YES! THE BOYFRIENDS! THE BABIES! THE SWEETHEARTS! THEY'RE HERE! (And yes, the title is a reference to a song by Ed Sheeran. I believe it's called "Perfect".)
This is, by far, the most interesting drawing I've done. For one thing, there's actually character poses. For another thing, two characters are actually interacting with each other! And it doesn't look bad! It looks natural! Yes!
I've realized that my most interesting drawings are made from my messiest sketches. I think I focus too much on trying to make the sketch look good, so I'm unable to get most of my ideas out. With this drawing, however, I really wanted to just get my idea out. I didn't focus on making it look good. I just focused on getting the idea across. This resulted in a very messy sketch of Siffrin and Isa dancing together at night. I loved the concept, so I made a refined sketch on a different layer. Actually, I tried to do the line art, but since the sketch was so messy, it just turned out looking like sketch that was a lot clearer than the original sketch. Using this refined sketch, I was able to draw the line art. (By the way, this scene is happening post-game.)
Here are the sketches for reference:
I spent some time coloring it. I added hints of purple on Siffrin's outfit because I wanted it to stand out a little bit from the stark-black sky. By the way, his outfit is based on Loop's design. I have no reasoning for this other than I just thought it was fun. Also! FUN FACT: I'm making a Siffrin bobblehead in my art class. I'm planning on painting Siffrin's cloak kinda like this outfit. (I wasn't sure I was going to be able to get away with just painting him with white paint, so I felt like this was a cool way to incorporate some color in his outfit.) I've already finished sculpting the clay, so I have to wait for it to dry or whatever. I really hope it doesn't blow up in the kiln. I'm really worried that I missed some air bubbles in the clay, so ha ha, that's another thing to give me anxiety! Okay, moving back onto the drawing!
I used the stars to experiment with lighting, and I think it turned out nice. Though, I wish I added more stars. I feel like that would've made the background look more natural.
By the way, this was my first time drawing Isabeau! I think he looks nice in this, but I did mess up his pants. For some reason, I didn't process that he wears striped pants. I don't know. I'm not even sure what the name of what I drew him wearing is. Eh, whatever, it was still fun to draw, albeit more complicated. Another fun fact: I've been drawing Siffrin from memory this whole time. I didn't want to look up references because I was afraid of seeing spoilers. The more I draw them, the more accurate they become. Also, I've spent a couple of minutes analyzing their design while I've been playing the game, so yeah, that helps. But I did need a reference for Isa! ....What? Don't judge me! His design is more complicated than Siffrin's!
Final Fun Fact for this drawing: Siffrin has a darker blush that Isabeau. Okay, bye!
(Onto my last two posts of Siffrin for tonight...)
(Warning: This post contains content that has major spoilers for the secret ending of the game In Stars and Time)
This was a complicated drawing for me to make. I could only use three layers for this, so the line art had to be all in one layer. The bottom layer was the background color and Loop's color. The middle layer was Siffrin's color at 50% opacity. Honestly, the hardest part was doing Siffrin's color because Siffrin's line art is so muddled within Loop's line art. Of course, it didn't help that I decided to give them laced-up boots, but, in my defense, laced-up boots are just cool!
I also duplicated this drawing twice and changed it to just show Loop and Siffrin separately.
I really like how they turned out! Throughout the drawing process, I honestly couldn't tell if they looked good. It was in the ugly stage until I finished it. These two versions of the drawing have given me great relief because I can see that I did a good job drawing Loop and Siffrin.
You might notice that the background of the Siffrin version is a bit different. Since I was limited to three layers, I had to take out Loop's color layer.
....Which also included the background color, so I had to redo it on Siffrin's color layer. I should also mention that I actually redid the character line art on a different layer. I used two different colors for the original line art, and just erasing that thoroughly would've been a nightmare. Besides, I had to change Siffrin's line art to black anyway. I then erased the original character line art so that the background line art remained. Considering how shaky the tree's line art was, I didn't want to redo it.
Anyhow, that's all I've really got to say about this drawing. Despite this drawing containing spoilers for the secret ending, I still haven't gotten it nor seen what happens. I just know the basic gist. So, please refrain from sharing with me specific spoilers about it.
And on a somewhat unrelated note, this week I actually brought home the Siffrin bobblehead I made. I might post a picture of it here. But eh, it doesn't really look good. The clay looks wonky in places, though that is to be expected for my first time using it. The hair is the worst part because my art teacher left my bobblehead to dry before I fully finished it. But whatever, it's fine. It's kinda cute.
Anyhow, before I find a way to make this post longer, bye!
This is just a design I made for Sun from Five Nights At Freddy's: Security Breach. I couldn't draw the strips on Sun's pants quite right, so I instead made a sun pattern for the pants (though it kind of looks like a flower pattern). Anyhow, if you took the time to read this, thank you. I'm an amatuer artist who still hasn't figured out their outstyle and is trying out different things. I probably won't post often, but when I do, it's probably going to be some fanart. Currently, I'm into Five Nights At Freddy's, so my art might be Fnaf related. Thank you for your time and I wish you a wonderful day.
Just a doodle I did of Mabel. I think she might actually have a sweater like this, but I don't remember for sure.
Check out my other Mabel drawing! The artstyle looks different from this piece because I don't have definate artstyle, yet.
really helpful technique ^ once you know how to divide by halves and thirds it makes drawing evenly spaced things in perspective waaay easier:
I've been playing a lot of In Stars and Time recently. I haven't finished the game, yet, but I have finished Act 3. As I've been drawing Siffrin, I've realized that their cloak is rather confusing. For the most part, it's depicted as not having sleeves, but, in some scenes, it definitely has sleeves! I've decided that the cloak has been crafted to have sleeves whenever the wearer needs to have sleeves. Anyhow, I tried to make a full-body drawing of them. I'll admit that the pose is kinda boring. I have to practice drawing more poses. Though, I think I did a pretty good job with the anatomy. Also, I couldn't really figure out the expression on his face, but whatever. Despite that, I had fun making this drawing, and I might post more drawings of this game as I get farther in it.
Edit: I have been informed that Siffrin's cloak canonically has no sleeves! So this drawing can be considered inaccurate. (Also, thank you for ignoring that I definitely drew Siffrin's dagger wrong.)
I'm a 16 year old amature artist. I only speak English, currently. I go by she/her or they/them. I support the LGBTQ. My current fandoms are Gravity Falls and The Owl House. I'm not that knowledgeable about the Gaza situation, so I probably won't be able to help too much. I can only reblog posts about it, at the moment.
