what do you mean elon musk did a nazi salute on live tv at the united states presidential inauguration twice and is now erasing the evidence off the internet by replacing the footage with the crowd cheering instead?
would be a shame if people reblogged this, wouldn’t it?
every single time israel fires on people picking up food or humanitarian aid it truly cuts me to the core. obviously it's equally horrible to fire on civilians escaping the invasion or to bomb hospitals or refugee camps or people just living in their own homes. but there's something so brutal about hitting people right when they have gathered for life-saving aid. by firing on them there the IOF have set up an impossible dilemma where starving people have to choose between death by bullet or death by hunger. they have left no room for palestinians to choose life. i do not know how my government or any other government can just sit by and watch while innocent people continue to be gunned down for the crime of existing in israel's eyeline.
He's saying what we've all been thinking
This is me before the war
honestly when people complain about things like boycotting the oscars, grammys, superbowl, eurovision etc. and say that it's "too much" to expect people to boycott those events, i always automatically think of the 1936 olympics happening in nazi germany. how everyone was just going about the event as usual. in hindsight every normal person can see how messed up that is, everyone would ask themselves "how could all those people possibly sit there and act as if everything is normal?". i wonder if people will one day look back on all the big american and european events happening during the gaza genocide and wonder how anyone could have just sat there and enjoyed them
I think about this all of the time. I KNOW people will look back on this genocide and be in total shock of how so many people continued on like normal, despite how much power we could have if we all stood together instead of trying to ignore Israel killing thousands of people each month.
i know it may seem miniscule, but i genuinely can't stop thinking about how students in gaza were preparing for school around this time last year. and it's not just gazan children i'm referring to. it's little kids who were about to have their first ever day of school. it's university students in their last year of college. it's grad students who've been working so hard in their field, who just had years of labor and effort torn away just like that. we all have the luxury of continuing on, of starting this new chapter in our lives, while theirs seem to be on permanent arrest. it's just not fair. it's heartbreaking
Hey, what’s Winnie the pooh’s favorite color?
You can’t win as a woman in fiction. Be too positive, you become a Mary Sue, have flaws and those flaws are why almost nobody likes you. Be moderate, you have wet-cabbage personality, be exuberant, you are an unrealistic example. Have strong morals, and you’re badly developed, be morally corrupt and you’re hated with such vigour fans will send hate mail to the actress who plays the character. Be kind and soft and in love, you’re a representation of sexism, be cruel, harsh and cold and you’re just a bitch. Be a complex, realistic, ambiguous character, and either your flaws or your positive traits will be ignored or blown out of proportion and into oblivion. There is no winning for female characters.
