Hey, don't forget Orson Scott Card for this, too.
It's weird that to this day a lot of people don't really get the difference between like. "this author is a bad person and the work is problematic" normal style and the much more intense "the author is an important figure in a hate group and actively uses her money and power and fame to take away people's rights, and is currently very successful at doing that"
Unfortunately true. We can't let the perfect be the enemy of the good, as painful as it can be.
But we also can't stop pushing. Don't be satisfied with just small victories. Keep going!
I think more leftists need to recognize the gap between “this should happen eventually” and “this would be feasible to achieve in the near future”
Like, I’m an anarchist. And I think an ideal world would have no nation states or borders. But that’s not going to happen tomorrow, or next year, or for a long time
So while I wait, instead of endlessly hemming and hawing over what the would should look like, I try to focus on what I can do right now to improve the world in material ways and to lessen the suffering of others
She’s the heroine we all need!
Would you be okay with a plus sized women being Wonder Woman. Cause I really want to be her for Halloween but I’m afraid of how I’ll look
Of course. Why wouldn't I be?
We can all be Wonder Woman.
I mean, we all need a break sometimes, right?
reblog to give the person you reblogged this from a fucking break
There is a very special feeling of joy when you write a game, pour your heart and soul into it, then take it to a convention, and play it with a bunch of strangers... and they tell you that they want to play it next year! That's IT, right there. It's wonderful.
SO much validation!
This is really obvious, and yet...
Absolutely this! Shutting down art because people don't like it is a problem, period.
it's true and you should say it.
Once again Haiku bot brings a post that's well worth sharing.
Respect Ace people; respect people.
Okay, I realize this hilariously late for Asexuality Awareness Week (which was last week), but due to unforeseen stressors, it didn’t really get done in time.
Anyway! I’ve wanted to do something like this for a while, and I’m proud of myself of actually getting a six page comic done within a week. (Not that it’s really anything super fancy, but it’s better than nothing lol) I do apologize for the massive ugly text wall that is page four but I had a hard time figuring out how to convey it visually while being kind of pressed for time. oh and the occasional copy/paste, I’m sorry for that too
Enjoy! Click on the separate pictures if the text is hard to read.
Hey, why not?
Reblog this if it’s okay to DM you and shoot the friendship shot.
I don't have a lot of followers, but what the hell. Someone might need to hear it.
Reblog this when it’s on your dash. You will save someone’s life.
