Hey! Its so nice that you're willing and able to do this. I'll recommend some that I have personally used/donated to: Islamic Relief: I donate to their efforts every year. They're raising for Palestine, Yemen, Philippines, Afghanistan and so much more. I like their level of transparency, especially around the operational issues in getting aid to places like Palestine and how they prepare for such scenarios.

E-sims for Gaza: Israel has cutoff all internet, cellular, and landline services in Gaza. This has made communication in/out of Gaza extremely difficult and so Mirna El-Helbawi decided to set up this amazing program to get e-sims in the hands of journalists and people so they can maintain comms with the outside world. I have personally sent numerous e-sims and suggest Simly's app. Its super easy to use and you can have insight into when the e-sim is activated and used. They offer essential/life saving healthcare services on the ground as well as an amazing hunger relief program. They're also very transparent and have been operating on the ground since the 90s.

Save the Children, Friends of the Congo, and World Food Program are some other great/trusted charities to donate to.

I do think it's kinda weird that the common response to "polyamorous people are oppressed" is laughter and ridicule. As if the societal status quo doesn't enforce monogamy, as if straying from monogamy isn't punished or treated badly, as if hatred of polyamory isn't always acted out with homophobia, transphobia, fatphobia and racism. I think it's funny that someone will be like "the nuclear family is bad" can see that society forces the concepts of straight/cis good but gay/trans bad, but can't for a second believe monogamy is part of all that. It's just very silly.

It amazes me how the National Park Service is the most vocal department against Fascism. Even the Democrats are a mumble when compared to these park rangers' adamant denouncement and exposing of this administration. Support our bravest federal workers who keep our world one worth living in.

As an older fictive who has been entrenched in kin and system communities, there is one takeaway above all else that I wish for the younger crowds to understand. Wanting friends who understand your experiences, or even who share a source, is a valid reason to reach out and connect with others, but you must be wary of those who may be close for this reason alone. You deserve to be known for who you are as well as were, and if you find someone demanding that you only conform to an image of you they've built in their head- RUN. Similarly, expect people you meet to be more than the image you may have made in your head. We are people, the entire point of a new life is to be someone new. Allow yourself and others to grow into that.
