in addition to the fact that people just have different natural rhythms, a big reason why we can’t seem to go to bed as early as we “should” is that nighttime is, for many of us, our safest and most fulfilling time of day. we don’t have to work, we won’t be contacted by bosses or insurance companies or collections agencies or other suffocating life business… we’re likely only to be contacted by our friends, or by no one at all. night time is release; it’s ours. we can rest or recreate. we can do things we actually want to do. who would choose to cut that short?? just to usher in the next morning when our lives are not our own again? nighttime is precious and nothing could be more normal than the desire to embrace this

Y’all know when Mulan is sitting in the rain and watches her parents silhouette disappear as the candle is blown out and then her eyes squint in determination and the music that starts to play and you see her go into the family temple and light a match and bow in respect and then sneak into her parents room and switch the scroll for her hair brooch and then the way her reflection is shown as she pulls the sword and cuts her hair?? It’s literally more iconic than any marvel movie

Why empaths love differently

🌙 Empaths crave deep and meaningful relationships.

🌙 They value trust and authenticity more than an average person.

🌙 Empaths don’t like small talk. They long for deep conversations and they want to be able to share their thoughts and feelings with their partner and that their partner shares their inner world with them.

🌙 Empaths are a sponge for other people’s emotions and energies. They need a partner who has an aura and energy that isn’t draining for the empath.

🌙 Empaths are honest, very honest. They can’t fake things. They will honestly tell you how they feel and what’s on their mind. This deepens and tightens the relationship because the relationship will be pure and authentic.

They need to find a balance between giving and receiving in a relationship, so they do not give more love, affection and energy than they receive from their partner because that would make them feel drained and tired.
