Setting everything up you smiled seeing that your living room looked comfortable and cozy for your evening. Jumping slightly you went to your kitchen and pulled the bag with, now done popcorn, from microwave and with smile on your face you turned off the light in the kitchen and went back to living room, only to scream at the sight of the tall man, dressed in suit, sitting on your couch with straight face, looking at the state of your apartment. Hearing your cream he looked at you with raised eyebrow and somehow amused expression.

With one hand gripping the doorframe, you pushed the other with popcorn bag to your heart, looking at him with eyes wide open.

“Holly fuck, I almost got a heart attack!” Man looked in direction of your TV, unamused at your words.

“You didn’t. Trust me, I would know.” Groaning quietly at his words, you came to your couch and putted the bag with the popcorn on the table and looked at him, expecting some king of explanation from him.

“What do you want, hmm? I quit the hunting, live a healthy life, have a regular job and don’t contact with the Winchesters, nor demons, nor angels anymore.” He didn’t say anything, still looking around. Sighing you sat next to him and leaned your head on the back of the couch, looking at the celling. “Please, don’t tell me that it’s the day. I certain don’t want to die today… on the other hand… it would mean that I don’t have to deal with my boss anymore…” You stopped hearing his chuckle.

“I didn’t came here for work, you may be calm.” You looked at him, tilling your head and furrowed your brow.

“Then why DID you came here for?” He sat more comfortably and looked at you with slight smile on his face.

“Believe me of not, but eternal living can be boring sometimes.” “And you thought that I can entertain you?”

“I thought that you may be willing to accompany me this evening.” You sat straight looking at him as if he was crazy.

“And what do you want me to do? I was about to watch a movie.” “Good. It may be interesting.” You looked at him with wide eyes, internally asking yourself how you ended in situation like this?

You were friends with The Winchesters, just like your father was with their dad. You helped them in many hunts, always coming the worst from it, but your worst, most stupid decision was when you decided to help them stop the apocalypse. That’s when you meet this guy. The one and only Death, the horseman and the only being who is able to kill the God himself. He did treated you differently than the boys, being gentleman and stuff like that, but you always had the feeling that there is something more behind his actions.

And your assuming turned out right, when one evening, after the rough hunting which contained the really pissed werewolf, you came home, bleeding form the gaping whole which was in your stomach, only to find him, sitting on your motel bed, with furrowed brow and cold eyes. He did healed you then, scolding you in his calm voice that you have to quit hunting, or he will be the one to take a grip of your soul and rip it from your dying body, in the most painful way possible, as he took it. And you did listened to him, not really interested in a slow, painful death. It was a mystery why he did that to you, he never cared to explain himself in that matter, but you were grateful for this. You missed the hunting, but your new life was much calmer and somehow better than the hunter one, so you stayed like that, completely cutting yourself off from your past.

And now you were here, with Death himself sitting on your couch, surrounded by your puffy blankets and pillows, with bags of popcorn and chips on the table and the really unhealthy amount of soda on the ground beneath the said table. It looked really odd and hilarious at the same time.

Massaging your temples you sighed and looked at him once more, only to find him looking at you with some kind of impatience in his eyes.

“Fine, just let me change into something more comfortable. And… could you please, take off your jacket? It’s nothing personal, but you look ridiculous, dressed like that.” Going to your bedroom, you missed smile which appeared on Death’s face at your words.

After you changed into your pajamas, which was pair of sweatpants and a simple shirt with Cthulhu on it, you came back to your living room, to find Death without of his jacket and tie, with two first buttons of his shirt undone. He looked so comfortably on your couch, with blanked on his legs, that you may have mistaken him with a regular human being… shaking your head, you came to him ready to sit down, only to groan when you heard the doorbell of your apartment.

“Who the hell want’s something at this time of night?”

“It has to be pizza.” You looked at Death with gaped mouth.

“You… ordered pizza? But… it may take at least half hour before they would deliver it.”

“I ordered it, before I showed up.” That sneaky bastard! You though taking your wallet and coming to answer the doors, totally obvious to Death right behind you. Opening the doors you stood face to face with really nice looking guy, who smiled at you, winking and holding up four pizza boxes.

“Is it (y/n) (y/l/n)? I have a delivery.” You smiled back at the guy, taking boxes from him and putting them on the table next to the doors before reaching to your purse.

“Yeah. How much?” He smiled leaning to you.

“$23.50. But you may give me your number as a tip.” He winked again, at which you rolled your eyes and gave him the money.

“I will stand by the pizza, but thanks. Bye.” You closed the doors at his face and took the boxes coming back into the living room. Death looked at you with raised eyebrows. You placed the boxes at the table and sat beside him. “So, what do you want to watch?” You turned in your TV and got to Netflix, scrolling through movies.

“I have no opinion. You choose.” Shrugging you played the Saw and covered yourself with the blanket, taking one of the pizza boxes on your laps and opening it, only to smile at the sight of your favorite (f/p/k) pizza.

“How did you knew?” “You ordered just the same when we first meet.” You looked at him shocked that he remembered such a petite thing about you, but he haven’t noticed that, reaching for one slice and looking at your TV, amused at what’s happening in the movie. You leaned against his side, laying your head on his shoulder, trying how far can you get with that. Apparently far enough, because he moved his arm, so he was holding you to his side, settling himself comfortably, not even moving his eyes of the screen. You felt faint blush appearing on your face, and suddenly you were more than happy that he was more interested in the movie than you.

Much later, you were watching the fifth part of the series when death noticed how deep your breath became. He looked down at you, only to smile at your sleeping expression. Through whole marathon, the two of you changed positions and now he was half laying on your couch, with your head on his chest, your hands around his slim body, his on your shoulders and the small of your back, both of you covered with your blanket. One of your pillows was under his head while the others were laying on the ground, like the empty pizza boxes, bags from chips and empty soda bottles. In short, your living room was a mess, and the two of you were right in middle of it.

Gently moving your hair from your face, death looked at you for a while before he moved carefully, not to wake you, and took you in his arms and moved to your room, where he placed you on the bed and tucked you in, making sure that you are comfortable and warm, before he straightened he took one last look at your face and once again removed hair of it, only to bow his head and delicately peck your warm, soft lips with his cold ones. As quick as he did that, he got up and moved to take his things and leave, but was stopped by your hand taking hold of his sleeve. Somehow shocked Death looked at your slightly opened eyes.

“Don’t you dare to leave now.” Crouching down he pecked your forehead.

“I will turn off the TV and get right back.” Nodding you closed your eyed letting go of his shirt and letting him go back into the living room.

With just a mere movement of his hand, Death made whole mess disappear from the room and the TV turned off. Death reached for his jacket but stopped thinking about what you just said. You wanted him to stay, God you cuddled to him and fall asleep on his chest, knowing what he was and what he have done. Death swallowed hard thinking about what to do. The tomorrow morning may get really awkward, but on the other hand, he may miss the chance he wanted for so long to came.

Now, standing in your dark and quiet apartment, Death was able to hear your deep rhythmical breaths and your heartbeat and cursing at himself he leaved his jacket at the chair he hanged it earlier this evening and made his way back to your room. May he be dammed, but he is not going to think about the consequences, not this time. He has the whole eternity to scold himself for falling for a human, but now, in your bed, with you hugging him and smiling through your sleep, he is going to live that moment. Because that’s what it is. Your whole life is just a moment for him, but hell, it’s a moment worthy of the worst penalties.
