You can write "seamen", as in a kind of sailor, but once you say it out loud... 🧐
woop there it is
In the holiday home I'm currently in, there's a garden outside and the trees are now (finally) losing their leaves, it's a mix out of red, orange, yellow, brown and still green. I'm sitting here, on a reading bench (like a windowsill but very broad so you can literally sit here and read), just looking into the garden, while it is gloomy and raining a little. So beautiful. Now I'm here scrolling social media, and reading, and drinking tea. Best time!
Lol alright let's do it.
1. Homeward Drowned
2. No. But my second draft title was Driftwood Souls. I liked Homeward Drowned (reference to the words homeward bound, but, well, drowned lol) better though, as it fits the story more.
3. The Wounds of Wood and Water
What chu guys think?
Okay now I am curious. 👀
How does everyone come up with titles for their work?
Do you have a go-to style, or is it more "vibes based" depending on the work?
this question is prompted by me wondering where the new publishing trend of what seems like a lot of unrelated book series having titles along the lines of
"The [blank] of [blank] and [blank]"
with me wondering where it came from, and if it is based off of one book series that everyone else is trying to copy, if its something publishers are pushing, or a mix of both.
so, as a fun little interactive post:
What's your current WIP document title,
Are you planning on changing the title after editing
what would the title be if you formatted it in "The [blank] of [blank] and [blank]" style?
I just decided to also serve as a prompt maker, as really, I might need ideas but, for others, I often prove to be helpful. SO, requests are open! I'll post now and then, notes and prompts and writing help, for myself and others. Join in if you'd like!

Actually romanticising my life or at least certain points of it, makes it much much better. Reading, but do it with candles, a good hot chocolate, a nice surrounding: Much better. Studying but do it with good music and surroundings? Hell yeah. Taking a walk but it's in autumn and you can see the many colours swirling around your boots? Yas.
Slay life.
Anyone else just casually scrolling whump prompts and listening to Michael Bublé's Christmas album?
It ain't my holiday but damn do I feel like celebrating. And writing christmas whump..
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm... might share some ideas with you all later.
Have a holly jolly (and totally hinged) christmas~ 🎄 😁
Aight so before I'm starting to read the duet I bought, I still have Threads of Power here and I'm just....
Should I read it now? Should I leave it for later? What if I can't stand the ending? What if it shatters my whole world from the first books? What if I actually do not like it?
Kinda scared to be honest, but it has to happen sometimes. And since it's the same universe.. Gotta look, yea?
This feels like a warm up to a work out.
It's a bit difficult to find the right font size on my ebook-reader, though. I've been diagnosed partially blind and to not tire my functioning eye out, I need to make the font much bigger than normal. That makes the pages go up like crazy on my epub, and sometimes it's a bit demotivating.
Let's see!
