PSA For The ROTTMNT/TMNT Fandom (Repost/Revamp):

Hey everyone, I’m just redoing my PSA for the ROTTMNT/TMNT Fandom because I felt like I didn’t quite elaborate what I said the last time very well and I also felt like I wasn’t very specific about what I said, so I’m gonna rephrase everything that I said before into this post so that you can get a better understanding of what I said last time. Anyways onto the PSA.

1.) FICTION. AFFECTS. REALITY. No matter how many people don’t want to admit this or refuse to acknowledge it, it’s completely true and you need to be better in terms of what you post on the internet. It’s not that hard to not post problematic content online and it’s going to affect people no matter what you post, so be careful and mindful about what you post online. Also, nobody should be posting anything about Tcest, proshipping, NSFW, etc., especially in this fandom, because it’s just not okay and it’s super problematic. Do better, please.

2.) In terms of ships in this fandom, I wanted to rephrase what I said the last time because I felt like I was a bit too aggressive about it; shipping in the fandom is completely fine, as long as it’s not problematic (like shipping April with the turtles, shipping minors with adults/proshipping, certain self-shippers, etc.), other than that shipping in the fandom is totally fine as long as it’s not problematic. Just remember not to be weird about it as well, and don’t harass people about ships too unless it’s problematic, if it is then you should at least call them out on it and hope that they’ll fix their mistake. If they don’t then that’s on them and they’ll fix their mistake eventually once they realize that what they did was wrong.

3.) In terms of NSFW/Sexualization in this fandom, NOBODY should be drawing that in this fandom, especially NSFW of the turtles, because that’s just gross and problematic behavior and not a good idea in general. It’s not that hard to just draw normal fanart of the turtles and other characters, and I absolutely have ZERO respect for you if you draw NSFW art of the turtles/sexualize them. It’s problematic and it needs to be stopped immediately.

In conclusion, please do better in this fandom, don’t make excuses for problematic art/behavior, and DO NOT argue with me in the comments of this post or you will be blocked and reported for arguing with me in the comments. I’m not messing around with this fandom anymore and I need y’all to realize and respect that. Thanks for reading.

I haven’t been on tumblr for quite as long as a lot of people but over several years I’ve noticed this interesting gradual sorta,, shift in the general culture? that it went from this mostly depressed, nihilistic outlook where people would regularly joke about hating themselves and being hopeless and depressed, to a wave of vehemence of “STOP hating everything actually the world is Good and you deserve love!!!” type posts, to now, where those aggressive ‘PSAs’ have faded away and instead I regularly see people romanticizing simple things like stars and hot tea and rainy mornings, and waxing poetic about their friends, and just trying to put love out there. and I don’t know exactly what that means (someone who knows more than me could probably say something smart about generational expression and trauma or popular perception of mental health and whatnot), but I do know that it makes my heart very full to see people learn to love the world and themselves by extension, and a whole userbase adopting healthier coping mechanisms, and therefore teaching the younger users to do so as well. I might just be following different people, but I really do think we’ve grown. everyone has grown. five years ago it wasn’t unusual for the next post on my dash to be a scathing commentary on why nothing matters or an anon ripping into someone they barely knew or someone complaining about how pathetic their interests are. now I have mutuals who get excited and spam reblog art of cows and friends I see tagging each other in pictures of frogs and strangers writing paragraphs about how much I matter. it makes me happy. idk. just an observation I wanted to make. I think people are good and everyone’s just trying their best at the end of the day

BIRD FIGHT

So I went on a walk the other day and after I was about to leave I saw these 2 seagulls fighting over a piece of like bread I think, but they weren’t just like lightly fighting they where OUT FOR BLOOD

Mind u I was walking at a lake so there was also some ducks crows and pigeons ANYWAY

So one of the seagulls freaking AIRBOMBS the other seagull down to the water and tries to drown him by holding down his wings and head in the water

The other birds are doing NOTHING to help and soon a big group of people start to watch

After about 10 minutes of intense fighting, I kid you not, the 2 seagulls start WALKING PN THE PATH, and MAKING SEAGULLS SOUNDS LIKE THEYRE HAVING A DAMN CONVERSATION you can’t make this up istg

So after about 5 minutes they split ways, and the food is long gone by now, so I start thinking: Ok time to go now

NOPE

One of the seagulls JUMPS the other seagull AGAIN and he has his FRIENDS with him, another 3 seagulls, but they’re just flying about them since they’re fighting in the water

They go from Sea to Sky to Sea fighting for about 20 WHILE MINUTES, until one of the seagulls surrenders, swims away, and that’s all

I also got a photo and a couple of vids of them waterboarding eachother

Sadly no airbomb video tho yall are just gonna have to take my word for that one Trust Yall
