Ocean Beach Wave. Oil on linen. 20 x 14 inches. . . Most paintings take months or weeks to finish. Some get put away and discovered again. And then there are the very few that only take days, which is this case. All week, I was imagining a wave above a house. I wasn’t exactly sure how it will come out, but this is the result with little preparation and only just that idea. . . . . . #art #painting #illustration #printmaking #abstractart #oilpainting #arte #artistsoninstagram #artofinstagram #landscapepainting #surf #sanfrancisco #artoftheday #artcurator #sunset https://www.instagram.com/p/CPt4QXSnm-w/?utm_medium=tumblr
Have you been to Viet Nam?
I visited Viet Nam with my family when I was in the fourth grade.
One of the most memorable things was at the beach when I saw a monkey chained to a palm tree. I wanted to pet the animal so I ran towards it and was immediately grabbed by an old man who pointed to sign next to the monkey. My father rushed in and I asked him to translate what the sign meant. he replied, “The monkey kills people”
