first on the most to want to cuddle list is.. LUISA MADRIGAL!

she is definitely a cuddly person. you cant change my mind. shes afraid she'll crush you to death in her sleep though, so the cuddles have to be you hugging her so that she wont.. crush you.

i think she likes being little spoon! but if you need comforting or whatever, shes happy to be big spoon!

cuddling with her is super fun, and she definitely cuddles with you when she needs comforting. like when she feels weak, or when her gift was fading. you're her comfort!!! youre the person who she looks to for comfort and reassurance

sometimes when you cuddle and shes sad, shes fine with silence. she just needs you with her.

second on the list is.. MIRABEL MADRIGAL!

she is definitely someone who will hug you even if youre sleeping together, just walking, sad, or anything! hugs are her thing! i hc her as an extremely affectionate person so cuddles are a must. i cannot guarantee if you two are cuddling and you want to just talk to eachother that she wont fall asleep on accident.

whenever you two cuddle, if mirabel or you dont fall asleep, you two are talking about random things you think are interesting. or like when she saw the house breaking, when she was tio bruno, etc etc. you two are always talking about that when you cuddle.

she probably switches between big spoon and little spoon, but most of the time shes little spoon!

when you two talk about secrets (or isabela before the whole casita breaking and gifts fading thing happening) but you have to be extra quiet!! cause dolores might hear you!! or antonio since theyre in the same room.

also she'll play with your hair if shes big spoon, but you better play with hers when shes little spoon >:/

speaking of antonio!! he always asks if he can join in or if he can hear what you two are talking about like any normal five year old would.

in third place we haaave.. *trumpet sounds* .. CAMILO MADRIGAL!

he strikes me as the type of guy to cuddle often. like luisa, he cuddles with you when he needs comfort or reassurance. cuddles with him are either silent or you two are having a conversation.

or when you dont feel like talking (like if your throat hurts or something) he's happy to ramble on whatever he can think about! or let you hear whatever little song he made up! (and yes im headcanoning that he makes up songs cause im also headcanoning that hes a theater kid.)

i feel like hes more of a little spoon, but i think he likes pillow talk instead of spooning a lot more. (one time you two were talking about why it was called spooning. you settled on it being cause some peoples body shapes are like spoons.)

fourth is.. CARLOS MADRIGAL!

look, he may not seem like the type of guy to like to cuddle but believe me he does. he secretly does. dont tell anyone about it though, he doesnt want to seem like his brother camilo >:/

hes a big spoon. but i swear if you somehow convince him to be little spoon he'll ask you if you can be big spoon from now on.

he doesnt really have a preference, but hes kind of likes spooning a lot more.

cuddles with him are really quiet, he doesnt talk alot and probably would playfully/jokingly tease you if youre rambling while youre cuddling.

but of course, he'll still listen to you talk about whatever youre talking about. i feel like he'd research on what you're talking about so next time you're cuddling or talking in general he'll know what you mean or throw in some theories or facts here and there.

-if you agreed to go out with her she'd be over the moon, the only thing on her mind afterward being how the date was going to go and how she was going to dress and plan for it.

-if you ever stopped looking directly at her she'd probably fist-pump the air, little blossoms of plants and flowers sprouting in the ground along with her.

-honestly more of a relieved feeling as well, since she wasn't really expecting you to actually like her back.

-when you told her you reciprocated her feelings there would be a lot of stuttering and nervous words from her.

-"o-oh! really? I-i didn't think you'd actually, um," her voice would trail off from there as she nervously rubbed the back of her neck.

-this is where'd you'd step in and ask her out, with her saying yes of course

-when the two of you parted ways for the day she'd go straight to her room and then just scream into a pillow, taking in a deep breath once she got it all out of her system

mirabel:

-would be much more open about her happiness

-first thing she'd say after you said you liked her too was, "YES LET'S GO!"

-when she realizes what she just said she'd awkwardly lower her arms and try to laugh it off as if you didn't just make her the happiest girl in the world.

-"i mean, uh, yeah," she said quickly. "nice, nice."

-like camilo, the kind of person to lean against a chair to act calm and collected but end up missing and just falling onto her side

-finds it hard to meet your eyes but once she gains the courage she'll ask you out <3

-will be thinking about you for the rest of the day and everyone notices it, especially julieta.

-she thinks it's endearing, adoring the way in which her daughter was acting

-the most calm response!!

-would also be relieved like luisa, but i don't think it'd be out of insecurity like her. more like just... anticipation.

-she's usually a quiet talker because of her gift but when you told her you liked her as well she'd probably talk the loudest she had ever in awhile!

