Morning cuddle hcs!

David ver.

Angel usually sleeps either on top of David - their head on his chest with one arm around his side, or as the little spoon with David hugging them from behind. They need to be touching each other in some way while sleeping, otherwise neither of them would sleep well.

David would always wake up first - he’s an early riser, much to Angel’s chagrin. He would tighten his grip on Angel, burying his nose in their hair as he took a few deep breaths. He treasures the morning stillness. He’d stroke their hair for a few minutes before waking them up with soft kisses all over their face. Angel would stir and open their eyes to David’s warm smile. He’d kiss them on the lips with a low “good morning, Angel”, and Angel would grin at the way they can feel his chest rumble as he spoke. They’d bury their face in his chest and snuggle for a bit as well.

On days where Angel fell asleep on top of David, David would simply wrap his arms around them and sit up. Due to their height difference, it was easy for him to just sit up while they were still on him. Angel would whine and protest, saying it’s too early, and he’d let out a chuckle, kissing their cheek and rubbing their back for a little bit as they buried their face in the crook of his neck.

Sometimes he’d just keep Angel on him and fully stand up, holding them up like a koala as he walked them to the kitchen to start their day.

On weekends he’d allow himself to stay in bed for longer. He’d still wake up first though and use this time to watch Angel as they slept, gently moving a stray strand of hair out of their face. He loves these mornings. Again, he’d softly kiss Angel awake and they’d talk for a little bit as they start really waking up. When they’d be ready to get out of bed, he’d roll on top of them, propping himself up on his elbows, and take his time to kiss their lips and cheek some more. Angel would have their arms wrapped around his neck. After one last kiss on their forehead, they’d both get out of bed and enjoy the weekend ahead of them <3

I feel like Doc js goes on with their day and by the end of the day they somehow have like 3 different tiny cuts on their fingers and a bruise on the hip. From where? Who knows, they don’t even remember how it happened 🤷

David carries all the bags when he and Angel go shopping, opens the door for them, and walks on the outside of the path next to the cars.

He will happily swap shoes if they give them blisters, and if this makes his feet hurt he doesn’t care and he won’t show it either. (Picture the gruff man in heels lol)

He always gives Angel his jacket when they’re cold, and likes to hold their hand and put it in his jacket pocket in the winter.

He does all the cooking.

He will always be the one driving.

He’ll pick them up late at night if they go drinking with the other mates.

Angel likes having David in their lap when they relax on the sofa

They like giving little scratches to his scalp and feeling his hair

Whenever they do skincare, they’ll chase David down and do it on him too

Picture both of them with face masks on

Angel is the navigator in the car and will direct David where to go

Angel is the one that gives David ideas of what to cook, even though they can’t make it themself

Angel has sudden bursts where they do all the chores and deep clean the whole house and will remain fixated on it until it’s done

David is confused as to why they’re so motivated all of a sudden, but doesn’t complain and even joins in

Angel gives David back and shoulder massages often

Angel often knows what David wants before he even realises it himself
