you don’t even get a chance to put your bag down before bakugo is yanking you into his arms, grumbling something about how damn long you kept him waiting.
“katsuki—”
“shut up,” he mumbles, already burying his face into your shoulder. “just lemme have this.”
you sigh, but it’s hard to be exasperated when he’s clinging to you like this—arms tight around your waist, fingers gripping the fabric of your shirt like you might disappear if he lets go.
“you’re so needy,” you tease, running your fingers through his hair.
he grunts. “so what?”
you laugh softly. “so nothing. it’s cute.”
his grip tightens. “ain’t cute.”
you can feel how warm his face gets, even if he’s trying to hide it against your neck. his breath is warm, sending a little shiver down your spine when he mutters, “kiss me.”
you smile, pressing a kiss to his temple.
he tenses. then pulls back just enough to glare at you. “babe. a real one.”
before you can even think about teasing him again, he’s already moving—cupping your face, leaning in, kissing you slow and deep like he’s making up for lost time.
when he finally pulls away, he stays close, forehead resting against yours. “missed you,” he murmurs, barely above a whisper.
your heart melts. “i was only gone for a few hours.”
“too long.” he huffs, dragging you toward the couch. “now shut up and cuddle me.”
my blog caters for a very specific audience which is those who have read exactly the same books as i have so that they get all my references :)
When I see "TFOTA", I don't read it as "The Folk of the Air"
I read it as "tuhfohtah"
As much as I love The Folk of the Air, i wish the uwu-fication of Cardan and Jude 'wears the pants in the relationship' Duarte just STOPS in this fandom 😭
On another note, I wish more people would yuri them instead 😔
Can you guys stop mischaracterising them???? Also, some of you guys need to stop acting like Jude and Cardan are written by sarah j maas (derogatory). Every time i see Jude in certain fanarts potrayed as a skinny white woman that looks like she got plastic surgery done, an angel dies 💔
Don't even get me STARTED on Cardan fanarts. He just looks like an average booktok guy. Y'all will never appreciate non-human love interests 💔 give my man back his tail and make him actually look ethereal and uncanny compared to Jude.
Also. I want Jude to STAND OUT if she's in a fanart with other faeries. I want her to distinctively look human. I want her to look like she doesn't belong with them and make it look so glaringly obvious.
This blog will briefly become a shrine to The Cruel Prince series. Please excuse the chaos.
Interview 🎤🤔💭
~ talking about the folk of the air series
my personal rating — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
~ i read this series over five months ago, and i absolutely loved it. fun fact, this was the first fantasy book i had picked up in a long time. holly black has a way of pulling you into her world, making every moment feel so immersive and addictive that putting the book down feels impossible.
~ the main reason i picked up this series was simple, I heard “enemies to lovers” and thought, yes, this is exactly what i need. but it took me months to finally start the first book, and when i did, it did not disappoint. the tension between cardan and jude was real, they truly hated each other, and watching their relationship shift felt surprisingly realistic. the betrayal, the distance, the way they found their way back to each other, it all felt so raw. but beyond the romance, the plot itself was incredible. it was political, full of betrayals, and packed with moments that made me cry, hate and then fall in love with the story all over again.
~ this story made the little girl in me so happy. growing up, i was obsessed with watching fantasy films and it always fascinated me. to this day, i still won’t stop recommending this series to anyone looking to get into reading or diving into fantasy for the first time.
also speaking of jakub różalski this painting of his is my FAVOURITE like yes girl snitch on the knight!!! get his ass!!!
Thinking about how Odysseus carved the wedding bed out of an olive tree, which means the bed is rooted in the ground.
Thinking about the line “You don’t think I know my own palace? I built it!”.
Thinking about the fact that Odysseus built his entire palace around that olive tree, his and Penelope’s wedding bed, a symbol of their love.
Odysseus’ world is literally built around his love for Penelope.
…..i’m not crying, i just have an odypen in my eye.
It’s been exactly seven days today that i started The Cruel Prince and i’ve INHALED every single book in that established universe. I need to lie down.
old war veterans used to marry young women from poor situations solely so their money went to someone who needed it when they died and frankly. that'd Levi coded to be
