I love the strawhats and Luffy because upon initially meeting Luffy all of them develop this idea that the reason he expresses love and trust so openly must be a reflection of constant and effortless affection he must have received growing up. It’s just another way that he’s naive. In a way we’re all kinda led to believe that as well. We see flashes into his past where he’s only ever thought about, cared about, protected, and loved…

But then Marineford.

We start to develop an image of this crying, lonely abandoned boy who just wants friends. This little boy willing to put himself into harms way over and over and over and over again because he just can’t live and be alone….he’s desperate and weak and he has to watch horrible unfair things happen to the people he cares about while all he does is cry and cry and cry because all he can think about is how unfair it all is, and how weak he must be, and how he’s alone again because he’s just so young.

Suddenly the clouds part, and the secret of Luffy love is revealed….

He’s just as desperate as they all were. He needed protection and care and love the same way everyone else did, and he also never really got it consistently. He’s the same lonely crybaby they all were…but he did something different about it.

He was going to be the person that never died, never lost, never ignored, and always cared. He would never leave, never falter, never give up. He would never let the unfairness he faced happen to anyone else.

While the other strawhats batted down the hatches, built walls around their hearts to protect themselves from pain, Luffy tore down any rickety old fence that might have begun construction, planted pretty flowers along a disorganized stone pathway, all made his heart look as inviting and warm as it was.

Say what you want about Nami or Sanji or Chopper or any of them, but the member of the crew who’s the actually most desperate for love and care is Luffy. He’d rather leave himself totally vulnerable than put up anything resembling a wall.

Heard something about how girls talk about how men, instead of asking them to move out of the way, will just move them out of the way like an object. Which i tend to do, actually. I feel a bit bad about it now but on the bright side its with everyone. I don't know why but i find it easier to just move someone or just pat their shoulder or back multiple times to get them to move. Or even just try to squeeze through. Anything besides just saying "excuse me". Not sure why i do it, maybe because I'm too used to having to squeeze through places since my brothers are all huge so if i always had to say "excuse me" or "move" or "can you move" id just always have been saying it. That got me thinking so i might make a scenarios fic about that

And I was maybe hoping it could follow a scenario where the crew experiences a collision with other pirates/marines/someone evil lol, and she much prefers to help them- disregarding her health (as she experiences the migraine) which leads to a near death experience/injury. Overall saved, though scaring the crew half to death with her stubbornness will.

hate that fuck ass clown. Sorry to all the Shuggy lovers but i keep trying to find shanks fanart and theyre all just shuggy shit and i HATE that fuck ass clown 😭. It sucks sm bc childhood friends is a ship trope i adore but i just hate buggy so much that its ruined for me. He was a fucking cunt in the roger pirates then acts as if Shanks "betrayed" all of them just because he didnt want to go for the one piece. Like fuck you i hate him so much. Not only that! It gets worse! He was raised in a loving environment with Shanks as his friend and the Roger pirates who were all good people and despite ALL THAT grew up to be a horrible fucking person anyway! He pillaged villages, killed civilians, and is terrible to his very own crew. He was fucking horrible to Luffy, to Shanks, to the Roger Pirates, to people, to even fucking Crocodile and Mihawk. Whatever they do to him is honestly deserved and I agree with Mihawk A THOUSAND PERCENT when the swordsman is like "You had the potential to be amazing like Shanks but let your patheticness make you turn out like this" Yet despite ALLLLL this Shuggy lovers are always all about SHANKS being the one having to chase after Buggy and it just being like.. a good thing? Like its not even "He's chasing after Buggy and i know its wrong" its like they treat Shanks like some dumb dog that wronged poor innocent Buggy and Shanks is the reason why Buggy's life went to shit. I feel so bad for him when Shanks is the one who's actually been truly suffering all this time and clearly has a fuck ton on his shoulders from what we've been learning yet every shuggy art i see its Shanks the one begging even in angst art its always him apologizing him doing this and that and never Buggy once realizing that "Oh shit..
