im so confused what does that person mean by slur... is "TRA" a slur...????!!!

Yes... He thinks "Trans Rights Activist" is a slur.

His white ass had no problem calling my friend "kanye" for being a black radfem though. Amazing how that works.

I hate you and how long it took me to get this

I go to the grocery store, heading straight for the dairy section. Positioning myself in the middle of the milk shelf, I let out one single long, wailing, cheese-curdling scream. Every single carton of fresh dairy product within hearing distance has now been rendered undrinkable. The poor worker whose only task this shift was to keep me out of the store and most importantly away from the dairy at all costs is fired on the spot. I do not linger to bear witness to the grief and destruction I have caused. Knowing that I caused it is enough.

These petty, pointless acts of meaningless evil are the reason that I will not see the kingdom of heaven.

What? No. Women get more economic power when they: aren't expected to stop working to have a child or if they get enough maternity leave and affordable pre-k education, when female-dominated fields aren't devalued, when women aren't told they must prioritize men and children over financial independence, etc. You know, all things we have made significant gains in over the past 50 years, but we're still not there yet. These are still the stats and a pretty common situation:

What? No. Women Get More Economic Power When They: Aren't Expected To Stop Working To Have A Child Or

2. Yes? and it provides more bodily autonomy for women.

3. And... what does a group of individuals make up?

4. I would say that almost every political or social movement would beg to differ.

5. Women's shelters for one.

6. Just completely missed the point I guess. Maybe perpetuating the idea that people who look female act one way, and people who look male act another way (in a way that advantages males), isn't great for women or feminism?

7. Pretty simple. A patriarchy is a system that doesn't advantage males over females as a whole. A policy that I didn't mention already is abolishing porn and the sex industry by criminalizing sex buyers, and not the sex workers. Also, requiring women to be included in medical trials. And also, boycott things like makeup, which is functionally useless and just feeds off the idea that women are just meant to be pretty yet women are also not pretty already.

Patriarchy is also often perpetuated through how people are raised, aka male vs female socialization, so working to combat that would help. It's not "just vibes". It's also "don't teach your daughter that math is for men".

We used to make fun of people for saying "not all men" it was beautiful

Honestly I've noticed that a lot of the anti-terf shit is like McCarthyism

Like the "if they talk about feminism a lot they're probably a TERF"

reminds me of the shit like "If they talk about workers rights they're probably a communist"

Like damn maybe kind of accurate but how is there no "are we the baddies" moment here?

Like seriously what is this shit bro? @oarfishingย  https://www.tumblr.com/oarfishing/758650339125821440/alright-im-sick-of-seeing-terfisms-on-my-dash?source=share

Also the significant cutting of the federal workforce and privatization, both Hitler and Mussolini did the same. They also promised the whole "making government more efficient" thing and removed useful regulations.

Also they're stopping research on whatever they deem useless or against their views (like climate change) and removing info about women and POC from government websites. Very similar to the book burning.

But yeah god forbid we call a spade a spade I guess.

American freedom amiright?

Yes lmao, I think that's also why I liked Brave New World. It was genuinely futuristic and kind of interesting, because there were also good sides to the society and it's understandable how it could become that way.

1984 was just "what if the citizens were tortured but like A LOT and make everything smell like cabbage for some reason". F451 is like nazi germany but if it had tiktok.

Thanks for the book rec! I'll try ^^ It looks good!

please, tell me iโ€™m not the only one who hates 1984 by george orwell with all the heart. everyone always describes it as this incredible book that will change your perception of the world, but honestly ... it didnโ€™t. for me.

Lmao sure ok?

So how the fuck would you treat a child equal to an adult?

Because from my memory, the last time that was close to a thing (aka at least treating kids who hit puberty like adults), we had child labor and child marriages, and school wasn't required after like 6th grade.

So, do children have the maturity for all that, or is it necessary to be "ageist"?

thoughts on youthlib?

Honestly I had basically no idea about this movement but I just looked it up.

It makes some sense, like for rights to education, protecting children from child abuse, etc.

However, I don't see how it's a good idea to get rid of "ageism" towards young people since it's just a fact that children are immature and shouldn't be treated equal to adults.

How about you? (you can just send me another anon message saying "youthlib anon here" or something)
