Hi Minnie! Do you or any of your followers have a stucky fic written the past one or two years or so that reeeaaaalllyyy stuck with you for one reason or another? I’m always the one who accidentally misses great fics until years later! (I’ve read lots of great new ones too and I’m so grateful for all of you amazing writers, but you know, considering my history surely there are lots more out there that I’ve just failed to find yet!) 😊
Hello sweetheart! What an excellent ask, thank you for this! 💕 I am also always missing out on masterpieces because I can't keep up or lose track of newly posted fic, so I really hope maybe some others might have additional recommendations that I haven't read yet and can go check out 👀
But as for me, here are a few that are fairly recent (not all from the last two years but ugh, time flies!) that I have loved and think about often! I Wanna Live in the Hidden Parts of Your Skin by Voylitscope_speed / @voylitscope (and so many of their other fics, all of them are 10000 worth a read!)
I also think about Another Song, Another Spring by @somanywords allll the time, it's such a comfort fic for me!! Definitely check it out if you haven't yet.
Obsessed with everything @dharmasharks writes, but this one is recent and it was just so damn gorgeous! Tried to drift but don't know how
And the other day, I finally read Truth Or Consequences, New Mexico by RecoveringTheSattelites / @thisonesatellite which was just such a brilliant Western AU that I highly recommend! I have also heard amazing things about their most recent fic tomorrow never knows, that I have not read yet but am very much looking forward to!
Oh, and I also recently read There but for Fortune Go I by StrungoutonStucky / @onecontinuoussigh which was amazing and a fic l'll be thinking about for a long while!

Anyway I had a lot of fun with the last one so I decided to do another photo study and I fucking regret it so much. Shiny objects my detested.
Quick sketch of my boy Bucky Barnes. Inspired by @tempestaurora’s beautiful fic, “Let me be buried under your name”.
I am such a sucker for them exchanging dog tags. It’s very tiny but you can see Bucky wearing Steve’s tags here.
That fic single handled gave me a stucky resurgence and I love it so much. If you haven’t, seriously go read it.

“That looks broken,” Bucky says, with a nod at the stranger's face.
“I’m fine,” the man glowers.
Bucky can't help but smile at his surliness. “Whatever you say, lone ranger.”
It takes another moment, but eventually, the cracks a tiny smile of his own. He wipes his hand on his faded jeans and holds it out to Bucky. “Steve,” he says.
Ignoring the residual blood, Bucky takes the proffered hand, which is big and warm. “Nice to meet ya, Steve,” he offers with a crooked grin. “Name’s Barnes. James Barnes. But of course, everyone calls me Bucky.”

I've always loved 70s rock and classic country music (Eagles, America, Glenn Campbell, The Byrds, The Band, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Aliotta Haynes Jeremiah, Bread etc.) and been a little obsessed with the vibes of so many of the songs in these genres. A while ago, when I was listening to Peaceful Easy Feeling and heard the lyrics,
"I wanna sleep with you in the desert tonight / With a billion stars all around"
&
"I get this feeling I may know you / As a lover and a friend",
and was inspired (possessed) to write a Shrunkyclunks AU, so… voilà. Bonus points to whoever can spot all the lyric references in this one lol.
