A New History of Fandom Purges

On November 24th, 2018, I posted a list of major deletions of sites or of content on sites that stripped fandom of its history. A bunch of pro-shipper blogs had just been deleted, and people were nervous. I suppose I was thinking “All this has happened before…”

On December 3rd, 2018, Tumblr’s Department of Irony announced the NSFW ban. Thanks for providing this salutary lesson to The Youth and a billion reblogs to me, I guess.

Today, we have AO3 for writing. Audio, images, and video are in as much danger as ever, yet fans attack AO3 every donation drive. For those of you who forget our past…

2017 - Chinese author jailed after being ratted out over fandom drama

2018 - Tumblr deletes pro-shipper blogs

2018 - Tumblr announces NSFW ban

2018 - Wattpad deletes accounts/fics without warning

2019 - China purges weibo of m/m; more women jailed

This is only a small taste of the many times that:

Fannish moderators got bored, ran out of money, or had a falling out, deleting a site/list/forum along the way.

Sites got bought out and closed for being unprofitable.

Fandom got hit as governments targeted piracy or political dissidents.

Fans grudge reported each other.

Official forums got deleted when the canon finished.

It’s not always malicious. It’s not always about us. But we lose every time.

Some of these purges hit everyone. Many of them hit m/m content specifically or female gaze-y material in general. This is why antis are dead wrong. This is why anti-fujoshi policies end up being anti-m/m policies. This is why we need clear labeling, not content restrictions.

This is why we need AO3.

And it’s why we need a solution for audio, visuals, and video too.

Now that I know Mk does talk about Red son and NK being aro I wanna know what Mk gotta say about his precious prince and NK going insane

Does Red son have like "dream" of a nameless (Mk) dude or déjà-vu, ya know like how some people dream of their perfect partner but they have no face they can remember or recognize

To be more precise, it’s what HE did with his Precious Prince that made NK go insane.

NK has the ability called 'Dream Link’, which allows him to interact with others in dreams and experience all sensations. Mainly let MK meet Red Son.

Thank you my friend, I know you have writing errors (maybe) I will still continue why I really liked the idea and you are not so far from the course. there are many stories with the resisty and yes, Dib was the one who shot the irken and now it's time to see what Zim did in these two years. The other is really taking me a long time to translate why I don't understand what I mean ... it's so confusing why now that I reread it I use many idioms that lose meaning in the translation so I'll see how we fix it so you can read it

This crazy story that came out of my crazy head, the base: Song of villanus thing that puts @my-secret-alien-trash in your video where draws a nice comic ZaDr and then I see this other comic where Zim takes this form female androgynous ( Zim is not feminine but i imagine Dib with something as well and the smoky eyes or trans already i'll think about it later) and finally, there is the idea that loves to my beloved monster that is this Dib sexcslave of elites irkens and really I am fascinated by the idea that Dib but it is also something that I have always thought that arises from my heart to see Zim for what was created,

I remember the comic where he's sent to retrieve an artifact of time and makes a lousy job as a leader and I say this is stupid, he can do better.

And well i'm talking  in English about that i'm on a journey of over 8 hours a somewhere in the country to perform the work to which they cannot send someone more why nobody wanted to go and there I volunteered to do so. In addition to that the application that use of dictation prefers the english language to write better than the Spanish for some strange reason.

Got obsessed with the AUs in this fandom, and the bio dads AU from @kyri45 got me theorising, so I had to draw a thing-

Quick context, this is my headcannon on how shadowpeach courting would probably happen in this AU cause wukong is a wuss and wouldn't dare to accidentally ruin anything. So macaque would probably court wukong and it's macaque so court-napping it is (this probably is wayyyy into the future)

she is my OC of a fanfic that I try to translate into English from the beautiful @the-space-case why I would really like her to know about her story .. she is the sister of a main character and she abandoned her medical training to join the ranks of irken warriors before the impending war, later returned to be a medical irken but several things happened and I leave irk in search of answers.

Her name is Dare and she obtained many war achievements for his bloodthirsty massacres of the enemy troops. She is an excellent warrior but a mediocre doctor.she likes sweets and vort dogs 😉
