My thoughts

You can be smart and be high support needs.

You can be smart and struggle with basic care tasks.

You can be smart and be diagnosed with an intellectual disability, even if you struggle with reading writing and math.

You can be smart and sleep in an enclosed special needs bed for your safety.

You can be smart and need constant supervision.

You can be smart and need your toileting handled by someone else.

You can be smart and still have violent meltdowns.

You can be smart and still need government assistance.

You can be smart even if you were in sped your whole life.

You can be smart and still need a guardianship and/or Conservatorship.

You can be smart and nonverbal, even if you struggle with AAC.

You can be smart even if they told you your IQ is low, IQ is notoriously shit at measuring intelligence and why they use it in diagnostics is beyond me.

You can be smart and all these things and more.

You can be smart even if everyone else in the room will always think that you’re not cause of your disability.

These are all things I have seen or apply to me. Being emotionally smart is also a thing too. When I would have violent meltdowns in sped and would be yelled at or met with traumatic situations due to the teachers not knowing what to do, it was often my intellectually disabled classmates who knew how to talk me and caress me out of it and they were a hell of a lot smarter then the teachers in those moments. Don’t let people think you’re not smart for any reason and if you don’t believe you are take a good look at your strengths and come back.

Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your hair is purple. You know what else is purple? Red and blue mixed together. Yknow who are red and blue? Grian and someone else Uhhhh LDshadowlady in empires one. Ok. Grian and empires one LDshadowlady. Yknow who else is grian and ldshadowlady? No one because they are ✨ unique ✨ at this point I would be relatively surprised if you didn’t at least have a guess towards who I am. But. That’s not the question at hand right now. Your hair. It is also made out of keratin, just like rhinoceros horns. What else has horns? That’s right, dragons. Now, based on your description, I can conclude that you like dragons BUT I will now in investigate your possible dragonesque identity. Just like dragons, we have established that you both have keratin growing out of your heads. Similarly, dragons are rumored to be unnaturally colored, just like your hair. We also know that grian and LDshadowlady have both at some point in their careers worn an elytra. Elytra have wings - dragons have wings. I don’t think I need to explain this one. Now, as I have been told to go to sleep, I rest (haha get it) my case.

Alright. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure this post is just telling me I am a dragon? In a very roundabout way that appeals to quite a few of my interests. Now to address the rest of your post? Ask? Not sure what the terminology is, but anyway. You said that my hair was purple and that purple was a combination of red and blue. Both statements are correct, to my knowledge. You then gave examples of both a red and a blue character. I fully agree with both Grian as red and LDShadowlady (ESMP1) as blue, and would also like to offer other characters associated with these colours. I offer up TangoTek as red, due to his skin’s red eyes and outfit, and red being frequently depicted on him in various forms. For blue I give Smajor1995, for reasons I deem obvious. You then bring up that my hair is made of keratin, which is the same material as typical animal horns. This is also fully true (I think). You then bring up my love of dragons. This is true. I like dragons, and think they are very cool. You then bring up a list of evidence pointing towards me being a dragon, which is well formatted and logical, though the evidence is somewhat flimsy. Even so, this has shown that I need to do a better job blending in with the humans if I wish to fit in better in society and not at all to collect more information on the humans. Also, unless you are Tvvigjuice, I have no guesses as to your identity. Now as I reach the end of your message, and thus the end of my own, I wish you a good night and a peaceful rest. It's being normal(tm) about Scott hours again.

Do you guys ever think about how Scott sees death as a solution? How Scott sees death as peace?

It's the way he finds his way home, the way he makes people like him, the gift he gives his allies, the apology he gives when someone is angry with him.

The players don't have much agency in this game, but if nothing else, Scott always has control over his own body, his life. So..it's become a tool. Something to trade away, something to break apart in a million different ways.

And it's not a big deal (not to him, and certainly not to the ones he does it for)

It'll always come back. Reform the same as ever. Maybe not this season, but he doesn't want to win again anyways (he exists to push his teammates along).

Of course, that's not the whole truth. It's difficult, to dehumanize yourself so much you see your own life as something to give away at a moments notice. Sometimes you see..hesitance, almost, the sparks of whatever part of him knows he doesn't just live to die again.

But death always solves his problems, doesn't it? Scott dies and he gets to see his husband again, Scott dies and he's not alone anymore, Scott dies and he's formed a new alliance, Scott dies so his teammates can win, Scott dies and he's forgiven, Scott dies and at least he was useful.

Scott's (perceived) worth is in his death. This is something the people around him contribute to (often they're just as eager to take as he is to give), but it's even moreso something Scott believes and enforces on himself.

A gift, a sign of love, a way to prove he cares, and a way to assure himself that whoever he's dying for cares too.

Because to bring an animal to slaughter is to prove you value them in some way.

Imagine this: a wild card that makes everyone’s hybrid instincts go into overdrive.

Grian perches on Mumbo’s shoulders, squawking at anyone who gets too close. He somehow manages to steal something from every player for his nest, despite living on people’s shoulders and backs the whole time. He doesn’t give the items back once the session’s over.

Tango wanting to keep his pyre warm. He starts off just clinging to whoever’s nearest, but it soon turns into “Tango! Too hot!” and he’s absolutely crushed he can’t just set everyone on fire. Eventually they get out fire resistance potions so he can make everyone as warm as he wants, because watching him be a sad pathetic cat was no fun.

Jimmy unable to stand being away from his flock. If he’s left alone for as little as one minute he has a breakdown, because his flock is leaving him and they hate him and the world is ending. Him and Grian get along well.

Ren for the most part is normal, but he does require head scratches often. He brings sticks to other players to throw, immediately chasing it and bringing it back. He also tries to eat… everything. He chews up so many of his things that the chests end up getting locked. Martyn is tired.

Lizzie immediately gets stuck in a tree and has to be saved. She’s already quite a menace, but with her feline instincts turned up she’s more feral than ever. She knocks things over, digs in people’s storages, and hisses at anyone who gets too annoying. She has to be kept away from the giant bird that is Jimmy, unfortunately he becomes a tasty snack in her eyes.

There’s thankfully some normal, non hybrid players on the server that can help out. There’s also, luckily, hybrids whose instincts don’t get in the way too badly.

Scott, an ice elf, just has to make sure he doesn’t get too warm or he’ll get sick. Pearl occasionally has to be dragged away from light sources, but otherwise she’s great help. Impulse helps as well, when he’s pulled away from making mischief with the fae that is Gem. Skizz is a saint (literally) and does his best to make everyone happy. This does end in a breakdown for Skizz, because helping people is his job, he needs to make them happy, but even instincts can’t stop Impulse from comforting him.

They all end up in a pile at spawn by the end of the session, some players having breakdowns or freaking out when they can’t make sure everyone is safe.

…And Bdubs spent the whole time either asleep or screaming at people. Damn phantom hybrid.
