Holdup I’m cooking here. Ralsei doesn’t have a traditionally assigned gender, he just uses he/him and is a boy because the prophecy says a PRINCE from the dark, not a PRINCESS. After going through a character arc of realizing he is his own person without the prophecy, he would eventually realize he doesn’t need to be a boy anymore and transition/detransition to be a girl. Basically Ralsei is a trans woman (assigned male at prophecy, IDs as a girl)
