Mon Mothma shares her dreams with ghosts too.
She looks into the mirror and sees Padme, the one that manged to convince her to do this whole thing to begin with. Everyone says she died during childbirth, but Mon Mothma knows better, and she knows Bail knows better too.
Sometimes she confuses the stormtrooper helmets for clones’ but after she hears their near robotic voices she snaps out of it.
After Luthen dies, she hears his voice nagging her to start the war, to not hold back anymore. She fights that voice every day for the months/days leading up to Scariff.
Then Saw dies. She never agreed with his methods, but as two people who had survived the Clone Wars and now were nearing another war, she couldn’t help but have some respect for him and feel sad at his passing. A true fighter until the very end.
Then Cassian dies. She knew Cassian for a while personally, mostly through Luthen, but she remembers their small, late-night talks, pondering what would happen if the Empire fell, she remembers her sending him on the most classified missions because he was the most loyal, trustworthy rebel she knew, she remembers the anger, hatred, and fear that created wrinkles on his young face but the kindness and light behind his eyes. That light is now gone from the galaxy.
Then Bail dies. Bail Organa was the closest thing the senator had to a brother, the man who would give his life to make sure the sun rose on a better galaxy for his daughter, the man that was the mastermind behind the entire alliance. Everything that was here, the galaxy wouldn’t have without him.
After Endor, Mon Mothma looks back at it, back at everything, back at all the people and places she had to sacrifice for this sun to rise again, and she asks herself: “was it worth it?”
And every voice, in unison, answers:
Yes.
Star Wars finally using the twin trope to its fullest advantage: mistaken identity, one good one evil, full-bodied telepathy, one impersonating the other, and having the same actor play both.
they were FINALLY critiquing the jedi.
they were FINALLY showing the perspective of dark-side users.
they were FINALLY doing SOMETHING different.

New AO3 Tag Wrangling Policy and the Transformers Fandom
recoiling in horror bc the "sherlock holmes and related fandoms" tag is gone
My understanding is that "All Media Types" tags are starting to disappear from certain fandoms on AO3, and if this is indeed the direction the site is headed in, the Star Wars tags are going to be a hot mess. As the post New AO3 Tag Wrangling Policy and the Transformers Fandom explains, the All Media Types tags help keep works from different parts of the same media types from being classified as Crossovers, which is...kind of important when talking about Star Wars as well.
Like, ignoring the fact that the majority of Star Wars movies, TV shows, books, and video games have characters and timelines that overlap one another, we also had an an EU reset a decade ago, which resulted in a split between Legends and Canon. And, I can't speak for the entire fandom, but I know plenty of writers who like to pick aspects they like from each and stick them in the same story.
Consider: Would a story involving sequel-trilogy Leia remembering an event that occurred during the original trilogy suddenly be considered a Crossover (which would exclude it from the search results of a ton of people who avoid Crossovers that mix franchises, but who would actually be interested in the story since it's the same dang franchise)? Would a story detailing the entirety of Obi-Wan's life be considered a Crossover? The implications of such a decision are not great.
It is being suggested that we voice our opinions (politely) using AO3's Support and Feedback form. I'm going to do so, and if this is something that concerns you, you might speak up as well. Hopefully if enough people say something, they'll either stop retiring the tags or will come up with another solution, because this is madness for so many fandoms.
"There is no amount of Palestinian death that will light the Eiffel Tower with Palestinian colors. We recognize that our death is simply not compelling the way theirs is. Our strategy should go beyond this: it should be a lot more offensive. It should be more than look at my limbs, look at my blood, we should be letting people know their own complicity."

As a fic writer, i need every reader to know that:
I don’t care if your comment is coherent. I know what you mean and i love you
I don’t care if you ramble. I read every word and i love you
I don’t care if you leave a comment on a fic from four years ago or leave comments/kudos on like ten of my fics in one go. This isn’t IG, pls stalk my AO3. I love you
I don’t care if you mention the same thing in your comment that four other people have already mentioned. It’s actually really useful to know what resonated with people and I love everyone who takes the time to tell me they liked a particular turn of phrase
I don’t mind if your comment is super long or just a couple of sentences, i love them all
I love you
The first thing Klaus took from that box was Dave’s dog tags and they just don’t talk about it. Viktor has trouble committing to relationships and this problem is not further elaborated upon. Ray’s abandonment is used as a dig against Allison. Luther seems to have given up searching for Sloane and only mentions her once. Diego and Lila are not content with family life and an unnecessary love triangle is formed between them and Five. The writers absolutely had no interest writing captivating personal drama or stakes for the Hargreeves in their final season.
