Book 1, Chapter 7: Things get ugly when the bullies decide to push the sisters into a lake. This was so fun to draw, I hope you like ❤️
I lied, put your clothes back on.. 😐 we're going to talk about the complexity of the duarte twins relationship and how they're so similar but different at the same time when it comes to achieving what they want
the most romantic thing to ever happen in tfota is cardan living in the room meant for the ruler's lover
I will be perfectly honest, I somehow like every single detail about timebomb's lovestruck skins.
"It's all over the place", "too many clashing details", "seems like they couldn't choose what designs to put and then mixed them all together"
you see... that's exactly what I like about it.
IT'S SO THEM. AND THAT'S THE POINT.
the whole theme of "vibing, rocking, being in love 💞"
- leg warmers <--> jeans (we all joked about it at least once)
- Ekko now seems to sport the same side-bangs Jinx has
- spiky parts on their jackets are meant to form a heart
their accessories... oh... the way they match in all the little ways:
- Jinx's heart on her waist matches the heart Ekko has on his knee
- just like the heart on Jinx's left shoe matches the heart on Ekko's right shoe
- the cute round beads that imitate Jinx's second braid are also found on Ekko's pants... pants, on which he has very cute pins that may very sweetly parallel Jinx's jacket pins
- Jinx's half-a-heart necklace meant to form a heart with Ekko's half-a-heart knuckle accessory
I think the idea of Miles being “betrayed” by Gwen, Peter, and Peni is really interesting to think/talk about
I personally feel that when it comes to betraying someone, there has to be intentionality behind it; if it wasn’t intentional, then I don’t think betray is the appropriate word to use for it (granted I’m no dictionary, that’s just what I think)
What happened with Gwen and the others was unintentional; they were in an incredibly tight and uncomfortable place in regards to Miles and Miguel (being friends with Miles and wanting what’s best for him, and working for Miguel and not wanting to disobey him because they think/thought that he knows best) and I don’t disregard that at all
So did they betray Miles? No, I don’t think so. But, does Miles feel betrayed by them and their actions? And is he valid for feeling so? Absolutely yes to both of those things
I love this editing
Ekko and his “sailors” about to be wrecked by Jinx’s whirlpool, represented by her spinning gun.
Lala: "I hate Chaos! I swear, he is the most monstrous person alive! I will never trust this guy!"
Evangeline, Tella and Scarlett: *flashbacks*
Evangeline: "It's a canon event"
Scarlett: "We cannot interrupt"
Tella: "Denial is a river in Egypt"
*taps the mic* Greatsword Lore *leaves*
Based on something Jorge dropped in a stream once
( warning, it's been a hot minute since I've read the books so correct me if I'm misremembering anything)
We as a fandom need to discuss where the "cardan is a malewife haha what a girlfailure loser" comes from, because yeah he has a complete lack of care regarding politics, and is extremely irresponsible, however not only is he shown to be very intelligent when he wishes to be, (literally stole Jude's ring without her even realising).....he is also quite literally terrifying. Unlike Jude who is violent only when she has to defend herself, Cardans cruelty (......the book is called the cruel prince for a reason) is just. For fun. He has little moral compass, and even Jude was scared of him in the first book (in which some of his actions against her are literally horrendous???)
Cardans failures only come because of his own laziness/lack of caring. When he wishes to he is a terrifying ruler. I love the jokes, but we've reached a point where all the posts I see about Cardan are "haha silly alcoholic malewife :3 " like. Y'all this man has ruined (or/and ended-) people's lives 😭😭😭
