Heroes: Bonfire (Jackson Carlyle)

Heroes: Bonfire (Jackson Carlyle)

Jackson was born into one of the richest families in Harking City. His parents owned one of the biggest companies in the world, and made much of their money from building technologically advanced weapons for the government. Jackson himself was a child prodigy with a huge ego, and often went out partying around town, getting plastered and crashing cars. When he was in his mid 20s, he was invited to his father’s weapons laboratory, where his father and his team of scientists was developing a serum that when injected, gives a person superpowers based on their genetic makeup. During his tour, a group of mercenaries broke into the lab to steal the serum and use it to go on a crime spree. During the scuffle at the lab, Jackson used some of the serum on himself and got the power of fire. He took down the robbers and attempted to help his father after he was injured by the robbers, and wound up accidentally burning his father’s arm. He then allowed his mother and father to experiment on him so he could morph back into his human form. Eventually, they engineered a special chest piece that allows him the shift between being a human and a man made of fire. His parents’ company then marketed him to the public as the world’s first superhero.

I just felt like drawing a MK1 Clash Pose of Gentleman Ghost. He's such a great character and one of my personal favorite DC characters of all time. He needs to be in more stuff.

Villains: The Truth (Howard Skarsgard)
Villains: The Truth (Howard Skarsgard)

Villains: The Truth (Howard Skarsgard)

Howard has always been obsessed with the truth, working as an investigative journalist for Harking City Daily. His investigations would always expose conspiracies. Unfortunately, he dug too deep. While investigating Wickman Industries, he uncovered all of the supervillain dealings that Mangrove Wickman (The Crow) was up to. Learning of this, Crow used his connections to kill Howard and his family. Planting a bomb in his apartment, Howard's family was vaporized in their sleep, and Howard was disfigured. Having lost his family and his career, he disappeared. Years later, a new killer appeared in Harking City. His modus operandi was attacking the subsidiaries of Wickman Industries, killing various people that worked for the company. Calling himself "The Truth" he live-streamed his attacks for everyone to see. He burned down a crooked millionaire's penthouse and blew up the 2nd National Bank before exposing their wrongdoings. His crusade would gain traction online, amassing thousands of followers. Soon, riots began all over the city, with people dressing up as Truth and attacking associates of Wickman Industries. The heroes were scattered throughout the city, trying to contain the riots and save innocent people caught in the crossfire. The followers stormed the Wickman tower and tore it apart. Fearing for his life, Crow and his family took shelter in their safe house at Hawking Towers. Unfortunately, Truth and his followers stormed the safe house and took Crow and his family hostage. He reveals himself to be Howard Skarsgard and plans to kill his family to make him suffer as he did before taking Crow to Harking City Square and executing him. Fortunately, the heroes stopped Howard before he could. However, they let his information be released, and Wickman Industries was taken down, killing two birds with one stone. Crow and his subordinates were sent to prison, and Howard was sent to Belbridge Tower.

Heroes: Riptide (Marina Kelly)

Heroes: Riptide (Marina Kelly)

Marina was a marine biologist who operated out of the Bahamas, recording the habits of sea flora and fauna for scientific study. She has a huge love of the sea, often spending the majority of her time free-diving in the bay and interacting with the underwater creatures she loved so much. She even has a pet dolphin she named "Svo", an abbreviation of "svobodného ducha", which means Free Spirit in Czech. During a scuba diving tour she was leading, a ship containing a bootleg version of the Super Serum hit a rock, tearing a hole in it's side and causing the serum to spill out into the surrounding waters. The tour group and everyone else in the bay was violently mutated by the serum, causing them all to develop superpowers and drown. She was the only one to survive, as she developed the ability to turn her entire body into a being composed entirely of water. Horrified by what she'd become, she swam back to her lab and locked herself inside of her huge office aquarium. Shen then spent the next 2 weeks locked in her office, trying to figure out how to control her new abilities.  During her time, she learned that her entire body is essentially malleable, and that she can bend her body any way she pleases. She also had the ability to control water, breathe underwater, turn essentially intangible, shape-shift into other people, and morph her entire body into a puddle, allowing her the ability to slip through crevasses. After finally getting control over her abilities, she left her office and stepped back out into the world. On her first day out, she headed back to her favorite beach, just in time to see a yacht crash into the pier and start to sink. She quickly leapt into action and saved everyone on the boat. Everyone was in awe of the "Aqua-Lady", as they called her. She was reported in the paper, with some people claiming that she was a "Goddess Of The Sea". While certainly not seeing herself as a "Goddess", she was inspired by superheroes like Bonfire and Ryuko to become her own hero. She then fashioned her own costume out of a wetsuit she owned, and made her official debut to the public a week later. While finally meeting up with friends at the Marathon Mall, the place was accosted by a team of robbers who were trying to rob the jewelry store. Seeing a golden opportunity, she leapt into action and stopped the robbers. She then introduced herself to the public as "Riptide". A year later, P.E.A.C.E. caught wind of a new superhero operating out of the Bahamas, and they sent Ultra-Violet and Black Streak to investigate and offer her a spot on the team. They happened to do it at the exact same time Hazmax & Toxzita moved their operation to the Bahamas, who were planning on infecting the water with a toxin that would turn anyone who ingested it into a toxic mutant. The three heroes then teamed up and combined their abilities to stop them and cure all of the citizens of Nassau. After this, she accepted their offer, and joined the team as their resident environmentalist hero. She now spends her time helping out along the coastline between the USA & the Bahamas, stopping smuggling operations, helping out during shipwrecks and oceanic archeology assignments.

