Oh my gosh I'd love to see the fellowship at a gas station! Merry and Pippin would get the weirdest and most tooth rotting snacks. Boromir (ultimate cool dad friend) is staring out the window getting angrier and angrier as he watches all the transport trucks that he just spent 4 hours passing drive ahead of them. Frodo got left behind because while Boromir was rushing everyone to the car, he was still standing at the travel book shelves, reading the sumeries for every single one trying to pick a good one for the rest of the trip. Sam was waiting with him.Gandalf didn't notice that they weren't there because he was asleep in the car and no one wanted to wake him.

And Pippin and Merry see a cute dog in a motorcycle side-car, and after jumping in to pet it, they get accidentally kidnapped by a biker gang, who don't realize they're there until three states later
