F: cancelled flights and beignets by @siempre-bucky javy's flight home is cancelled. you make beignets to cure some of his homesickness.
F: the first 'i love you' by @demxters you didn't need javy to tell you he loved you for you to know that he did. so when he finally said those three words, you weren't surprised.

He was also staring directly into the camera, as if he knew someone was watching. A creepy smile slowly slid onto the teen’s face, and he held up one hand, wiggling his fingers in a slow, eery wave.
The sheriff watched him for a moment, then he sighed and turned slightly. He reached out to open a cabinet door beside him, and pulled out a shelf. It was on a track, so it rolled out of the cabinet fairly easily, and held a small CCTV. Derek frowned and inched his chair to the side a little bit so he could get a better angle.
He was looking at a teenager, or someone at least young enough to be the same age as Scott. He was sitting on a bed in what looked to be a larger room, the area he was in surrounded by four glass walls, with his legs crossed and head tilted.
Derek felt his mouth run dry. He didn’t know who this kid was, but he didn’t like him.
“Who is that?” he asked quietly.
“That,” said the sheriff, “is my son.”

Derek wandered into the store with him, some of the cashiers cooing at Stiles because, yes, yes, he was very cute, thank you. He was getting more attention as a fox than he’d ever gotten as a human.
Figures.
He just pouted while being carried through the store, one of the girls helping Derek with what he needed and bringing it all to the cash register for him since he seemed reluctant to loosen his grip on Stiles. He probably didn’t want him wiggling free and wreaking havoc across the store.
He was pretty destructive, he’d admit that.

(Personally, this is currently really high up on my favorites list. Normally those spots are taken up by whichever isthatbloodonhisshirt (wasterella) fics I'm rereading, but this fic. It's so good.)

What Goes Around Comes Around by KouriArashi
Word count: 71,451
“Well,” Stiles says, “if they’re going to hunt werewolves, I’m going to hunt them.”
It’s a ridiculous statement from a ten-year-old, but he’s obviously one hundred percent sincere. For the first time since the fire, Peter feels life stir inside him, feels purpose. It’s kismet, clearly. He’ll never meet the child he would have had with Olivia. Instead he’s met this boy, this brilliant, determined, cynical child with a world of potential.
Peter kneels down in front of him so they’re at eye level. “How do you feel about doing that together?”
(One of my top ten favorites, right here. I sat down and managed to read the entire fic in two hours and 46 minutes. It is so good. I will be checking out other works by the author.)

Okay but have you considered Stiles’ dad getting shot earlyish in canon, he needs pretty extensive surgery, they don’t know if he’s going to live and Stiles is sitting there alone, shaking apart in the waiting room.
Derek sits down next to him without a word, listens in to the surgery, and calmly tells Stiles exactly what’s going on. He tells Stiles exactly what the doctors are saying to eachother, even when it’s looking bad, stops Stiles from pulling his hair out and stays with him for hours through the whole thing. During a pause, Stiles asks why he’s doing this, and Derek tells him I know what it’s like, not being sure if you’ll have any family left. And that’s the moment Stiles starts to see Derek for who he really is.
(Derek gets to tell him that his dad is going to be okay, lets Stiles collapse into him with relief, feels Stiles’ thank you thank you thank you against the skin of his neck. Derek says it’s the doctors you should be thanking, and Stiles is quiet for a moment before he whispers yeah, but thank you for not making me do this alone.)

Person B takes Person A on a date, as "friends". But they later end up confessing their feelings and making out.
Person A is nervous when Person B leans in, so they back away a bit. Person B tells them that 'it's okay, we don't have to do this if you're not-', but before they can finish, Person A kisses them.
Person A end up confessing their feelings when they are drunk, they didn't expect Person B to reciprocate their feelings. A has difficulty believing them, and B kisses them to prove it.
First kiss as childhood best friends(who were separated), and then first kiss as adults.
"How are you so good at kissing?"
"Did we really just do that?"
Blushing and kissing again, until their lips are swollen.
The way Theo interacts with Donovan in this scene is kinda...you know 👀

Stiles doesn’t look sure, so Derek takes his hands in his — wincing at the movement because of the bullet wound that still hasn’t healed; the Nogitsune’s magic is gone from the wound and Derek himself, as it is from Allison, but some effects remain, because they’re a part of them. Of their hurts and scars.
Nobody knows this better than Stiles, who still wakes up during the night to fight off a shadow that isn’t there, and nobody knows it better than Derek himself, who calms Stiles down after, through calls and gentle voice most days and with firm hands when they’re lucky enough to be together.
