Let's all bake her a cake in the shape of IDM-5100 computer and sing her a song in hexadecimal code!! [cute]
Thank you, universe, for bringing her into the world, she is a goddess, she is a queen, she is an amazing and marvelous arcanist, hexadecimal girl, she is John Titorπ
She's been around for a year and she even has a new garment now! It's definitely a success, guys
I love her, please love John Titor

HUZAAAH she is finished. Honestly, when I had the idea for this art I felt like a goddamn genius. Blood flowing up like water does during the storm uuuu BIG BRAIN
πππ
It's a flavour of Monster, an energy drink
It's not sold in McDonald's ironically enough π
On another note, think of the profit of Picrasma energy drinks (and how much Vertin's liver will suffer π)
I am not a fan of the design. To the shredder.
Oh God you have no idea how many empty cans of that would be scattered around the suitcase. Like Lilya's alcohol consumption or Regulus Dr. Pepper (idk how that's actually written) addiction, girl has so many or those in her fridge, under her bed, in her pockets, under her hat.
Oh my God the suitcase has NEVER had such an outage in money because of Vertin's addiction to it.
It gets banned after a while (Madam Z wrote a letter to the distributors to stop making the drink, for Vertin's safety) and Vertin has to go back to eating candy when her almost unlimited amount of Picrasma Candy Energy drinks becomes limited.
And Tooth Fairy has never been filled with so much bottled rage before.
(Vertin did try to get in contact with the company who made them but they couldn't do any other Picrasma Candy Energy drinks because the foundation prohibited it)
imagine the timekeeper and her crew being stuck in the poolrooms liminal space for a couple of days instead of, like, the typical beach episode
I don't know much about liminal spaces, so I looked it up.
Liminal spaces can be physical locations, such as airports, train stations, elevators, stairwells, roads, corridors, or hotels. They can also be emotional, such as a divorce, or psychological, such as puberty or menopause. Liminal spaces can also be metaphorical, such as a decision. Liminal spaces are meant to be temporary and can involve both positive and negative effects. They can evoke feelings of eeriness or discomfort because they are not meant for staying, but rather for passing through. Liminal space imagery often depicts transitional places that are unsettlingly devoid of people, and the aesthetic may convey moods of eeriness, surrealness, nostalgia, or sadness.
Since these influence emotions, arcanists might have stronger reaction to being placed in a liminal space. I think Vertin would hate it since it evokes feelings she doesn't like addressing, but she'll carry on as always. The tunnels under the Foundation and the Labyrinth under the Walden would also be considered liminal spaces and being trapped in another liminal space might get under her skin since she's lost people in both instances. On another note, a place devoid of people with only echoes of the past would upset her since that's what her fate is as Timekeeper. She gets left behind while everyone is taken by the Storm.
I think liminal spaces would trigger Sonetto's separation anxiety so bad. The Timekeeper will be in her sights at all times.
The horror crew would love it though! They'll want to shoot a whole damn movie. Jessica will be a water monster for the film. The water lovers likes Vila and La Source won't be particularity bothered either since water is a net positive for them.
Yenisei's ability will be crucial here and she will be the one who gets them out of the space.
The crew investigating an abandoned mall would also be pretty neat.
If the suppression of emotions and memories can cause memory loss, then there's a slight possibility that it may be one of the reasons why Urd can barely remember. We're not sure yet what Urd has truly gone through but I don't think being Reversed and braving the storm and surviving all the same can lead to anything good and her past is still a mystery to be uncovered.
So possibly it's not just because of the side effects of surviving the storm but also suppressing memories and deep emotions of what she'd gone through is the cause of her amnesiac state. It's an interesting thought to say the least.
Also this implies that there's a slight chance of Vertin slowly losing her memories due to blocking and suppressing strong emotions. Which could not only deal some good heavy angst but also parallel Urd's own if she truly is her mother.
This previous post I made helps flesh out their dynamics but I want to talk about how the two could fall in love with each other. It might help put the rest of this post in perspective.
Perhaps Schneider didn't fall in love with Vertin per say, but she saw what they could be. What if she saw enough to say that one day she'd fall in love with this person if she had the chance. Vertin didn't have a long time with Schneider, but in their short time she displayed everything Schneider wished for. It's about impact rather than time, especially since they met in extraordinary circumstances.
So going off of that, if Schneider feels that one day Vertin will be someone special to her due to her character...
Why can't they start right now? Does love have to be done in a specific order for it to be real? Schneider herself is a rather unconventional person so, perhaps this line of thought isn't weird for her.
One day'll fall she'll fall in love with Vertin, so what's wrong with indulging in their relationship now? Whether it's after the first date or 10 dates, if they end up together then why not love each other from now?
That is to say, she doesn't love Vertin; she loves the Vertin she'll inevitably fall in love with the down the line.
Time is short. She has shit to do. They can figure out the middle part along the way but she's looking at the end-game.
She loves the future they could have had together.
Unfortunately she also knows they don't have time to build that future.
As for Vertin, she isn't in love with Schneider either but she feels she could be. Vertin doesnβt know this is the last time she'll see Schneider and thinks in a more conventional sense where they'll get closer day by day. However, Vertin can't have anything "normal" so she's robbed of that possibility. She tries not to think about what ifs since she can't change anything, meaning she ruminates on the past and reality of the situation.
Vertin's fixated on the loss she suffered in the past.
Schneider focused on future she knows they can't have.
But, perhaps in a convoluted way, they started falling in love the moment they actually looked at each other in the hours before the Storm. When their visions aligned in the present.
at the end of the day, the main story is just arcana hating on lesbians and vertins polyclue
do you guys see my vision (?
Theopil, comma dead guy who appears in half a side story as a background character Isolde practically ignores after he runs away from her as a child from grief over Trista and her similarities to their mother, is genuinely one of my favs. Like top 3 at LEAST if not favorite. I care about the tragic and ignored Dittarsdorf very deeply unfortunately. Trista is the forgotten Dittarsdorf who haunts like a poltergeist still terrorizing those they hold a grudge against, but Theopil has been ignored by everyone since the start and thereβs so much more I could go on but I love him. My blorbo supreme I fear
