen this day specifically because Baylan worked later than usual. Once she was sure of it, she let Sabine in and locked the door behind them.

“This way,” she told her as she hurried up the stairs without giving Sabine a moment to look around the entrance hall or the living room.

Upstairs, she snuck Sabine into her bedroom. Her girlfriend paused on the threshold, taking in the room. The walls were that most neutral shade of gray. Shelves heavy with trophies hung on the walls, leaving little to no space for posters. A single one hung over her desk, an ad for a fight between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul. The room was clean without so much as a straight piece of clothing on the floor. Sabine took off her orange leather jacket, sat on the desk chair and pivoted it to face the room.

“I could help you repaint your room, if you’d like.”

Shin rolled her eyes and sat at the foot of her bed. She set her school backpack beside her and opened it.

“Help me pass Mando’a first, we can talk about repainting my room later.”

She pulled out her notebook and flipped through it. Her brain was completely phobic to Mando’a. She had been studying it for years at school, yet she could barely remember the minimum. And she had put it off for so long, focusing on her strongest subjects and her competitions that, now that she was actually likely to fail, the private lesson was an emergency. Lucky for her, her new girlfriend was fluent in Mando’a.

You Understand My Heart - a Wolfwren fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! I'm back with a new canon divergence Star Wars story. This one is set in the first half of season 4 of Rebels. Today I have the prologue for you, but if you want to read more, the link will be at the end and the first chapter will be up on Saturday! Enjoy!

The ash was so thick it clogged Morgan’s eyes, coated her tongue and settled in her lungs. There was nothing left but the dead bodies of her sisters, left to rot on the mountainside. The little homes, dug into the orange stone, had all been ransacked. The elevators had been destroyed and Morgan had to climb the harsh cliff by hand. When she reached the top, Dathomir’s bright red sun was only a flicker choked in the smoke that still filled the air.

Despair was like a claw, buried deep in Morgan’s throat, tearing the breath out of her with each step she took through her village. She brushed back tears. Her search grew frantic as she upturned broken doors and cleared shattered jars, to find lifeless bodies, again and again. She couldn’t be the only one, she told herself. It was impossible. Someone else must have survived this massacre. She had to believe that someone else had, or she would crumble.

A muted whine snapped her out of her frenzy. It had come from one of the houses on the other side of the village. She rushed to it, jumping over a broken fence in her haste. When she stopped in front of the house, a torn curtain hung in her way. Morgan was breathing fast, not just from her sprint but also from anticipation. She stood by the curtain a moment and focused her hearing as she tried to confirm that the sound had come from inside. She heard nothing. She swallowed her bitterness, refusing to believe she had imagined it.

She brushed the curtain aside. Within, the house was as much a mess as any other. The table had been flipped to the side. Singed blaster marks burned the walls. It was quite dark, as every torch and even the oven had long since been snuffed out. Morgan conjured a green flame in her palm to bring some light into the small house.

“Is anyone here?” she called.

Movement to her left caught her attention. When her light illuminated the corner, she saw another girl, just a few years younger than her. Her pale face was stricken with tears. She curled up on herself at first, quite frightened, but as soon as she saw Morgan, saw her red clothes and the tattoo on her forehead, the teenager threw herself in her arms.

Morgan was stunned, at first, but after a second, she snuffed out the fire in her hand to return the embrace. She felt the girl sobbing against her shoulder. She wanted to cry too, but she had to be strong. She swallowed her tears and held the girl while she cried. Immense relief fell on Morgan like a meteor. Someone else had survived. Someone else had been spared.

Winter’s War and a Dream of Spring (The 100/Game of Thrones AU)

A/N: You’ve waited and here it is! I promised a year ago I would include Lexa into season 8, and after much anguish and work I did it! The first chapter is up for your enjoyment! Here’s an extract and you can find the link to the full chapter after!

Lexa remembered the first time she ever saw snow. They were almost at White Harbor, from which they would continue to Winterfell on horseback. She was seating on the deck of the ship, a book in her hands, trying to distract herself from the boring journey. Suddenly, something fell on her hand. She hadn't noticed it at first. The cold air had taken over the entire ship almost as soon as they had left Dragonstone, and Lexa had been wearing furs and gloves without fail every single hour of the day. She was so wrapped up in her furs that she could have been mistaken for a small chubby wolf easily.

Something fell on her hand again, and then on her book, and then on her head. She frowned and looked up. Tiny white snowflakes were falling over them, plummeting from the sky with feather-like grace. Lexa gasped and her eyes grew wide.

“Is it snowing?” she asked, to no one in particular.

