“Hermione Granger! Why are you dressed like a sad, grey, bureaucrat? Have I taught you nothing?” Cried out Pansy walking into Hermione’s office at the Ministry.
“Because I am a sad, grey, bureaucrat.” She deadpanned. “Pansy Parkinson! We thought we’d lost you forever!” Hermione stood up from her desk to greet her friend with a tight hug.
“Ally was getting desperate. Orders have kept coming and, with Christmas approaching, I just couldn’t leave her alone. I just portkeyed in, I thought I’d stop by.” Pansy shrugged.
“Oh. Does that mean you’re just back temporarily?” Hermione frowned slightly.
“I’m still undecided. Lei Ailun is wonderful, but I miss you girls and my shop. I told him I didn’t know if I would go back. He didn’t push me either way.”
“Did you want him, to push you?”
“I don’t know. Maybe?” She sat down on one of the armchairs, elegantly crossing her legs at the ankles. “It would have been nice if he had tried to convince me to stay with him. But then, maybe, I would have found it overbearing. Oh well, I’ll just deal with the shop for now and see how things go.”
“I’m happy to see you, either way.”
“You, Ms Granger, are coming over to the shop the moment you clock off. I need to fix that mess.” She vaguely gestured to Hermione before she stood up and walked towards the door. “I’ll be waiting for you at quarter past five. I’ll contact the others and we can all meet afterwards. Does Greg still keep a table for us?”
“He actually put a brass plaque on our table. It says ‘Permanently reserved for The Troublesome Seven and friends’.” Hermione said with a laugh.
“That’s good, because we’ll need it.” And with that, she spun on her heels and marched towards the lifts.

Hermione walked into the conference room, every Head o Department stood to greet her and she replied and shook hands as she walked towards her chair at the head of the table. When she sat down everyone followed her example and the chatter died down.
“Good morning. As you all know, Mr Miles resigned and we are here to elect a new Head for the Department of International Magical Cooperation. We have two candidates to choose from, they will come in and present their views and ideas and then we will vote. Each of you has a copy of the candidates’ CVs. After the election we will have a round table discussion. We have many reforms going on at the same time and I think it wise to share information.” Hermione looked around the table at each Head of Department and then nodded to Eniiyi to let in the candidates.

Trailblazing & Stargazing - chapter 15
Hermione was thoroughly exhausted after a very long work day and hoped to be able to go home soon, but the education reform was too important, she had to see this through.
When she stepped out of the floo at Malfoy House, still wearing her work outfit, she was surprised to see Malfoy waiting for her and not Carson.
“Hello, Granger.” He said with his trademark smirk. “Are you done saving the Wizarding World for today?”
He was wearing a black suit with a crisp white Oxford shirt and a dark green tie. Hermione felt extremely self-conscious, she had come here straight from the Ministry and looked a mess.
“Honestly, Malfoy. I’m haggard, I could do without further bullying from you. I read your memo, I visited Eniiyi’s memory of the hearing, I really don’t need to be here unless you’re going to be civil.” She chided, taking her discomfort out on him.
“Calm down, Granger. I was just joking, not bullying.” He replied, raising his hands in surrender.
“Do. Not. Tell. Me. To. Calm. Down. Ever.” She growled.
“Fine, fine. I’m sorry. Let’s get some food into you, before you bite my head off.” He took her arm and lead her towards the dining room. "You look llovely, by the way. Green looks good on you"
She huffed but went along with him. Mostly because she was hungry and her fridge was empty, and she did like this outfit very much and she was glad someone had noticed it, even though she was aware that she looked anything but lovely and he was just being nice.

A little snippet from chapter 10, online now.
Just Pansy being sassy.
“Mini-Weasley, enough with the pre-teen drama, stand with your mother and hold her like you would for a waltz.”
Hugo gawked. “Why?!”
Hermione was perplexed, as well. “Why would he need to dance with me?” she asked.
Pansy sighed and rolled her eyes. “Now, Granger, I know you were brought up differently, but you’re supposed to be the brightest witch of our age, surely you have figured out, by now, that you are going to have to open the dances at the Gala.”
“Oh, surely someone else will.” She countered
“Granger, who opens the dances at a gala?” asked Pansy, slowly.
“The host or hostess.” Sighed Hermione.
“And where is this Gala being hosted?”
“At the Ministry of Magic.”
“And you are…?”
“The Minister of Magic.” She huffed.
“Yes, Granger. I’m very proud of you for figuring it out. Now, before you say anything else. No, you cannot open with your ex-husband, you just announced your divorce, that would be confusing. And no, not Potter either, he is your best friend but also a head of department, opening with him would imply that he is more important than the other heads. You cannot open with any guest for that same reason. Hence, your son is the best option. After the opening dance you can do whatever you like. Now, please stand close so that I can match your shades of blue. It was bad enough that stupid Malfoy didn’t tell me he would open the dancing with you and not his mother, made me look like an amateur.” Parkinson groaned.
A Dramione story, with a tiny Buffy the Vampire Slayer crossover (in the following chapters) inspired by the song 'It's Raining Men'
“Ladies!” said Pansy as she sat down in a plush, turquoise armchair at Sugar & Spice. “Did you see the Prophet yesterday? Skeeter went all out with her spiteful comments. She’s calling us troublesome! But it was good advertising. The shop was so busy today, I think I’m going to have to hire new clerks, and quite possibly double my sewing crew.”
“I had to ward the floo against Harry on Sunday! He kept calling, asking me to get back together.” Ginny scoffed. “He sent a bloody singing gnome while I was in a training session today. With flowers and a poem! Not even an original one, he basically plagiarized the one I wrote for him when I was eleven! I don’t know if it was more embarrassing or ridiculous. And then…” She paused for suspense. “He wrote me a letter, three sentences really, saying that we can wait till after the World Cup to have our first child! He still doesn’t get it!”
“Godric, he’s persistent! I’ll talk to him, Gin.” Hermione chuckled. “I received so many owls I lost count. From every man I’ve dated, save from Ron, including the ones who are now married!” She smirked. “I incedioed them all! I’m totally fed up with men. The toys I bought the other day can keep me happy for a while. I need to detox from all the drama and the paternalism.” She said rolling her eyes.
“Oh, those toys were a smart purchase! I tried the one that looks like a little bunny and it provided for a very entertaining hour. I can’t wait to try the others!” Luna giggled.
“A toast!” Laughed Pansy lifting her cappuccino. “To muggle sex toys and letting men stew in their own juice!” The others followed her example.
