You're straddling him and your arms are thrown over his shoulders, clinging onto him like a little koala. Your face is buried into his neck and your eyes are shut as you bask in the warmth of his body.

You giggle, the sound so clear beneath Toji's ear. If he had the warmth of a thousand suns, you had the beauty of the night's guiding moon.

"Toji," you say, softly. After every repetition of his name, you ghost your lips all over his neck. Toji thinks he could stay like this for longer than a bit. He feels at ease, knowing you're there, acting as his most cherished blanket. He feels so light, like he's not even in his body anymore. You don't even know how happy he is. You can't see the soft smile on his face and how it's failing to disappear.

"Toji," you repeated one last time.

He had lost track of how many times you said his name, but not once did he get tired of hearing it. He wanted to answer your call, this time. "Yeah, baby?"

In all your gentleness and loving, you offered him serenity, and he enveloped himself in it. If your love could be bottled, he would live off of it. He would cook it into his every day meals. holding a freebie from a makeup package you purchased, you squeeze the lipstick tube in your palm. you smack your lips a few inches away from a mirror, admiring the color. you hum at it’s moisture and read the label.

the product is tossed to your bed and you walk out to the living room to really test its authenticity. 

“toji?” you call to gain his attention from the TV screen. he watched you walk towards him and lowers the volume.

you kiss him again. on his left cheek, his jawline, the tip of his nose, his right cheek, under his eyes, his forehead. a small curl of his lips isn’t noticed by you, and part of him hopes the color does transfer to cover the rose blushing his face. 

“yeah, yeah. that’s good.” you smile shamelessly. 

“good, huh?” 

“ya you should see for yourself.” you grab his phone from the couch and open the camera, a devious simper still on you. 

you take a few photos and turn it around. all the places where you had pecked laid the shape and color of your lips. toji can’t help smile at the mess.

“i think it might even look better on you.” you giggle and put the phone down, holding his face again.
