Louis and Harry sing about so many different sides to their love but I think, what's so lovely is that they speak of a gentle, patient love that's worth it. Reassuring. One where they see each other at their vulnerable, their ugly, their lows and highs and still consider it worth it. Because that just how real love is. Not easy but worth it and it needs commitment and patience and it's a theme that shines in their music.

also harry is brilliant in the scene where drunk tom waits for patrick, telling him he never only wanted to paint him in the first place and crying. thereâs rawness and openness and vulnerability in the way he portrays tomâs turmoil, the way heâs so scared of himself, of who he is and of what he wants but precisely that he wants anyway, the pain of facing himself and the desire to turn away and keep up the silence, the thunder raging inside of him overflowing to the surface, âfrighteningâ like turnerâs painting, itâs beautifully devastatingly and absolutely believably done

âI still donât get why you bother with that chunky muggle thing, we canât even move in those photographs!â
âYou know,â Lilyâs sweet tone was betrayed by the roll of her eyes. âItâs nostalgic, and I canât really expect Mum and Dad to frame wizard photos.â
âWhy not? We keep that horrible vase your sisterâs given us, they can keep something of ours.â
âYou know,â she starts again, âMuggles donât usually keep moving pictures around, now I wouldnât be opposed to that, but that would mean sheâd have to hide it⊠and I donât think Mum would want to hide any of us.â
James straightens his back. âYeah, youâre right, we make too good of a family to keep it to ourselves. The Muggles deserve to see the handsomest of them all.â
That makes Lily giggle and peck her husband on the cheek. She reaches for the polaroid camera that lay discarded on the coffee table, James never figured out how to work it.
âSmile!â She exclaims, and right before the camera clicks, James starts tickling the small baby sitting on his lap. Lily rejoices, sure she must have caught the moment.
âMum and Dad are going to love this.â
James stands up, Harryâs head resting on his chest as he recovers from the attack. âI bet, theyâre going to make a right fuss as soon as they see how much this little guyâs teeth have grown. Is that right, Haz? Is grandma going to send another letter complaining about how we never bring you over so she can smother you in peace?â He speaks in an exaggerated silly voice that makes Harry laugh and reach for Jamesâ face.
âOh, please, at least they donât yell! If I get another howler over breakfast from Euphemia telling me we need to visit soon and bring Harry because they have more gifts for himâŠâ
âHey, leave her be! You know she gets lonely, alone with Dad in that big house, her two kids away ââ
âTalking about her kids,â interrupts Lily, waving the polaroid near her face. âIs Padfoot dropping by soon?â
Harry seems to perk at the mention of his Godfather. âPaâfoo?â He asks, big green eyes travelling from his mother back to his father.
âYeah, yeah, your beloved will be here soon,â says James, talking to Harry rather than Lily. âI still canât believe that was his first word.â He mutters that to himself.
Mere moments later, the telltale roar of Siriusâ motorbike can be heard from outside their home, and the familiar sound makes Harry clap and laugh in anticipation.
âTalk of the devilâŠâ utters James, but he was smiling from ear to ear.
Lilyâs eyes roll back as she watches her husband excitedly go for the door. She follows them and crosses her arms, leaning against the wall with what sheâs sure is a sickeningly sweet look; watching her son smile big and squish Siriusâ cheeks in his tiny hands whenever his Godfather picks him up does that to her.
âHeard from a little birdie that little Bambi was missing his Paâfoo?â Sirius coos while kissing one of Harryâs hands, and Lily was sure that if she tried telling any of their old classmates the Tall, Dark and Handsome Sirius Black actually spends at least three days of the week making a baby voice for her son, theyâd say she was mental. Oh, yeah, theyâd require proof to believe that.
Struck by an idea, she makes her way back to the coffee table and picks up the discarded muggle camera before quickly walking back and snapping a picture of the scene. Sirius, noticing the click, finally stops fussing over Harry and turns to Lily.
âI hope thatâs not your muggle rubbish, Evans,â he jokes and Lily laughs freely because she knows he doesnât mean any of it. âI want proper pictures of this baby here, need this charming smile in my wallet to balance the dadâs ugly face.â
âIâm afraid youâll have to make do,â she retorts and shakes the fresh picture as James makes an indignant noise. âAnd itâs âPotterâ now, you of all people should know, best man.â
âYeah, yeah, sure, let me see that.â Sirius dismisses the conversation when he notices the picture developing.
Soon, all three of them are looking fondly at the blurry photograph in Lilyâs hand and Sirius takes it before turning his attention back to Harry, who had started crying out for him.
âYou knowâŠâ whispers James, âWe are going to use wizard film for my parents. No this isnât up for debate! Mum will skin me alive if I send her still, blurry pictures of her grandson â hey, stop laughing!'
god, words cannot stress how much i miss this dude and his boisterous laughter
