I hurried to my laptop when I saw the request. ;; I was so excited.

“Gahh! [Name], can’t you go a bit easy on me?” Ace screeches, backing up as far as he could. But when his back touches the cold wall, he gulps. This, he knows, could be his end and starts mentally praying hard to the Great Seven to save him, begging fearfully to let him live– to see another day– to see his brother and the rest of his family once more. He promises to be a good boy and behave, following Riddle’s rules down to the last.

“I haven’t done anything to you yet?” You feigned a pout of hurt, drawing closer to the first year. He slumps down to the ground. This was his end, he believed. “Deuce, do something!!” He begs his fellow first year and dorm mate who watched idly by. “Sorry. Nope. No can do.” Deuce himself was terrified of this sadistic side of you and was internally grateful that you had chosen Ace and not him.

“Aw, come on.. I just need you to drink this for me..” You shake a vial of questions in front of his face, leaning your upper body forward. “Look, I won’t even make you drink all of it! Please?” Were it the first couple of experiments, he would have gladly taken it and swallowed it whole, but now..? “Nuh-uh. No way in hell!” Ace refuses. “Why don’t you go ask Deuce? He looks willing!”

You stop and blink owlishly before looking over your shoulder. “Deuce?” You gave him the best of your puppy eyes– but you do wonder if it ever works. “W, what!? Me!? No, I don’t!” Deuce denies, now the one backing away when you have straightened up. “Help a magicless student out, please?”

After Deuce had once more refused, you let out a defeated sigh. You just don’t understand why they were afraid of you. This time, you were sure you had followed the instructions carefully down to its last step, but if the result looked like something that neither Ace nor Deuce wanted to drink, you were sure you had failed again. You thought that potion making would be one of the easier subject for you since all it you had to do was follow instructions– and you are pretty sure you are good at following instructions– but it turned out to be a challenge instead.

“I’m going to fail this class..” You sobbed, though there were no tears to back it up and your figure drooped. Nevertheless, Ace- once he stood up from the ground- and Deuce felt awfully bad. “Hey, why don’t we do something to clear up your mind? Maybe you’re just stressed out to focus,” Ace suggests, grinning widely.

You look back at him and pretty soon, you smile. “Sure! What do you have in mind?” You straighten up, looking like yourself again. “We can play ball? That always does the trick!” he suggests. You raise a brow, your face giving off the question of ‘really?’. Sweating and running around and being competitive? “Thanks but no thanks,” you say, making your way to the other side of the room where the rest of the lab coas were hanged, and hanging your own.

“Oh! Then why not go on a run?” Deuce lights up when he suggests. “You know what they say, running always clears the mind!” “It’s a nice offer, but I’m just not into that,” you reject once again. “Well, I guess I’ll just–” Your words were cut short when out of the corner of your eyes, you saw a tail past by the door. An all too familiar tail.

You quickly peaked your head out of the door. Seeing your eyes light up and your demeanor changing to one of that of an excited child, the two first years walked to the door– where you were already hurriedly walking out.

“Leona-san!” You had called out from behind, getting the lion to stop and look behind. “Oh, herbivore, what are you doing just coming out of class?” he asks. “I was doing some testing.. I’m kind of failing at potion making..” You look down embarrassingly.

But you then realized something that made you look up at the man standing in front of you. “Wait, what are you doing inside the school’s building, Leona-san?” you asked, kind of surprised to see him out and about in the halls and not taking a nap somewhere, especially since classes have ended long ago.

“I was looking for Ruggie since he wasn’t answering my call,” he answered, seeming annoyed thinking about it. “O, oh.. Um.. Is it something I can do instead?” you ask, doe-eyed as you wait for him to speak. Leona takes a while to answer, eyes judging you before making a verdict. “I guess it can.. But I don’t want your pretty little head running around for me,” he said, softly smiling and patting your head– well, it was more like just placing a hand on top of your head and just leaving it there.

You felt a little disappointed that he doesn’t want to receive your help, but pushed the feeling aside when you heard him sigh and grumble a bit to himself under his breath. “Well, he’s probably gonna show up at any moment now so I’m heading back,” he muttered, scratching his head, not sure if it was for you to hear or just him speaking to himself.

“Well, I’ll see you around, herbivore.” He pats your shoulder before going back to where he originally came from, down the hall.

Ace and Deuce, who were watching the ordeal, saw him coming and quickly duck backed inside the classroom until he passed. Once he was gone, they peaked their heads back out to see that you were still standing on the same spot, back towards them.

They looked at each other with a raised brow and silently agreed at how different you acted whenever Leona was around. “Damn, they’re weird,” Ace whispers, to which Deuce nods in agreement, eyes on you.
