doctor he wants to talk about his ocs but has nothing concrete to say about them. and yes it's fatal.
harrowhark nonagesimus is the character of all time. she weighs 6 stone soaking wet. she doesn’t sleep. she’s 200 dead babies. she puppets her dead mum and dad. she’s a nun. she’s in love with a frozen corpse. she gets a headache when people talk about sex. she wants to die. her bodyguard is in love with her. her weird colleague is in love with her. she gave herself a lobotomy. she’s being piloted by the soul of the planet earth. she loves bones. she wants to live. she makes soup. she watched god have a threesome. she looks like a ferret. this is all canon
Guys I don’t think I want the body to keep the score anymore
i can't do this anymore! i mean i can, and i will, obviously. but i can't fucking do this anymore!
Im about 100 pgs in! I'm absolutely entranced by Kim's depiction of ballet. I know nothing about ballet schools or the like, but I feel like I do now!! The book is so dreamy and atmospheric, and I love how draws you into the MCs mind.
The story telling jumps between past and present. I'm starting to see our MC really start to fracture as she comes to terms with what she went through when she returns to her home and is faced with familiar people and places. A deeply relatable feeling tbh when you return to your hometown ☠️
Current read! The closest I'll get to being a ballerina.
@ ALL MY FOLLOWERS I am rebranding this blog, since it's my primary blog, into a reading and reviewing blog. Sharing art online has become way less important to me over the years and I no longer wish to share my own art online at all. I will be making a side blog to share art I find here on Tumblr. And I will share that link later. But this blog will be dedicated to me talking about books instead, as I try to move away from heavy use of Instagram.
having thoughts
i have not stopped thinking about this goodreads review for a MOMENT since i read it. it pingpongs in my head at all times. yesterday i walked into the kitchen and i realized i hadn't washed the pot from the night before, and said coldly, "the work of a sad little man who needs to see the ocean." unreal. i know i am changed.
wanted to run this poll again (with a few tweaks) and hopefully get more results
“Public libraries are such important, lovely places!” Yes but do you GO there. Do you STUDY there. Do you meet friends and get coffee there. Do you borrow the FREE, ZERO SUBSCRIPTION, ZERO TRACKING books, audiobooks, ebooks, and films. Have you checked out their events and schemes. Do you sign up for the low cost courses in ASL or knitting or programming or writing your CV that they probably run. Do you know they probably have myriad of schemes to help low income families. Do you hire their low cost rooms if you need them. Have you joined their social groups. Do you use the FREE COMPUTERS. Do you even know what your library is trying to offer you. Listen, the library shouldn’t just exist for you as a nice idea. That’s why more libraries shut every year
