Garden of Words

How beautiful the flowers, blossoming in spring, and withering in winter just to be reborn again. 

   How I wish to learn the language of such flowers, and the beauty within them.

Roses, Lilacs, and Camillias, can such flowers express my love to you?

  Surely these flowers in my throat shall choke me before I even have the chance to speak.

 Oh how I wish you felt the same way about me.

   Instead I wallow in self-pity, gasping for air everytime I see you.

Surely, Cyclamen and yellow carnations fits me better.

   For who shall ever love me with the understanding of these flowers.

If only my flower language could of been flowers of Roses, Lilacs, and Camillias, maybe then you could cure me of such a love sickness.

  If only I knew how to speak in the language of flowers, maybe then I could express my feelings in the

1. I used to get into lots of trouble for fighting and what not in school because anger issues~

2. I was basically raised at renaissance fair for how often my parents and I attended from my birth until I was about 6-7.

3. I once had plans to become a musician and/or actor until I realized my social anxiety was way too terrible, so I settled for doing art instead.

#dazai is so complex I swear. Just want him to be happy at this point.

Oda and Dazai do not have a father/son relationship

After reading Dark Era and the other two light novels where their relationship is expanded upon, I took some time to think about why exactly Dazai valued his friendship with Oda so much.

I think that because Dazai has this extreme immunity to the human experience, his friendship to Oda was something extremely special to him. Not because he saw him as a father figure, not owing to the fact that he saw him as someone who was on his level of intellect, or because Oda knew and understood everything about him. He was his friend, simple as that.

Dazai is someone who can't be understood and in return he is someone who can't connect to the world around him. In my opinion, having this normalcy of just talking to someone and not even necessarily being 'best friends' or 'soul mates' was a blessing to Dazai. This is also why I firmly believe calling it a father/son relationship would be a mischaracterization.

In an Interview, Asagiri noted that he described Dazai as "an unworldly being with a mental age of 2000 years." to staff working on BSD. I think a bond, that can situationally be as shallow and, to Dazai, as meaningless and abstract as a familial bond is something that he can't experience in a way that others would.

Friendship, in that sense, is less defined and I think it better describes their relationship as a whole
