for those who've read all quiet, do you think the part where they meet the french women is important to the story and therefore necessary to include in an adaptation?
this is the style i almost settled on for the novel. it took me forever to even get to that point (because i had originally planned to put myself through the ordeal of working traditionally) and even then, after trying time and time again for a month, i still wasn't satisfied. the style just felt too soft and illustrative and i needed something sharp and bold if that makes sense and so i spent another month trying to get there :')
anyway, here's some concept art from back in april or may
no posts lately because i'm not doing great but these studies are all i had motivation for today
i couldn't bring myself to properly taking my time with this because i just closed my software after hour 1 and i couldn't keep going at all
i might need a break
its the last one really
truly
me when realise i didn't draw the two microscopic NCO buttons on the collar of the lance corporal uniform (nodoby cares)
Obsessed with military nerds who are willing to risk a court-martial at best and accused of treason at worst because their favourite tank/aeroplane is ever so slightly wrong (often to the degree that 99% of regular people wouldn't even notice) in a video game
i definitely haven't watched that 10 times
probably one of my favourite scenes in tv shows
