Some horse pictures for you, @missbamf
We had great weather today, so I was able to take some pictures of Endor, the stable owner’s horse. This is the horse, I’m allowed to ride whenever I want to. He’s a little rascal sometimes, but also really sweet.

#baby tortoises ^^ #good news
There hadn’t been one single baby tortoise sighting in more than a century on the Galapagos Island of Pinzon, until a small group of the tiny, shelled youngsters were spotted this year.
The recent births are helping to pull the critically endangered animals back from the brink of extinction after they were nearly laid to waste as a result of human activity.
This is huge news for a species that has been struggling to survive for a century, relying on humans raising young tortoises bred in captivity until they are large enough to not fall prey to rats and predators.
My favorite head canon is that Mcgonagall actually had a pet cat that looks EXACTLY like her animagus form and lets it wander around Hogwarts to put all her coworkers on edge
The Good in People Makes the hairs stand up on my arms and neck sometimes…
On January 10th A pod of eleven killer whales, a family of 2 adults and 9 juveniles were discovered trapped in the ice of the Hudson bay off the coast of the small inuit village of inukjuak. Confined for two days in the small breathing hole that was shrinking by the day, the whales began to panic as they tried unsuccessfully to find another breathing hole and their way to sea.
While an icebreaker ship would typically be brought in to free the orcas, the closest crew was thirty six hours away, so the villagers decided to cut a half mile of holes for the killer whales to travel through to get them to open water.