Since no one answered her, she closed her book and pushed herself up. Snowflakes continued to fall on her. She put her hands together like a cup and tried to catch as many snowflakes as she could. Unfortunately, they were all falling slowly, and almost as soon as they touched her hand they melted. She barely had any time to look at them closely before they'd disappeared forever.

She walked back and forth on the ship's upper deck, her hands reached out to grab snow, for almost ten minutes. Sometimes she would try to reach overboard, thinking there would be more snow falling into the sea, but it was mostly in vain. The sailors watched her do with amusement, which Lexa didn't seem to notice.

“Lexa?”

Lexa stopped dead in her tracks and looked over at the corridor which led further down into the ship. Her mother was standing there, hidden from the snow, Jon by her side.

“What are you doing?”

“It's snowing, mother, look!”

Lexa ran up to her mother, her hands still cupped together. By the time she reached Daenerys, however, all the snow in her hands had melted again. Her mother, however, had no difficulty seeing the snow, as many white flakes had tangled themselves in Lexa's dark brown hair.

“It is,” Daenerys replied, agreeing with her daughter.

"Don't get too excited," Jon added, "There's snow everywhere at this time of year."

Still, Lexa ignored Jon's comment and started running again around the ship, trying to collect snowflakes, until the air had grown so cold and bitter that she could barely feel her face. Then, Anya took it upon herself to drag the six-year-old back to her room and sit her down under a pile of blankets, where she left her until it was time for supper.

Show Me Family - a Wolfwren fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! I'm back at it again with a one-shot set in my Ahsoka season 2 universe. Here is the beginning, and if you want to read the whole story, the link will be at the end!

The sound of wooden swords clashing against each other filled the training room. Sabine dodged Shin’s lunge with a chuckle and struck back. Shin pivoted to counter, then took a step back.

“Maybe someday you’ll land a hit on me,” Shin bragged, the training sword twirling in her hand.

Sabine exhale, taking the short break to catch her breath.

“What would I get for touching you?”

“Moving on from training swords?” Shin suggested.

Sabine rolled her eyes.

“Oh sure, let’s fight with real lightsabers inside a ship. I’m sure Hera will be totally cool with that…”

Shin didn’t let Sabine finish her sentence. She lunged at her again, forcing Sabine to parry. Her defense was unsteady and Shin slid her foot beneath Sabine’s calf, sweeping her leg from under her. Sabine crashed to the floor with a huff.

“Maybe I should ask for something that will really annoy you,” Sabine contemplated from the floor before she pushed herself up.

“Like what?”

“I’m thinking about it.”

Sabine let out another breath, pushing past her exhaustion. She charged with a vertical strike. Shin deflected the blow and retaliated. They traded blows, the room echoing with the sharp thwack of wood on wood and their tired breaths. Sabine aimed for Shin’s ribs and she would have gotten her if Shin hadn’t blocked the blade with the Force. Sabine stepped back.

“Cheating.”

“I know from experience bruised ribs take their time healing.”

“I was just going to give you a little tap, cheater.”

Life Could Be a Dream - a RubyxChristina fanfiction

A/N: Hey guys! Here’s an extract from the first part of my new two-shot, in which Christina inherits a strange book. If you’re interested, the link to the full story is at the end!

"What are we looking at?" Ruby asked.

"A book," Christina replied.

Ruby rolled her eyes.

"I couldn't have guessed it myself. And something tells me this isn't the kind of book we want to open."

Christina touched one of the cogs on the cover, making it turn one notch to the right. They held their breaths, but nothing happened.

"We need the combination," Christina said.

She looked more closely at the mirror in the middle of it all, in case something was hidden inside. All she saw was her eye staring back at her.

"Again, should we open it?" Ruby asked. "It could be trapped. If those Butchers didn't really like your father but wanted him to have it, it probably wasn't out of the kindness of their hearts."

"I've thought of that."

Christina pulled on the straps lightly, but they wouldn't budge. She looked at the back of the book, but there was nothing. She was pulled out of her thoughts when she felt Ruby's hand on her shoulder.

"I know that you're excited about a possible new magic book, but it's locked for a reason. And I don't need to remind you that you're not as equipped to deal with magic as you used to be. The mark is one thing, but whatever's inside, it might be stronger than the mark."

Christina pursed her lips.

"What do you suggest?"

"I'm not going to stop you from trying, because I know then you'll go behind my back. Just promise me that you won't try to open it if I'm not there. I'll place a circle around the book, make sure whatever's inside is contained in case it tries to come out."

Christina looked at Ruby. Under her tutelage, Ruby had made immense progress in the past year, and she was now a very competent practitioner. Christina never tired of hearing her lover speaking so confidently about magic.

"What?" Ruby asked.

Christina pulled her into a kiss.

"Nothing. You get started on the circle, I'll go get some things that might be useful."
