Dismissing, discounting, ignoring or attempting to erase half of their heritage because it does not appeal to you or serve your agenda is wrong, regardless of which half you’re discounting.

Multiracial people deserve representation just as much as people who are of a singular ethnicity. Mixed race kids deserve to have heroes they can see themselves in just as much as kids who are of a singular race.

Some of these characters define themselves by their heritage, others don’t seem to ever think about it. Some identify more with one ethnicity while others make it a point to correct people who try to identify them as one singular race. This is good because there are real multiracial people like each of them.

Mixed race get put straight on the bottom of any organ donation list we’re put on and we constantly have to deal with people either asking ‘what are you?’ or arguing that we aren’t [ethnicity here] enough or “don’t look [ethnicity here]”. We can be ridiculed or rejected by both races we feel we belong to because we are also part of the other. Let us have the dozen or so superheroes & villains that we can relate to. You can enjoy them as well. They’re still awesome. They’re still a POC character. They just have this extra aspect that means something to us.

So Link was raised by the Rito right?? But they're a hylian, so they originally came from a hylian settlement. So I was thinking like. Links village was ransacked by monsters and Link ran away. Not very far because they were very littke but q day afterwards the Rito fond them qnd take them in!! Either that or Link just popped into existence there which!!! I also wanna play around with because its just!! Such a funnyidea!! Anywa so one Rito in particular named Firo finds them, and Firo is maybe like. Four years older and he's just like. Haha what a weird rat im keeping it. Firo's mom is obviously shocked when her son comes over holding a HYLIAN CHILD DEAR GODESS ABOVE WHERE DID YOU GET HIM??? DID YOU. DID YOU STEAL SOMEONES CHILD FIRO????

That gets all settled and now Link has a new family that has no idea how to raise a Hylian child. Im working on names for Links Rito family so if u have any ideas please share :)

Zelda is a very excitable person!! She loved reading and studying the stars and such!! But !! She also just loves to have a party!! And maybe fistfight someone haha

King Man (this id his name now) loves his daughter but she worries him. He's not even all that old. All the white in his hair is because of her.

Zelda and her Father have a very good relationship! She goes to her father to talk about anything that's bothering her, or asks to help him with court stuff

Zelda's mom is a bit more complicated! Like! Zeldas mom is very nice and she even helped teach Zelda to fight but she's not really. Good with emotions. Talking about them. But she loves to talk abou the book she's currently reading or just give pointers when Zelda is struggling in combat training

After defeating the big bad and all Zelda immediately is like. Link. Ur my new nibling.

Also she falls in love with "the really cool gerudo girl"

Link is tired and naps for a week

During the battle with the evil spirit, the spirit taunts Zelda for not being a real girl, and not having the true power of the goddess.
