The Valravn breaks out
Animation Practice! I have not done real animation until the beginning of this year and it’s only been a few logo animations before my shoulder gave out. Now I’m more or less back and had this wild need to try and draw part of Zephyr’s transformation.
And guys.. I had FUN! oh my god this was a ton of fun! Kinda just did it all by gut feeling but I’m really proud of the outcome!
We need those tough emotions and feelings to survive life! But.. sometimes it can be a bit hard to control. Especially when ND or struggling with mental illnesses. In Zephyr’s case - some of these feelings triggers something much more … real… that needs to be controlled. And he probably would’ve liked to have avoided it all together.
But does he really?
“Be wary of those with a shadow split in two. Something lurk underneath the skin. Something dark.
Something… dangerous.”
heeey my shoulder is finally on the mend and finally in a place good enough for me to draw again without making it worse! It’s definitely not ready for hard work yet though, it’s been 4 months and it’s fragile and out of practice!
But oh my god it’s so good to hold my pen again and not feel my shoulder on fire. I’ve missed this so very very much.
By request, a Nattramn (night raven) The Nattramn is the ghost of a sinner who is cursed to rome the skies in the form of a raven. The only way for a nattramn to find peace is to find the tomb of christ. They can only fly at night.
Last catch-up #inktober for the night, then I’m off to bed. Day 26 is a Valraven, which is a danish raven who drinks the blood of fallen warriors. There were some interesting interpretations for these creatures and the most popular story about them sort of tells of a valraven transforming into a Knight after he is given an offering of a woman’s child in exchange of helping her find her husband lost at war. A bit reflective of the times I think… so I took a more winged man with raven wings and a raven headdress. #inktober #valraven #folklore #danishfolklore https://www.instagram.com/p/B4JmBR5B2Ak/?igshid=fojnvr10zz9o
Two pages I made for the Russian project “Mythbook III”, the final art-book in the series. Autor’s interpretation of the Scandinavian mythology. So many thanks to my friend Kahito for the help with the main illustration.
This a little story about pilots Harmund Becker (Archibald’s old squad-mate), Archibald Verneski and Artificial Intelligence “VALRAVN” (He belongs to Harmund). “VALRAVN” lost his mind and created his new body out of pieces of scrap-metal and human bodies. After this he wanted to change his pilots and to give them “a new live”, but these acts just killed them. P.S. It’s just a dark-AU, not a real part of my “Russian Roulette” story. All characters are alive.
