Omg I Was Making A Coraline AU With One Of My Ghostbusters Ocs What

Thanks for the tag! Of course when I wanna write a fun fact about myself I forget all knowledge immediately.

My fun fact is that I’m making a Ghostbusters fan comic! I’ve been making it since April of last year and I’m currently on page 18, and I’ve used it as a good way to show how my art style and storytelling skills have improved. Ooh, seasonal headcanons my beloved. I’d imagine them loving the guys to bits! I have a lot of personal headcanons with Ray’s family (which unfortunately get a little depressing, I’ll probably elaborate more soon if you guys want to hear them), but I’d imagine most of them love the guys and welcome them with open arms to any family event. For the gifts the OG four guys (and janine) get one another, it would probably not be big things, but rather smaller, more personal and meaningful stuff. Things relating to their group inside jokes, books they’ve been eying, snacks they enjoy. The little things that feel more meaningful. And of course they’d spend time with each other, sharing their own family holiday traditions and recipes. Overall, the guys are like family to one another and it shows, making for sweet, wholesome holidays.

As for my one word personal headcanon prompts, there are now three! “Curse,” “Family,” and “Parallels” ! They all associate with Peter and Ray specifically. If you guys want to know, speak up- be warned they’re kinda angsty

Peter / Dana.

A couple of slightly different vibes here as I find their relationship dynamic to be very interesting, a little turbulent, but otherwise very sound - it's cute

"Chick Habit" -> April March (fairly self-explanatory, being into someone who's a womaniser like Peter is presumably a little tough)

& "Angel" -> Black Pumas (this one is more traditionally romantic and enamoured, because under all his peacocking, there is a very deep affection for Dana on Peter's end)

Egon / Peter.

Interesting dynamic for certain, I've seen floating around a couple of times, and I like the playful, snarky component - as they're both very dry men.

"Spooky" -> Dusty Springfield (this is because they're Ghostbusters, and I like the vibe I'm afraid, but also Peter being a flirt rears it head again)

Winston / Ray.

I loveeee these two, especially if you're taking the modern films into account, which seem to suggest that their connection extends for decades and both appear to canonically lack partners (unlike Peter) - so hey, who's to say they stuck it out long term. But honestly, they have such a good dynamic. Winston is a fairly logical, steady person, and Ray is... very whimsical. But collectively, they work together so well - love their scenes in GBII.

"Why Do You Let Me Stay Here?" -> She & Him. (A soppy one with a lot of endearment, couldn't help myself)

I was thinking the same thing!! I watched Afterlife yesterday and as a huge Ghostbusters and Lemon Demon fan, the connections are so sad and yet they make so much sense! Poor Egon, man. He had to sacrifice everything just to protect the world. Also, the line “If I make it through tonight” kind of reminds me of how he was seen as paranoid, and how he most likely feared for his own death. The use of “If” just hits hard here, because he doesn’t end up making it through that night.

Touch Tone Telephone is so "Afterlife Egon Spengler trying to get the other Ghostbusters to believe him before he died" and I'm sad about it.

Since people seem to really like Over the Ghost Wall/Over The Busted Wall, should I make a couple rewrites of the songs? And if so, which ones?

I’ve also been planning on rewatching the actual show so I can get a better grasp of the characters. And who would be who… Lucky would be Sara, but that’s really all I have because I need to rewatch the show.. any suggestions?
