it's really bleak to think about bisan winning a peabody and now an emmy tonight for her reporting like yeah with one hand the american elite are giving her awards for her fearlessness and bravery in the face of unspeakable horror and with the other hand the american elite are the ones sending the bombs and the rest of american journalism and media as a field are constantly actively manufacturing consent for the genocide that forces her to keep getting in front of a camera to say it's bisan from gaza and i'm still alive. something something liberals don't believe in politics anymore just in bearing witness to suffering, except the suffering is something they are actively creating. just horrific dystopian shit

This is me before the war
It's international women's day. White feminists will speak about the hijab being "oppressive" but will not speak about the IOF abducting Palestinian women, stripping them of their hijab, and denying them the right to wear it.
It's international women's day. White feminists will tell you the importance of making period products free, but will remain silent when Palestinian women and little girls in Gaza have to use leftover fabric from tents because aid is blocked and they don't have pads.
It's international women's day. White feminists will gladly share fake accusations -which have been debunked- about mass rapes against Israeli women, but will completely ignore the sexual violence and rape threats Palestianian hostages have been and are subjected to in Israeli prisons.
It's international women's day. White feminists will scream about women's education and the Taliban -even though they only use it for their Islamophobic agendas, not out of concern- and they will remain silent when we say schools and universities in Gaza have been bombed, and there is an educational crisis.
Stop looking the other way. Stop being silent. Free Palestine.
He's saying what we've all been thinking
honestly when people complain about things like boycotting the oscars, grammys, superbowl, eurovision etc. and say that it's "too much" to expect people to boycott those events, i always automatically think of the 1936 olympics happening in nazi germany. how everyone was just going about the event as usual. in hindsight every normal person can see how messed up that is, everyone would ask themselves "how could all those people possibly sit there and act as if everything is normal?". i wonder if people will one day look back on all the big american and european events happening during the gaza genocide and wonder how anyone could have just sat there and enjoyed them
I think about this all of the time. I KNOW people will look back on this genocide and be in total shock of how so many people continued on like normal, despite how much power we could have if we all stood together instead of trying to ignore Israel killing thousands of people each month.
February started with false hopes of a ceasefire.
It is now February 15 and the largest medical facility in South Gaza, which sheltered ~2,500 people and had been under siege for two weeks, has been attacked. It is now completely out of function.
We are 21 days away from marking 5 months of ongoing genocide.
Here are several posts with numerous donation links & other ways to help. I’ll also include the tag I use for those posts, where you’ll find individual gofundme’s listed as well. There is also Operation Olive Branch, which has an excel sheet of numerous families in Gaza & how to donate to them + how to contact them. If you can afford it, please consider donating and please, please remember to scroll down to donate to families at the bottom of the list. If you cannot give, please simply share as many resources as you find.
I honestly feel that I am leaving this channel with so much momentum to live my life to the fullest and take as many opportunities that I can. Im going to miss Unus Annus but I will never forget all that I have learned and experienced while going on this wild ride of a year. Thank you. Memento Mori.