-also the most forward about it! just confidently asks you if you want to go on a date with her, a hopeful shine in her eye

-could not bring herself to leave you alone after you say yes, hanging out with you for the rest of the day

-just wants to be in your presence, and if she can't then she'll just tune into your voice and listen to you for awhile

camilo:

-like mirabel trying to be suave and cool but like... 10x worse

-please help this poor boy

-visibly relaxes when he hears you confess to liking him back, that stupidly charming smile only brightening

-thinks he's acting all smooth while asking you out on a date but in reality he's much more awkward than he thinks

-you still think it's cute, though, so of course you say yes

-would probably kiss the back of your hand once you part ways for the day, making sure to really take in your face before going back home

Because I needed this today, we’re being less than judicious with the que. We’ll go back to regular order after this post. As an aside, this is the way that I experience anxiety attacks, it is different for everyone.

You sat by yourself on the cool cobblestones of an alley. You had felt a little on edge all day, but the proper attack had come on rather suddenly. As you stood conversing with a villager, a sharp pain in your ribs and back appeared, you became hyper aware of the feeling of your pulse in your throat. You were able to politely excuse yourself before finding somewhere to be alone. You curled up, back against a wall, knees to your chest, trying to convince your body to calm down.

“Y/n there you-“ Luisa stopped suddenly, her tone going from excitement to concern. “Mi vida? Are you okay?”

“Yeah, just an anxiety attack. I’ll be fine.” You panted. She sat down, pulling you over into her lap, your head on her chest.

“Breathe with me.” She said, setting a slow and steady rhythm with her breathing. You began to mimic the rise and fall of her chest, slowly letting the tension go from your body.

“How are you doing?”

“I-I’m fine.” You said, the tears starting to well in your eyes.

“Amor, you’re not fine, you just had an anxiety attack, and you sound like you wanna cry.”

“I’m sorry, I just don’t know what caused it, it just sort of happened.” You said, hugging her tight.

“It’s okay. We’ll get through this.” She rocked you gently, putting her face in your hair.

“Can I stay with you for the rest of the day?”

“Absolutely.” She said,kissing the top of your head. “But why don’t we stay here for a bit, just so I know you’re going to be okay. If not, I’ll call it a day and just take you home.”

“But the village-“

“Doesn’t need me more than you do right now.” She said, cutting you off. You nodded, yawning slightly. She hummed a little, squeezing you just a bit tighter. “It’s gonna be okay.

Sleeping with Luisa was a very comforting experience 99.9 Percent of the time. Luisa was the cuddle queen, and had a special appreciation for warm fluffy blankets. However, there was the .01 percent that could be a real beast. You woke up with severe pain radiating from your ribs and made some alarmed and pained noises that snapped Luisa back to consciousness.

“Huh? Wha? Oh! Oh My God What Did I Do?!?” Luisa was across the room, hair disheveled, and night gown off a shoulder as she stoop looking horrified in less time than it took Camilo to prank someone.

“Baby, darling, sweetheart, it’s fine, really.” You lied. Each breath really hurt, but let’s face it, talking Luisa down was sort of priority. You moved to sit up, wincing more. “I’ll go wake your mom, hell I can tell her I was out for a little stroll and tripped down the stairs.” Luisa’s lower lip started quivering and her eyes welled with tears.

“I’m so sorry!” She sobbed, her eyes frantic.

“Honey, angel, amor,” you soothed, walking over and hugging her, in-spite of the screaming ribs. “What happened?

“I-I had a n-nightmare. I didn’t know!” You did your best to rock her back and forth, trying desperately to ignore the ouch in your chest. “Tell me everything.” You started humming to try to bring her off the emotional ledge.

“Th-there were people chasing us, and I lost you in the people running, and I couldn’t find anyone, and my strength went away, and then there were spiders.”

“Oh love, of course you were hugging me tight, I’d be scared too.” You coaxed her to sit on the floor, making it easier to stroke her hair and dry her cheeks.

“I hurt you.” She whispered, almost ashamed.

“It wasn’t intentional, and nothing a snack courtesy of your mom won’t fix.” You promised, bringing her head to your chest. “I love you so much, my gentle Luisa.” A knock sounded at the door, followed by a tired looking Julietta and a concerned Dolores entering the room.

“Mama, I hurt her.” Luisa whimpered, as Julietta took over your place, Dolores handed you a quesadilla, which was eaten gratefully. The relief was instant as your ribs went back where they were supposed to go.

“Good as new.” You announced, kneeling before Luisa. “Light of my life, why don’t we go back to bed?” Pure apprehension flooded her face. “Odds are it won’t happen more than once in a night.” You pointed out.

“She’s right. Get some rest. You need a good nights sleep.” Julietta said, petting Luisa’s hair and kissing her daughter’s face.

“A-alright.” Luisa agreed, standing up and hugging her mother and cousin. You mouthed your thanks as they left the room, earning nods and smiled of acknowledgment. You held out your arms, making grabby hands.

“I could do with some snuggles, I’m starting to get cold.” Luisa gingerly picked you up, setting you on the bed with the utmost care, curling around you.

“I love you. I’m sorry.”

“I know. I love you too.