Neo Joker

Neo Joker

Before she met the Clown Prince of Crime, Marian Drews was a depressed, self harming bank teller who had nothing to live for. She'd often cut her wrists in full view of everyone else, just to see if anyone cared enough to stop her. Then one day, she met the love of her life. The Joker robbed the Bank that she worked at, and pointed a gun at her head. Suddenly, she wanted to live. Instead of killing her, The Joker handed her a sack and told her to load it with money from the vault. Halfway through this, he started to call her Harley. Already terrified, Marian just went along with it, afraid that if she didn't that he would kill her. As soon as they left the bank and escaped the cops, The Joker handed her Harley's old costume and told her to put it on. It turns out that the original Harleen Quinzel had left Joker's crew a few months ago, and Marian had a striking resemblance to the former psychiatrist. As soon as they got back to his Ha-Hacienda, The Joker bandaged her wrist wounds, and then buried his head in her lap and began to cry. It was then that Marian realized that The Joker wasn't a monstrous demon, just a deeply damaged man who wanted someone to love him. Just like that, she became his new Harley Quinn. Sometime during their partnership, she modified the costume and made it look more like a Roller Skater than a Classic Jester. One night after The Joker broke out of Arkham Asylum for the umpteenth time, Batman chased him to a medical warehouse and force fed him a bottle of unknown pills. These pills had a rather unexpected effect on The Joker, restoring him to his former sane self. Returning to his identity of Jack Napier, he tried to propose to who he thought was Harleen Quinzel, but Marian rebuffed his advances. She loved The Joker, not Jack Napier. Before she could force makeup on Jack's face, she was kicked in the face by Harleen Quinzel, who had come to save her "Puddin". While Jack and Harleen were trying to make Jack the new councilman of Gotham City, they used very corrupt means in order to prove that Batman is the worst thing for the city. They used a combination of Clayface and Mad Hatter's mind-control tech to mind control all of the super villains of Gotham to go on a rampage and destroy a library that Jack had recently built in Backport, and all to prove that Batman can't solve every problem. Meanwhile, Marian decided to become the new Joker while Jack was gone from the role. She then found a warehouse where Jack was stashing all of the villains and the mind control tech. Cutting a deal with the Mad Hatter, she and Jervis mind-controlled the villains in order to go against Jack's orders and destroy the city. After attacking Wayne Manor, they managed to steal the blueprints for a giant freeze ray constructed by Thomas Wayne and Baron Von Fries, Mr. Freeze's father. They then found the ray and used it to freeze all of Gotham City, and gave the GCPD an ultimatum: either Jack turns back into The Joker, or she lets everyone in the city die. After a strained alliance between Batman and Jack Napier, Jack turned back into The Joker and battled Neo Joker within the caves where the ray was stationed. When the walls collapsed, Jack tried to sacrifice himself by driving the Batmobile into a narrow causeway and ejecting Harleen Quinzel onto one of the motorcycles, telling her to go and get Neo Joker. Fortunately, Jack survived and Marian was captured after she and Harleen had a fight. She was then taken to Arkham Asylum and became one of it's newest inmates. However, she got what she wanted, as Jack’s pills wore off and he become The Joker once again.

Ember Crawford was born into a poor family in Glasgow, Scotland. Her father worked in Steel Mill as a smelter while her mother worked in a brewery. After her great-grandfather died, her family inherited the decaying Crawford Clan castle in the Scottish Highlands. While living in the castle, Ember spent a lot of her time in the castle's humongous library, reading books about knights battling the incarnations of evil. She loved every single story, and would often play knights and dragons with the family dog. When she turned 12, her father told her about their family history. Their ancestors used to be Templar knights back during the Crusades, and they used to be very rich up until the 1980s. Inspired to uphold her family legacy, Ember dedicated herself to learning the ways of the knight. She excelled in school, scoring at the top of her class in literature and sports. She took up sword-fighting in her spare time and soon became one of the best in the country. After she graduated from college, she moved to America to rebuild her family's fortune by working as the curator of the Natural History Museum in Washington, DC. A decade later, Ember had built up quite a successful life in America and was very close to achieving her goal of rebuilding her family fortune. She also worked as a part-time sword-fighting instructor. One day, Jackson Carlyle (a.k.a) Bonfire would make a decision that would change the lives of so many people. Seeing that the supervillain population has exceeded that of the heroes, Bonfire made a risky decision to sell the Super Power serum at a consumer level. Whoever wants to be a hero will be allowed to purchase it and will receive training from the Carlyle Corporation to master their powers as well as defending themselves. Seeing the ultimate way to fulfill her dream, Ember decided to sign up for the super program and was given the superpower serum. Her powers were the ability to control and manifest fire. Wanting to be a sword fighter as well as a flame thrower, she signed on for lessons from Ryuko and Bonfire to become the hero she always wanted to be. A few months later, Ember made her superhero debut to the world as Pyra, the flaming knight of honor.
