literally everyone at the academy didn’t wanna talk to jayce because he constantly had that energy of “autistic guy who REALLY wants to tell you about his special interest” but because his special interest was illegal he would just never mention it and instead stand in the corner at parties and if you tried to talk to him he wouldn’t respond properly because he’s busy thinking of hextech, but again, illegal, so he just wouldn’t pay attention to you and if you asked why he would stare blankly at you and say “huh? oh sorry continue”
viktor is even WORSE at parties but his lack of bitches was more due to classism and not personality defects. despite that, when jayce and viktor got together everyone at the academy breathed a collective sigh of relief that their two least eligible bachelors were finally taken OFF the market for good, and only at the price of like 2 explosions

Heroes of Olympus except when Leo gets to Calypso’s island he freaks out that this random lady has fallen for him and doesn’t want him to leave.
So Leo just panics and says he’s gay.
And once he starts talking it doesn’t stop. He makes up this very convincing story about his boyfriend that’s waiting for him back home.

Because yes he based the mystery guy of his dreams that he’s totally in love with on his best friend.
And somewhere along the lines realises oh shit I love Jason for real.

i just realized a similarity between jayce & jinx (and someone can correct me on this), but they both have been shown to have mental issues, hearing voices telling them what they should do and that are bothering them.
however, we never hear the voices of their partners. jinx never hears the voice of ekko when things are too bothersome for her. jayce never hears viktor’s voice in that cave.
and ekko and viktor literally kept them from falling off the edge. they reminded jayce & jinx of what they dreamed of since they were little (viktor renewing jayce’s passion for creating magic, ekko reigniting jinx’s dream of riding on one of those airships). it really does just take one person to care and jinx and jayce had that person be there for them at their lowest, and still deemed them beautiful.
If Haymitch finally broke down after the war and told Katniss and Peeta about his games and Maysilee and Lenore Dove..... and that her father is the one who told him where her grave was...
Do we think, that when the time came, Katniss and Peeta made sure to bury haymitch next to Lenore Dove...

just having the the stark realization that the failed act of rebellion was 24 years before katniss volunteered. that begs the question of whether or not there were more attempts. did johanna suffer the same fate as haymitch? did the capitol lie and say she was hidden the entirety of her games because she was given a similar (failed) assignment from beetee? did they have to erase countless hours of footage? edit things to make it seem like she was never where she actually was, simply hidden away from the chaos? how many mockingjay figures did they cycle through before landing on katniss? how many did they cycle through before the revolution actually began?

Even his hand is trembling 😭 Jayce "I'm ready to kill because you asked me" Talis the same Jayce who went spiraling when he saw enforcers killed because of his decisions, who accidently killed a kid and tried to make peace with the undercity to prevent more death..
it’s more than that. i’ve been outdone. not only does jayce kill viktor, viktor tells him to do it AND they still get to commit gay double suicide later too 🥹 it’s beautiful

“Where is his cane? He can’t walk without his cane—“ Jayce babbles frantically as he rummages through the rubble. His fingers bleed, and his breath is uneven—he’s close to sobbing, and tears are, frankly, obscuring his vision, but he pays it no mind. It doesn’t matter. Nothing matters—nothing but him, in that damned chamber.
Mel watches him, and her chest constricts. She places a gentle hand on Jayce’s shoulder, but it does little to nothing to snap him out of his single-minded pursuit.
“Jayce—“
“He— Oh god, when he wakes up, he will be so mad,” Jayce attempts a laugh, rubbing his eyes. They sting—from both the dust and tears. Mel keeps silent, not daring to interrupt. She can’t. Not when Jayce has that desperate, panicked look inched into his features.
“Yes!” Jayce exclaims finally, noticing the glare of the shiny tip of the cane. He has designed it, after all—he would recognize it anywhere. “I- God, I put it somewhere once—in the lab, and he—“ Jayce goes through the memories, not caring of the tears and sheer desperation that radiates off him. He grasps the cane, pulling it out of the rubble—it’s a little chipped, but nothing he can’t fix for Viktor.
Just like him - the thought flashes through his mind, and Jayce shudders.
"Came back wrong" trope but actually the character came back right. A character who, when they were living, hid and changed so many parts of themself around others to appease them and, when they died and came back, they stopped doing so and started living as who they always have been. But everyone thinks they came back wrong because of how different they are
